Saints bring Shayne Graham back

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(2/16/2014) The Saints signed kicker Shayne Graham to a one-year contract Saturday, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He will be paid the veteran minimum of $955,000, after signing with the Saints in december and playing in four games.

Graham connected on both of his field-goal attempts in the regular season and 4 of 6 in the postseason, while making 10 extra-point attempts.

Shayne Graham lays goose egg in Seattle

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(1/11/2014) When your best moment is an onside kick, you know it's a tough day. And it was a tough day Saturday in Seattle for Saints placekicker Shayne Graham, though the gusting wind was certainly a factor.

Graham missed two field goal attempts. The first just missed left from 45 yards out in the first quarter, but it must be pointed out that the holder placed the laces forward. His second attempt was way off from 48 yards and proved to be a key miss in the fourth quarter.

He did squib an onside kick that his team recovered with time running out, but it did not result in the completion of a comeback.

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(1/8/2014) Saints kicker Shayne Graham has made all six of his field goals since replacing Garrett Hartley, and "there hasn't been a shaky kick among them," reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "Every ball has tracked through the uprights as if guided by GPS satellites."

Graham's 32-yard field goal at the buzzer beat the Eagles in the wild card round. It was his first game-winner in six career playoff games. He'll visit Seattle in Saturday's divisional playoffs.

(1/4/2014) Saints kicker Shayne Graham showed some late-game heroics as he drilled a 32-yard field goal as time expired to lift his team past the Eagles, 26-24, in the opening round of the playoffs Saturday night.

Graham also added field goals from 36, 46 and then from 35 yards out, finishing the game 4 for 4 from field goal range with two extra points. He has converted all six of his field goal attempts since signing with the Saints.

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(9/17/2013) Placekicker Shayne Graham has been released by the Steelers, ESPN is reporting. The veteran was signed last Monday after Shaun Suisham injured his hamstring in Week 1. But Suisham returned in time for the Cincinnati game, which precipitated the release of the 35-year-old Graham.

(9/16/2013) Tight end Heath Miller (knee) and running back Le'Veon Bell (foot), who earlier were ruled out for Monday night's game in Cincinnati, head the Steelers' list of inactives. Also sitting out are cornerbacks Cortez Allen (ankle) and Curtis Brown (illness), quarterback Landry Jones, kicker Shayne Graham and center/guard Cody Wallace.

Shayne Graham out with back problem

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/29/2013) Why did punter Spencer Lanning attempt (and miss) a field goal for the Browns late in the first quarter at Chicago? Because placekicker Shayne Graham hurt his back and his return is questionable, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

The Browns still have placekicker Brandon Bogotay on the roster.

Browns to carry two kickers?

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(7/3/2013) The Browns might wind up carrying two kickers this season: veteran Shayne Graham for field goals and rookie Brandon Bogotay for kickoffs. Bogotay was a kickoff specialist in college, attempting only three field goals. Graham has been kicking field goals for NFL teams since 2001.

Coach Rob Chudzinski alluded to a kicking competition between the two, something that might last into the preseason, according to ESPN.
