News: Less than a week after being released by the Chargers, defensive lineman Antonio Garay agreed to a one-year deal with the Jets on Friday, ESPN.com reports. Garay, who spent time on New York's practice squad earlier in his career, spent the past three-plus season with San Diego.
Analysis: Garay appeared in only eight games with the Chargers last season and finished with 16 tackles and a sack. He will help bolster a Jets defensive line that has lost key members in Sione Pouha and Mike DeVito. However, his numbers don't support consideration in any Fantasy formats.
News: NFL Network reports the Chargers will release defensive tackle Antonio Garay.
Analysis: Garay has bounced around the league but had a good thing going in San Diego until injuries robbed him of eight games last season. He'll always be more of a run stuffer and defensive role player than a massive stat producer for Fantasy leaguers.
News: Chargers DL Antonio Garay registered his second sack of the season in Week 9 against the Packers. He finished with six tackles -- three solo -- in the 45-38 win and was also credited with a quarterback hit.
Analysis: Garay has played well this season and now has 33 tackles on the season. However, he doesn't rack up a ton of tackles or sacks and therefore should only be considered more of a low-end option heading into Week 10.
News: San Diego DL Antonio Garay netted six tackles, including one for a loss, during the Chargers' 35-21 loss to New England in Week 2 on Sunday. Garay matched his total output during Week 1 against Minnesota on his four solo stops versus the Patriots.
Analysis: Garay also recorded a sack of Vikings QB Donovan McNabb in the opener, but could not reach New England's Tom Brady as he threw for an astounding 423 yards. Garay finished with a career-high 48 tackles last season and could eclipse that mark this year. Fantasy owners should consider him a low-end option in deeper IDP formats.
News: Chargers DL Antonio Garay suited up Week 15 against the 49ers despite dealing with an ankle injury. He finished with three solo tackles and one sack -- his fifth of the season and first since Week 9.
Analysis: Garay is finally producing now that he has received regular playing time for the first time in his career. He does well against the rush and pass, but Garay is still more of a No. 3 Fantasy DL.
News: Desoite dealing with an ankle issue, San Diego DT Antonio Garay is not among the team's inactives for the Week 15 game against the 49ers. He was listed as probable on Wednesday.
Analysis: Garay is in his first season of significant playing time in the NFL, and he's put together a decent year with 41 tackles and four sacks. Keep rolling with him in Fantasy play if you normally do.
News: San Diego DT Antonio Garay (ankle) is listed as probable heading into the Week 15 game against the 49ers. He saw limited practice on Monday and no practice time on Tuesday before seeing full participation on Thursday.
Analysis: Garay is in his first season of significant playing time in the NFL, and he's put together a decent year with 41 tackles and four sacks. He looks like he will be available for the Week 15 game, so keep rolling with him in Fantasy play if you normally do.
News: San Diego DT Antonio Garay finished with three tackles in the Chargers' rout of Kansas City in Week 14. Garay, who slightly injured his ankle against Oakland in Week 13, showed no ill effects and finished his second consecutive game with three tackles.
Analysis: Garay, who has 41 tackles this season, helped the Chargers limit the Chiefs to just 48 rushing yards. He should be considered a low-end Fantasy option in IDP leagues heading into Week 15 against San Francisco.
News: Chargers DT Antonio Garay injured his ankle in Week 13 against the Raiders but he was able to return to the game after a short break. He finished with four tackles in the 28-13 loss.
Analysis: Garay has seen some serious playing time this season and has 32 tackles to go with four sacks. Fantasy owners in IDP formats should keep an eye on his status heading into Week 14 against the Chiefs. When healthy, Garay is a low-end Fantasy DT.
News: DL Antonio Garay registered his first career sack in the Week 4 win against the Cardinals. He also added two tackles, one for a loss.
Analysis: Garay has no real Fantasy value unless he can become more of a contributor for San Diego. Ignore him until then.
News: Chargers QB Charlie Whitehurst, DB Dante Hughes, RB Michael Bennett, DL Alfonso Boone, DL Antonio Garay and WR Craig Davis have all been ruled inactive for Week 14 at Dallas.
Analysis: Most of these players are reserves or special teams contributors for the Chargers. They don't regularly stat when they are active and have little to no Fantasy appeal. Keep them reserved for Week 14.
News: On Monday, the Bears placed DL Antonio Garay (leg) and DT Anthony Adams (triceps) on Injured Reserve, promoting DT Babatunde Oshinowo from the practice squad.
Analysis: No one listed above should be considered for Fantasy use. The Bears play at Minnesota in Week 15.
News: Bears DL Antonio Garay was carted off the field with an ankle injury in the first half during a Week 14 loss to the Redskins. He was chopped blocked by Redskins OL Chris Samuels and did not record a stat before leaving the game.
Analysis: Garay came into the contest with just five tackles in five games. He was seeing extended playing time as the Bears' defensive line has been beat up at times this season. Garay has little to no Fantasy value when healthy.
News: Notable Bearss inactives from Week 13 vs. the N.Y. Giants include QB Kyle Orton (No. 3/emergency QB), CB Nathan Vasher, LB Nick Roach, LB Darrell McClover, WR Mike Hass and DE Antonio Garay.
Analysis: Aside from Vasher, none of these Bears should be owned in standard Fantasy play at this time.
News: Bears QB Kyle Orton, DB Nathan Vasher, DB Brandon McGowan, RB Lousaka Polite, LB Rod Wilson, WR Mike Hass and DL Antonio Garay are all inactive for Week 10 at Oakland.
Analysis: Vasher continues to be plagued by a groin injury and there is no timetable on his return. He is a low-end Fantasy DB when healthy. The remaining inactive players have little to no Fantasy value at this time. Keep them all reserved Week 10.
News: The Chicago Bears announced that DL Antonio Garay, DB Josh Gattis, WR Mike Hass, LB Darrell McClover, third QB Kyle Orton, FB Lousaka Polite and DB Nathan Vasher were inactive for Week 5 at Green Bay.
Analysis: Garay is not worth a look in any Fantasy IDP leagues for Week 6 against the Vikings.
News: Bears DB Corey Graham, RB Lousaka Polite, WR Mike Hass, DL Antonio Garay and QB Kyle Orton (3rd QB) are all inactive for Week 2 vs. Kansas City.
Analysis: None of these players are solid Fantasy contributors when healthy. Keep them reserved in all Fantasy formats for Week 2.
News: The Chicago Bears elevated defensive tackle Antonio Garay to the active roster and signed cornerback Adebola Jimoh on Tuesday. The moves came one day after Chicago learned safety Mike Brown and defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek would miss the rest of the season with knee injuries.
Analysis: Garay was the practice squad after appearing in four games for the Bears last year. Jimoh had 65 special teams tackles and 28 on defense over four seasons with the Washington Redskins. Neither player is particularly useful in IDP Fantasy leagues heading into Week 2 against the Chiefs.
News: The Chicago Bears waived 18 players Saturday, including backup defensive tackle Antonio Garay, who had been expected to provide depth on the defensive line and Chris Leak, the quarterback for national champion Florida last season. Also waived were running back Josh Allen; wide receiver David Ball; defensive end Copeland Bryan; defensive tackle Tory Collins; safety Tyler Everett; defensive back Greg Fassitt; defensive end Chris Frome; wide receiver Drisan James; tight end Fonel Mines; defensive back Tim Mixon; tight end Brett Pierce; safety Andrew Shanle; and linebacker Danny Verdun-Wheeler.
Analysis: Most of the cut players are either past their prime or have had little to no impact during their NFL careers. Ignore them in all Fantasy formats at this time.
News: Notable Bears who were inactive for Week 17 include: WR Justin Gage, QB Kyle Orton (No. 3 QB), S Nick Turnbull, CB Charles Tillman, S Todd Johnson, FB Jason McKie and DT Antonio Garay.
Analysis: Of these players, only Tillman deserves Fantasy consideration in 2007 play, but obviously only in IDP leagues.
News: The Bears inactives for Week 13 against Minnesota are WR Justin Gage, QB Kyle Orton, DB Derrick Strait, DB Todd Johnson, RB J.D. Runnels, LB Leon Joe and DL Antonio Garay.

