News: The Colts claimed LB Kevin Bentley off waivers on Tuesday. He was released by the Jaguars on Monday.
Analysis: Bentley posted just one tackle in one game with the Jaguars and can continue to be ignored in all Fantasy IDP formats at this point.
News: The Jaguars announced Monday that rookie LB Stephen Franklin was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster. The team released Kevin Bentley to make room.
Analysis: Bentley has played just one game with the Jaguars this season after being signed in late November. He has been dealing with a knee injury and it just seems the team needed a healthy LB. Ignore Bentley in all Fantasy formats.
News: The Jaguars placed LB Clint Session (head) on injured reserve Tuesday. LB Kevin Bentley was signed to take his roster spot.
Analysis: Bentley has played 10 seasons, suiting up for Cleveland, Seattle, Houston and San Diego. He has 37 starts under his belt, but he will likely start out as a reserve LB with Jacksonville. Ignore him in Fantasy IDP formats.
News: The Chargers signed former Texans LB Kevin Bentley on Wednesday to a one-year deal. The move comes as the veteran heads into his 10th NFL campaign. Bentley had 55 tackles and an interception in 13 games last season.
Analysis: Bentley's signing Wednesday is an insurance move in case Stephen Cooper can't play due to a torn right biceps. Cooper, hurt in Sunday night's exhibition win at Dallas, returned to practice on Wednesday and hopes to play in Saturday night's game at Arizona. Fantasy owners should not consider Bentley an option in IDP formats unless he somehow wins a starting job, which is unlikely.
News: Texans LB Kevin Bentley totaled a team-high eight tackles while also getting an interception in Week 11 against the Jets. He also had two tackles for loss and one fumble recovery. Bentley has 20 tackles in his last three games.
Analysis: Bentley is now playing middle linebacker for the Texans with DeMeco Ryans on IR. We doubt Bentley will be as good as Ryans, but he is holding his own. At least Bentley isn't a useless Fantasy option anymore. He does have some appeal in larger IDP formats.
News: Texans coach Gary Kubiak said both LB Kevin Bentley and LB Darryl Sharpton are possible replacements for DeMeco Ryans at middle linebacker. However, a decision cant be made until they recover from injuries. Bentley missed Sundays win with a knee injury, while Sharpton was out with an ankle injury.
Analysis: Bentley has missed the last three games with a knee injury, He has just three tackles on the season, but mostly just plays on special teams. Consider him a low-end Fantasy LB if is named the starter.
News: The Texans announced Wednesday that LB Kevin Bentley had knee surgery. No timetable was given for his return, but he should be back this season.
Analysis: Bentley is the special teams captain for Houston, but is buried on the depth chart at LB. As a result, you can continue to ignore him in IDP Fantasy play.
News: Houston DB Jacques Reeves and LB Kevin Bentley both recovered fumbles Week 16 at Oakland. Bentley also had six tackles while Reeves had two.
Analysis: Neither played does enough consistently in Fantasy to be worth owning in IDP leagues. LEave them on waivers.
News: In the Texans' 13-12 win vs. the Titans in Week 15, notable Texans defenders included LB Kevin Bentley (eight total tackles), DB Nick Ferguson (five solo tackles, forced fumble), LB DeMeco Ryans (three total tackles, forced fumble) and CB Fred Bennett (one interception).
Analysis: Ryans remains a must-start Fantasy LB, though he hasn't been as awesome as he was a year ago. The rest of the players don't normally post enough stats to warrant Fantasy use. Keep them off of rosters.
News: Texans LB Kevin Bentley recorded the first sack of his seven-year career Week 10 against the Ravens. He finished with seven tackles, four solo.
Analysis: Obviously, if Bentley is just now making noise, you probably shouldn't bother with him in Fantasy. Keep an eye on his progress, but leave him on waivers.
News: Linebacker Zac Diles, who leads the Texans in tackles, broke his left leg and will miss the rest of the season. Diles was injured early in practice Wednesday in what coach Gary Kubiak described as a freak accident. He was scheduled to have a rod placed in his tibia Wednesday night. The second-year player was a 2007 seventh-round draft pick for the Texans. He has started each game this season and has 66 tackles and an interception. Kevin Bentley will start in his place against Baltimore.
Analysis: Diles is a safe drop from all Fantasy leagues at this point, while Bentley is no better than a reserve option in the deepest of IDP formats.
News: The Texans have reached a contract agreement with Seattle LB Kevin Bentley. Bentley, 28, is getting a three-year, $4 million deal with a $1 million signing bonus. Bentley, 6-0, 238, can play outside or inside. He was a backup who excelled on special teams during three seasons with the Seahawks. He played his first three seasons with the Browns. Bentley will compete for a starting job at outside linebacker with Zac Diles and Danny Clark if the Texans re-sign him.
Analysis: Bentley has minimal Fantasy value at this time. He could improve with the Texans, but that will be determined likely once the season starts.

The Seahawks' inactives are: DL Jason Babin, LB Kevin Bentley, QB Charlie Frye (No. 3/emergency QB), WR D.J. Hackett, TE Bennie Joppru, RB Maurice Morris and WR Ben Obomanu.
Analysis: Perry and Hackett remain sidelined for their respective teams and should be benched in Fantasy play as well. The remainder of the players listed here aren't reliable Fantasy owners.
