(5/28/2012) Agent Ralph Cindrich told KDKA-FM over the holiday weekend that client James Farrior, for a decade the Steelers' defensive captain and inside linebacker, hasn't fully decided if he'll retire. But they have talked with the Steelers about a potential news conference.

(10/16/2011) Pittsburgh LB James Farrior racked up a team-high 11 tackles, including six solo stops, during the Steelers' 17-13 victory over Jacksonville in Week 6 on Sunday. Farrior also had a sack -- one of five recorded by Pittsburgh in the game -- for the first time since Week 1.

(10/9/2011) With LB James Harrison sidelined by a broken orbital bone, Steelers LB James Farrior got back to being a tackles machine Week 5 against the Titans. Farrior led the team with a season-high 13 tackles, including nine solo. His previous high for this season was six. He reportedly suffered a shoulder injury in the game, but coach Mike Tomlin said it wasn't serious.

(12/24/2010) Steelers LB James Farrior picked up his sixth sack of the year in Week 16 against the Panthers. He brought down QB Jimmy Clausen and finished with seven tackles, including two for a loss, in the 27-3 win.

Farrior hits century mark


(12/20/2010) For the seventh time in his career LB James Farrior has recorded at least 100 tackles. He sits right at the century mark after his Week 15 performance of seven tackles, six solo, and one sack. It was the only big hit put on Jets QB Mark Sanchez all day as he was able to evade defenders most of the game. The Steelers defense gave up a season-high 106 rushing yards in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Jets.

(11/21/2010) Pittsburgh LB James Farrior had a great game against the Raiders in Week 11. Farrior led the Steelers in the 35-3 trouncing with eight tackles. Seven of those tackles were solo. Farrior added a sack in the game and had two tackles for a loss. He also defended a pass.
