Yeremiah Bell expected to retire

(4/7/2014) The Cardinals offered safety Yeremiah Bell a one-year contract, but the 36-year-old likely will retire, reports Fox Sports 910. Bell started every game last season, recording 76 tackles, 10 pass breakups, two interceptions and a sack.

Bell posted four seasons with at least 100 tackles in his 10-year career.

(12/1/2013) Cardinals defensive back Yeremiah Bell, who was listed as probable on Friday's injury report, is active for Week 13 at Philadelphia. Bell was limited in practice by a knee injury Wednesday but was able to practice in full Thursday and Friday.

All three players were able to participate in full practice Friday. Both Bell and Johnson were limited in practice Wednesday.

(11/18/2013) Cardinals safety Yeremiah Bell totaled five solo tackles and one interception during a 27-14 win Week 11 at Jacksonville. It was his second interception this season.

Bell has 49 tackles (42 solo) and seven pass defenses through 10 games.

(10/18/2013) Cardinals defensive back Yeremiah Bell racked up seven tackles, but did little else in a Week 7 loss to the Cardinals Thursday. Bell had his seven solo stops as well as a pass defense, but recorded no other stats in a 34-22 loss.

Cardinals DST keeps forcing turnovers

(10/13/2013) The Cardinals DST produced at least two turnovers for the third straight week in the 32-20 loss at San Francisco. But the defense had no answer for 49ers tight end Vernon Davis, who caught eight passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns.

Safety Yeremiah Bell intercepted Colin Kaepernick at the goal lline, and linebacker Daryl Washington recovered a Kaepernick fumble. Defensive tackle Darnell Dockett had a sack. Defensive end Calais Campbell and linebacker Karlos Dansby combined for a sack.

The Cardinals DST probably will be without Campbell when it plays Seattle on Thursday. Campbell was taken off the field on a stretcher in Week 6.


Cardinals defenders come through in Week 4 win

(9/30/2013) Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby, safety Yeremiah Bell and linebacker Dontay Moch were some of the standout players for the defense during a 13-10 win Week 4 at Tampa Bay.

Dansby had a team-high nine tackles -- all solo. Bell totaled seven tackles (four solo, two for loss) and one sack. Moch had two solo tackles, one sack and two quarterback hits. 

Other Cardinals defenders who made an impact Sunday were defensive back Tony Jefferson (seven tackles), linebacker Jasper Brinkley (seven tackles) and safety Tyrann Mathieu (six tackles).
