Browns dump Dorsey, four others
|

| Terry Cousin, DB CLE | |
| News: Quarterbacks Ken Dorsey and Bruce Gradkowski, who both started games for Cleveland last season, were cut by the Browns on Monday. Dorsey was the club's third-string quarterback but had to make three starts after the Browns lost Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn to season-ending injuries. He injured his ribs and sustained a mild concussion in a Week 16 loss at Cincinnati, forcing the club to sign Gradkowski for the season finale against Pittsburgh. The Browns also terminated the contracts of linebacker Antwan Peek, cornerback Terry Cousin and kicker Jason Reda. Peek missed the entire 2008 season after sustaining a knee injury during training camp. He played in 14 games for the Browns in 2007. | Analysis: As much as we like Dorsey's mind for the game, we know his physical ability won't match up with the rest of the league, and he's only worth using when he's starting, which isn't often for the Miami Hurricane. Peek has a little potential if he can make his knee problems disappear. Everyone else isn't productive enough to warrant Fantasy use and should be ignored. |
Cousin replaced at nickel corner

| News: The Sports Xchange notes that Mike Adams has replaced Terry Cousin as the nickel back for the Cleveland Browns. "I'm an athlete just like the opposing wide receivers are athletes," Adams said. "I make it work." | Analysis: Adams is quicker than Cousin. Unfortunately, as the nickle corner, he won't play enough to be considered useful in most IDP Fantasy formats. He'll only be in with the nickle package. Cousin is not expected to produce enough stats to warrant use in Fantasy play. Ignore him for now. |
Browns sign CB T. Cousin

| Terry Cousin, DB JAC | |
| News: The Browns signed veteran cornerback Terry Cousin to a two-year contract Friday to help their thin secondary. Cousin played in 156 games and made 68 starts with six teams during an 11-year NFL career. He played in 16 games last season for Jacksonville. The Browns are thin in their defensive backfield. Since March, they've traded cornerback Leigh Bodden to Detroit, released Kenny Wright following an arrest and lost Daven Holly -- a potential starter -- to a season-ending knee injury. Second-year players Eric Wright and Brandon McDonald are at the top of Cleveland's depth chart. | Analysis: Cousin is not expected to produce enough stats to warrant use in Fantasy play. Ignore him for now. |
Jaguars defenders lend a claw

| Terry Cousin, DB JAC | |
| News: Notable Jaguars defenders from Week 16 vs. Oakland include: DE Bobby McCray (two solo tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble), LB Justin Durant (eight total tackles, sack), DL Rob Meier (four total tackles, sack), FS Reggie Nelson (three total tackles, interception), CB Terry Cousin (two solo tackles, interception), DB Jamaal Fudge (solo tackle, interception), SS Sammy Knight (eight total tackles). | Analysis: Of these dudes, McCray, Durant, Nelson and Knight are good IDP options for Week 17 at Houston. |
Jaguars defenders do their job

| News: Jaguars LB Daryl Smith (eight tackles), DB Terry Cousin (seven tackles, pass defended), DB Brian Williams (four tackles), LB Clint Ingram (four tackles) and DL Paul Spicer (four tackles, sack) all had nice outings in Jacksonville's 36-14 win over the Bills in Week 12. | Analysis: Spicer is the only one of these players with any Fantasy value and his is minimal at the DL position. Bench them all in Week 13 against the Colts. |
