News: The Miami Dolphins resigned safety Yeremiah Bell to a one-year contract Monday. Bell, who turned 30 Monday, is entering his fifth NFL season after the Dolphins made him a sixth-round draft choice in 2003. In his previous four campaigns, he has played in 46 games, including 12 starts. During that time, the 6-0, 200-pounder has totaled 96 tackles, five sacks, an interception, three fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles. He was limited to one game last year after sustaining a ruptured left Achilles’ tendon in the season-opener at Washington on September 9. He turned in the best season of his career in 2006 when he started 11 of the 16 games in which he played and recorded 65 tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.
Analysis: Bell is a decent low-end Fantasy option in IDP leagues. Keep an eye on how he does in his comeback from the torn Achilles. His return to the Dolphins should improve the DST.
News: Dolphins DB Yeremiah Bell will miss the rest of the season with a torn left Achilles' tendon, a blow to an already thin secondary. Bell was hurt in the third quarter of Sunday's season-opening loss at Washington. "He had done everything to have a great year," coach Cam Cameron said Monday. "This is the tough part of the business."
Analysis: Bell bolstered the defense when he became a starter midway through last season. He'll likely be replaced by Travares Tillman, who started 17 games in 2005-06, and 2006 first-round draft pick Jason Allen may be moved from cornerback to provide depth at safety, Cameron said. This isn't good for the Dolphins DST since Bell is arguably their best DB. Bell should not be owned in IDP leagues at this point.
News: According to the Miami Herald, Dolphins DB Yeremiah Bell could be sidelined for the season with an Achilles' injury. Bell will undergo an MRI Monday for a further evaluation.
Analysis: This isn't good for the Dolphins DST since Bell is arguably their best DB. Continue to monitor Bell's status to see what develops, but Miami's secondary was already a problem area. Bell should not be owned in most IDP leagues, but keep an eye on what happens.

Analysis: Bell should be considered a low-end DB in IDP leagues and a good sleeper candidate. He makes tackles and has a nose for the football, so consider using a late-round flier on him if you're looking for a DB.
News: The Dolphins have tendered restricted free agents DB Yeremiah Bell, punter Donnie Jones, QB Cleo Lemon and WR/KR Wes Welker. If any of them sign an offer sheet with another team, the Dolphins have the right of first refusal. If they opt not to match the offer sheet, they would receive as compensation a second-round pick for Bell, Lemon or Welker. Jones would fetch a seventh.
Analysis: We think it's interesting that the Dolphins used the second-round tender on Lemon, Bell and Welker. Clearly, they want to deter other teams from signing any of them, and they'll probably succeed in that regard. Fantasywise, Welker carries value as a reserve WR in deeper Fantasy leagues while Bell is a nice DB to keep on as a prospect in dynasty leagues. Lemon will be a backup QB for Miami next season and shouldn't be drafted.

DL Kevin Carter had six tackles and a fumble recovery. LB Donnie Spragan had two tackles and recovered a fumble. DB Yeremiah Bell had eight tackles.
Analysis: Look for the Dolphins DST to rebound in Week 16 against the Jets. Consider the DST a low-end No. 1 option and use all regular IDP players.
