Dallas Clark to retire as a Colt

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(6/16/2014) The Colts announced that tight end Dallas Clark will retire as a member of the team on Wednesday. Clark spent nine of 11 seasons with the Colts along with a stint with the Bucs in 2012 and the Ravens in 2013.

Over his career he posted 505 catches for 5,665 yards and 53 touchdowns (46 with the Colts). He helped Indianapolis win Super Bowl XLI.

'Good chance' Dallas Clark retires

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(2/19/2014) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark "looked like a player who had nothing left" by season's end, and there's a "good chance" he retires, reports ESPN.com. Clark, who turns 35 in June, caught 31 passes for 343 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games.

Dallas Clark unsure on his future

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(1/16/2014) Tight end Dallas Clark says he's not sure about his playing future, reports FOX Sports. He assumes he'll know his status for 2014 in about a month.

Clark is a free agent after posting 343 yards and three touchdowns with the Ravens last season.

Ravens inactives Week 17

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/29/2013) The Ravens have made DL Art Jones, CB Asa Jackson, S Omar Brown, C Ryan Jensen, WR Deonte Thompson, LB John Simon and TE Dallas Clark inactive Week 17.

Clark appears to be a healthy scratch, as he came into the game without any injury issues. Elvis Dumervil, Ray Rice and Torrey Smith will play.

Ravens list inactives for Week 16 showdown vs. Patriots

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(12/22/2013) The Ravens have ruled out defensive back Asa Jackson, safety Omar Brown, linebacker Albert McClellan, center Ryan Jensen, wide receiver Deonte Thompson, tight end Dallas Clark and defensive tackle Brandon Williams inactive for Sunday's home game against the Patriots in Week 16.

Ravens deem two linebackers questionable for Sunday

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/20/2013) Ravens linebackers Elvis Dumervil (ankle) and Albert McClellan (neck) have been deemed questionable for Sunday against New England. The other defensive player on the injury report are safety Asa Jackson (thigh), who is doubtful, and safety Brynden Trawick (ankle), who is probable.

Tight end Dallas Clark (illness) is also probable.

Dallas Clark a surprise healthy scratch Week 14

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12/8/2013) Due to the activation of tight end Dennis Pitta (hip), Ravens tight end Dallas Clark was a surprise healthy scratch Week 14 vs. Minnesota.

Dallas Clark a fringe No. 2 Fantasy TE for Week 14

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12/3/2013) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark had his third one-catch game in his last five appearances Week 13. He will be looking for better results Week 14 vs. Minnesota.

Tight ends have fared well against Minnesota, averaging 9.3 Fantasy points per week, which is tied for the fifth-highest average. Tight ends are also averaging 51.7 receiving yards per game and have totaled nine touchdowns in 12 games against Minnesota.

What could make Clark's situation a little less attractive is if Dennis Pitta (hip) makes his season debut Sunday. Pitta would obviously steal playing time and targets from Clark, who is already a fringe No. 2 Fantasy tight end. If you are looking for a sleeper Fantasy tight end Week 14, then you might consider Heath Miller (vs. MIA), Jared Cook (@ARI) or Ladarius Green (vs. NYG).

Ravens tight ends combine for two catches in Week 13

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/29/2013) Ravens tight ends Ed Dickson and Dallas Clark had little impact in a 22-20 win over the Steelers in Week 13. Dickson brought in one pass for 16 yards, and Clark also had just one catch for 8 yards.

Neither Dickson nor Clark has caught more than three passes over the last five games, heading into Week 14 against the Vikings.

Dallas Clark has one career Thanksgiving touchdown

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/27/2013) With Dennis Pitta expected to be back in the next couple weeks, possibly as early as Week 14, Ravens tight end Dallas Clark may have one last chance to shine -- in a Thanksgiving night game against the Steelers.

Clark has played once on Thanksgivng in his career -- in 2007, with the Colts. He caught five passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. Six years later, a repeat of that game would be the second-best of Clark's season, as he has just two games with more than 50 receiving yards and three total touchdowns this year.

The Steelers have been relatively tough on tight ends this season, allowing the ninth-fewest Fantasy points per game. Over the last two, they've allowed 83 total yards. Only three tight ends have scored on the Steelers all season -- although two have come in the last four games.