For the Patriots, QB Vinny Testaverde (No. 3 QB), FS Eugene Wilson, DB Chad Scott, SS Rodney Harrison, LB Corey Mays, DT Le Kevin Smith and DE Marquise Hill are inactive.
Analysis: Harrison should remain sidelined in IDP leagues while everyone else shouldn't be on a Fantasy roster.
News: Notable inactives for Week 11 include: Jets QB Kellen Clemens (No. 3 QB), RB Derrick Blaylock, FB B.J. Askew, LB Ryan Riddle, DT C.J. Mosley and DE Dave Ball. For the Bears, QB Kyle Orton (No. 3 QB), CB Dante Wesley, DB Derrick Strait, FB J.D. Runnels, LB Leon Joe, DT Alfonso Boone and DT Antonio Garay are inactive.
Analysis: If the player you're looking at is inactive, then don't use him in Week 11.
News: The Chicago Bears announced WR Bernard Berrian (ribs), DT Antonio Garay, LB Darrell McClover, OG Antonio Oakley, QB Kyle Orton, FB J.D. Runnels and DB Dante Wesley were inactive for Week 10 against the Giants.
Analysis: With the exception of Berrian, none of the players mentioned are worth using in Week 11 at N.Y. Jets.
News: The Bears inactives for Sunday's game against the Dolphins are WR Mark Bradley, QB Kyle Orton, DB Chris Harris, RB J.D. Runnels, LB Darrell McClover, DL Alfonso Boone and DL Antonio Garay.

News: Notable inactives for the 49ers-Bears Week 8 game include: Niners QB Shaun Hill (No. 3 QB), CB B.J. Tucker, FB Chris Hetherington, TE Vernon Davis, WR Taylor Jacobs and DT Isaac Sopoaga. For the Bears, QB Kyle Orton (No. 3 QB), WR Mark Bradley, CB Marcus Maxey, FS Chris Harris, FB J.D. Runnels, DT Alfonso Boone and DE Antonio Garay are inactive.
Analysis: Davis has long-term Fantasy value, but the rest of these players are not reliable Fantasy options.
News: The Chicago Bears announced WR Mark Bradley (ankle), DL Antonio Garay, FS Chris Harris, LB Leon Joe (hamstring), OG Anthony Oakley, DL Adewale Ogunleye (hamstring), QB Kyle Orton and FB J.D. Runnels are inactive for Week 6 at Arizona.
Analysis: Only Ogunleye is worth using in IDP Fantasy leagues and Bradley in larger formats. Avoid all of the others.

News: The following Bears players are inactive for Week 1 at Green Bay: WR Justin Gage, WR Mark Bradley, QB Kyle Orton (emergency QB), FB J.D. Runnels, DL Israel Idonije, TE Gabe Reid and DT Antonio Garay.

News: The Cleveland Browns announced that defensive lineman Antonio Garay (knee) was placed on the physically unable to perform list.
Analysis: Garay has no Fantasy value.
