News: Rams linebacker Mario Haggan left early in the first quarter of Week 11 against the Jets with an elbow issue, the team announced. His return is questionable. Haggan appeared to suffer the injury on the third play of the game while attempting to make a tackle in the backfield on New York quarterback Tim Tebow. He did not record a tackle before departing.
Analysis: Haggan was in the starting lineup Sunday, but he is not a major Fantasy contributor as he has just 10 tackles in six games this season. The 32-year-old has also posted a sack and forced a fumble, but should be left on waivers in all Fantasy formats at this point.
News: Denver LB Mario Haggan returned an interception 16 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter during the Broncos' 35-32 victory over Minnesota in Week 13. Haggan was filling in for injured LB Von Miller (thumb) and notched the first interception of his career. He also finished with a game-high 12 tackles, including seven solo stops.
Analysis: Miller was pleased with Haggan's big game as he posted more tackles Sunday than the rookie has turned in during a game this season. It was amazing to see," Miller said. "Ive been rooting for him all week, and it was great to see him go out there in the first quarter and score a touchdown to put us ahead like that. Miller is expected to return in Week 14, which would likely send Haggan back to the bench -- and Fantasy irrelevance.
News: Denver lost LB Mario Haggan to an apparent shoulder injury during the third quarter of Saturday's preseason game against Buffalo. The severity of the injury is unknown and Haggan finished with two tackles, including one for a loss, before departing the game.
Analysis: Haggan is a versatile player for the Broncos, possessing the ability to play both MLB and SLB. He's also one of the team's top special-teams players and racked up 87 tackles and five sacks last season. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on his status as he makes for a low-end option in IDP drafts if healthy.
News: Denver LB Mario Haggan registered a team-high nine tackles in the Broncos' 33-28 loss to San Diego in Week 17. It was Haggan's highest output of the season and have him 87 tackles for the season, a career high.
Analysis: Haggan was in the middle of the majority of the tackling piles on Chargers RB Ryan Mathews, who earned 26 carries in Sunday's game. Haggan also got a hit on San Diego QB Philip Rivers and missed recording the team's sixth sack on the signal-caller. Keep him in mind as a low-end option in Fantasy IDP drafts for 2011.
News: Denver LB Mario Haggan (quadriceps) is listed as active for Week 17 against San Diego. He was limited in practice Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable on the injury report.
Analysis: Haggan has been having a astounding season, racking up 78 tackles and five sacks -- both career highs. He should be considered a decent low-end Fantasy LB in Sunday's game.
News: Broncos LB Mario Haggan (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Week 17 against the Chargers. He was limited in practice Thursday and Friday.
Analysis: Haggan had his best season as a pro in 2010, racking up 78 tackles and five sacks -- both career highs. He is a decent low-end Fantasy LB when healthy. Check his status when inactives are released on Sunday.
News: Broncos LB Mario Haggan was relatively quiet in Week 16 against the Texans. Haggan finished with just one assisted tackle in the 24-23 win, a season-low and was also credited with a quarterback hit in the contest.
Analysis: After a solid performance last week against the Raiders, Haggan disappeared again this Sunday. It now appears he will not reach the 100-tackle mark this season and his inconsistent play of late has made it very hard too start him in most IDP formats. Consider him a low-end Fantasy LB at beast, heading into Week 16.
News: Broncos LB Mario Haggan had another solid game in Week 15 against the Raiders. He recorded six solo tackles and assisted on another, finishing with seven in the 39-23 loss.
Analysis: After back-to-back games with just three tackles, Haggan had a productive game on Sunday and now has 77 on the year. He has an outside chance at reaching the 100-tackle mark for the first time in his career and also could pad his five sacks with two games to go. Heading into Week 16 against the Texans, continue to view Haggan as a viable option in most Fantasy IDP formats.
News: Denver LB Mario Haggan finished with three tackles in the Broncos' 43-13 loss at Arizona in Week 14. Haggan has now notched three stops in three consecutive games for Denver.
Analysis: Haggan's consistent numbers, which includes four games with seven-plus tackles this season, have paved the way for the veteran to establish a career high. He now was 70 tackles this season to go along with five sacks. He warrants Fantasy consideration in IDP leagues for the Broncos' Week 15 game at Oakland.
News: Denver LB Mario Haggan played well Sunday at Kansas City in Week 13. Haggan had three tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.
Analysis: Haggan has 67 tackles -- which is a new career high -- on the year. He also has five sacks for the Broncos, who are looking for some sort of pass rush without Elvis Dumervil. Owners should view him as a No. 3 LB for Week 14 at Arizona since it's a favorable matchup and he's playing well.
News: Denver LB Mario Haggans registered just three tackles, all solo, in Week 12 against St. Louis. One of his tackles was a sack of rookie QB Sam Bradford.
Analysis: Haggan has 64 tackles -- which is a new career high -- on the year. He also has four sacks for the Broncos, who are looking for some sort of pass rush without Elvis Dumervil. Owners should continue to view him as a low-end LB for Week 13.
News: Coming off a three sack performance last week against the Chiefs, Broncos LB Mario Haggan was relatively quiet in Week 11 against the Chargers. Haggan had just four tackles, all solo in the 35-14 loss.