There are plenty of tight end options available now that byes have passed. Clark is best left on the waiver wire in most formats.

Dallas Clark delivers modest numbers again

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/24/2013) Coming off a 31-yard effort that was his best in four games, Ravens tight end Dallas Clark had another quiet performance Week 12, catching three passes (on four targets) for 24 yards. In fact, he was upstated by fellow tight end Ed Dickson, who caught three passes (on five targets) for 55 yards. It was just the fourth time this season that Dickson outgained Clark.

The Ravens host the Steelers in Week 13.

Dallas Clark hoping to find end zone

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/19/2013) With no more than four targets in any of his last four games, Ravens tight end Dallas Clark has become a touchdown-or-bust type in Fantasy. So will he find the end zone Week 12 against the Jets, or won't he?

To some degree, it will depend on the health of wide receiver Marlon Brown, who missed last week with a knee injury. At 6-feet-4, Brown has emerged as the Ravens' primary red-zone target, catching five touchdown passes.

If Brown is out again, Clark has what most would consider a favorable matchup. The Jets rank 23rd against the pass, allowing 250.8 yards per game, and have given up the ninth-most Fantasy points per game to tight ends.

Of course, for as few targets as Clark gets, the matchup is more or less irrelevant. It's just a question of whether or not he's targeted in the end zone. Unless you play in a 20-team league or one that requires the use of two tight ends, you can avoid him in Fantasy.

Ravens tight ends struggle against Bears

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(11/17/2013) Ravens tight ends Dallas Clark and Ed Dickson struggled to get going Week 11 against the Bears.

Clark managed two catches on four targets, picking up 31 yards. He did make an excellent one-handed catch on fourth down on the team's game-tying drive. Dickson caught just one ball for 16 yards. He was targeted near the goal line early in the game, and forced a pass interference which led to a Ravens touchdown.

Both players will look for more Week 12 against the Jets.

Ravens tight ends have strong yardage matchup

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(11/14/2013) The Ravens tight ends could rack up some yards against Chicago Week 11.

The Bears haven't been great against tight ends, allowing 8.11 Fantasy points per game. The team has allowed 73.33 receiving yards per game, which is the third highest total. The Bears, however, have done a good job keeping tight ends out of the end zone. Tight ends have only scored three times against Chicago this season.

That may not bode well for Ed Dickson or Dallas Clark. Neither player has been a big part of the offense recently. Dickson has caught six balls in the past three games. Clark has been more effective, scoring three touchdowns in the past four games, but he's only caught two passes in the past two games. Even if one emerges as a strong yardage threat, it's tough to expect either to score.

Dallas Clark has touchdown in Week 10

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/10/2013) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark caught one pass for one yard -- a touchdown -- in the team's 20-17 win over the Bengals. Clark was targeted two times.

Clark now has three touchdowns in his last four games, on just nine receptions.

The Ravens travel to Chicago to face the Bears in Week 11.

Dallas Clark too erratic to start

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/6/2013) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark has put together a set of stats from which very little can be divined -- he has two games with 80 or more yards, three with fewer than 10, and two touchdowns on the season. Clark has four total receptions in his last two games, on five targets.

While Clark could be among the tight end scoring leaders any given week -- thanks to the randomness of catching a touchdown pass or having a seven reception game out of the blue -- he lacks the dependability offered by some other tight ends, as well as any sense of warning when he's about to have a big game.

Clark also has to face off against the Bengals in Week 10, a team that has allowed the fifth-fewest Fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends.

Clark can be left on the waiver wire in most formats.

Ravens receivers help out in defeat to Browns

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(11/3/2013) Several Ravens receivers made minor contrbutions to the offense Sunday in Cleveland. The most significant were Deonte Thompson, who caught three passes for 24 yards, and Tandon Doss, who added two receptions for 29 yards.

Also in the mix were tight ends Dallas Clark, who had just one reception for 14 yards, and Ed Dickson, who snagged one for 3 yards. Fullback Vonta Leach had 2 yards on one running attempt.

Dallas Clark finds end zone in back-to-back games

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(10/20/2013) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark found the end zone for a second straight game during Sunday’s contest against the Steelers in Week 7.

Flacco connected with Clark near the corner of the end zone for a short, 1-yard strike late in the fourth quarter. He was targeted only four times and finished with three grabs for 9 yards and a touchdown in a 19-16 victory.

Clark has seven catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns over his last two games. The Ravens will have a week of rest before getting back into things against the Browns in Week 9.

Dallas Clark makes one-handed catch for 51st career TD

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/13/2013) Tight end Dallas Clark had his first touchdown with Baltimore Week 6 vs. Green Bay, but it wasn't enough to help the Ravens avoid a 19-17 loss. Clark finished with four catches for 81 yards.

Clark made a nice one-handed grab for an 18-yard touchdown with 2:04 remaining to cut the deficit to two points. Unfortunately, Baltimore never got the football back. Clark's longest catch was a 45-yard reception.

He surpassed 80 yards Sunday for the first time since Week 1. He now has 51 career receiving touchdowns. The Ravens are back in action Week 7 at Pittsburgh.

Dallas Clark disappears in win

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/6/2013) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark was looking for a breakout game in Week 5 against the Dolphins, but the veteran barely saw the field in a 26-23 win.

Clark ceded the majority of the snaps at tight end to Ed Dickson, and was a complete nonfactor as a result. Clark was not targeted once in the passing game, as he was held without a catch for the first time.

Clark has 16 catches for 175 yards on the season, heading into Week 6 against the Packers.

Dallas Clark looking to take advantage of solid matchup

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/4/2013) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark has struggled to break out this season, but that could change with a solid matchup in Week 5 against the Dolphins.

Miami has been the league's worst team against opposing tight ends this season, allowing at least eight Fantasy points in each game. In fact, three of four opponents have finished with 14 or more Fantasy points from their tight ends against the Dolphins, while allowing six touchdowns through four games.

Clark is well past his prime, but we could a glimpse of that in Week 5. The Dolpins' struggles could make Clark a worthy Fantasy option this Sunday.

Dallas Clark finishes with 34 yards

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(9/29/2013) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark caught four passes for 34 yards during the Week 4 loss at Buffalo on Sunday. Clark was targeted nine times overall in the game by quarterback Joe Flacco.

There were several balls that it appeared Clark could come down with that he did not. Still, he had a decent effort against the Bills. The 34-year-old has yet to score this season. Baltimore plays at Miami Week 5.

Dallas Clark back in top form with Ravens

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(9/27/2013) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark could be on the verge of a Renaissance season. The struggles of Ed Dickson has made him the only viable target at the position for quarterback Joe Flacco and Clark has taken advantage. He has 12 catches for 141 yards in three games, which puts him on pace for his best season since his Pro Bowl effort of 2009.

Clark caught 100 passes for 1,106 yards that year for Indianapolis, but his best since has been 2012, when he snagged 47 for just 435 yards for Tampa Bay. He is on pace for 64 receptions and 740 yards this season. Clark told ESPN that the secret to his success in 2013 has been extra film study with Flacco.

Dallas Clark a last-resort option Week 4

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(9/24/2013) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark heads into Week 4 at Buffalo looking for his first touchdown of 2013. Clark has yet to score after three games as he's been held to five catches for 54 yards the last two weeks after going for 87 yards on seven grabs in the opener at Denver.

Clark saw seven targets last week from quarterback Joe Flacco and that could continue against Buffalo. That said, the Bills have been decent at limiting the production of opposing tight ends after three games this year. They have given up just 11 catches for 115 yards and one touchdown to the position thus far.

Clark last played against Buffalo back in 2010. He caught seven passes for 52 yards in that game, but has never scored against the Bills in three career games over 13 receptions for 97 yards. Clark should only be considered a last-resort Fantasy option for Week 4.

Dallas Clark brings in four passes in win

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(5:51 pm ET) Ravens tight end Dallas Clark had a decent game Sunday, in a 30-9 win over the Texans in Week 3.

Clark bounced back from his one-catch performance in Week 2, as he hauled in four passes while being targeted seven times. He finished 46 yards, including a long catch of 21 yards. Clark has 12 catches for 141 yards through three games, while being targeted 20 times.

The Ravens head to Buffalo in Week 4 to take on the Bills.