Analysis: Haggan now has 61 tackles on the season and only needs two more to surpass his career high of 63 from a year ago. He also has three sacks on the season and can be considered a low-end Fantasy LB heading into Week 12 against the Rams.
News: Broncos LB Mario Haggan, who had just four career sacks entering Week 10 against the Chiefs, had three sacks and forced a fumble in the 49-29 loss. Haggan recorded two sacks in the first quarter and stripped the ball out of Matt Cassel's hands on the third sack. Jason Hunter picked up the ball and scampered 75 yards for an touchdown. Haggan finished with three sacks and six tackles in the rout.
Analysis: Haggan had his best game of the season on Sunday along with most of the players on the Broncos' defense. He now has 57 tackles on the season and is well on his way of surpassing his career high of 63 from a year ago. He will continue to lineup alongside D.J. Williams and can be considered a low-end Fantasy LB heading into Week 11.

News: Broncos LB Mario Haggan forced a Chris Johnson fumble in the first quarter of Week 4's game with the Titans. He also picked up three tackles.
Analysis: He helped to slow the Titans offense in Week 4, but he doesn't get enough tackles or sacks to be a factor in Fantasy. Consider him only in deeper IDP leagues.
News: Broncos LB Mario Haggan, who moved from his usual inside linebacker spot to the outside when Elvis Dumervil went down injured, will be moved back to his old position. "We're going to put him where he's most comfortable and where he's had the most reps and let him have an opportunity to play there and play fast," said coach Josh McDaniel.
Analysis: Haggan had a career high 63 tackles last season and will now go back to lining up alongside D.J. Williams in the middle of the linebacker scheme. He remains pretty much a non-factor in Fantasy play for now, however.
News: Coach Josh McDaniels said there are no immediate plans to address the roster in the wake of Elvis Dumervil's torn pectoral muscle. The most likely scenario appears to be shifting Mario Haggan from inside to outside LB and using Jarvis Moss as a pass rusher.
Analysis: This will hurt the potential production of Haggan, who was in line to start as an inside linebacker next to D.J. Williams. Akin Ayodele now seems to be the benefactor of those tackles. Neither defender is worth owning in standard IDP league play.
News: The Broncos have signed 30-year-old free agent LB Akin Ayodele. Ayodele is one of three starting linebackers in the NFL who has played in every game since 2002. He played for Miami (2008-2009), Dallas (2006-07) and Jacksonville (2002-05) after being drafted by the Jaguars out of Purdue. Last year, Ayodele started 15 games for the Dolphins and tallied 70 tackles, 60 of them solo, to go along with a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. He has started at least 11 games in each of his eight seasons. Coach Josh McDaniels told the Associated Press that Ayodele will compete for playing time at inside linebacker with Mario Haggan.
Analysis: Ayodele has minimal Fantasy value, especially if he isn't starting. Keep an eye on what happens with Ayodele and Haggan, but neither should be drafted in the majority of IDP leagues.
News: Broncos LB D.J. Williams (eight tackles), LB Elvis Dumervil (five tackles, sack), LB Mario Haggan (four tackles, forced fumble) and DL Vonnie Holliday (two tackles, sack) led the way in a Week 13 rout of Kansas City.
Analysis: Williams and Dumervil are IDP Fantasy studs, while Holliday and Haggan have no Fantasy value at this time. Only start the first two in Week 14 at Indy.
News: In the Broncos' Week 1 win at the Bengals, notable defenders worth a look in Fantasy include: DB Brian Dawkins (11 total tackles), LB D.J. Williams (10 total tackles), LB Andra Davis (nine total tackles, sack), LB Mario Haggan (three total tackles, sack), DL Darrell Reid (tackle, sack) and LB Wesley Woodyard (two total tackles, interception).
Analysis: Of these defenders, Williams, Dawkins and Davis are the only ones worth a look weekly in Fantasy play; Dawkins as a No. 3 DB and Williams and Davis as a decent No. 2 LBs. The Broncos host the Browns in Week 2.
News: Denver LB Mario Haggan, who has been converted from inside linebacker to the outside in the Broncos' 3-4 scheme, worked with the starters for the first time Sunday.
Analysis: Haggan has never been a starter in his career and has just 97 tackles in 73 career games. He could finally be ready to step into a more prominent role in 2009, but Haggan can be left on Fantasy waivers until he proves his worth.
News: The Broncos lost LB Mario Haggan to a knee injury in Week 14 against Kansas City. The severity of the injury was not immediately known.
Analysis: Haggan is only playing due to other injuries and is not expected to make a significant impact in IDP formats. Leave him on the waiver wire.
News: Denver lost safety Marlon McCree on Sunday of Week 9 for several weeks with a high ankle sprain and has signed LB Mario Haggan and DB Roderick Rogers to their active roster in order to make up for the loss of McCree and LB D.J. Williams. They waived tight end Chad Mustard and signed running back Cory Boyd and linebacker Tyson Smith to their practice squad.
Analysis: None of the above players have any Fantasy value at this time. They are all either practice squad players or won't see enough game action to contribute.
