Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (knee) among actives vs. Rams

(12/11/2014) Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (knee) is active for Thursday night's matchup with the Rams after being listed on the team's final injury report as probable to play.

Fitzgerald returned from a two-game absence in Week 14 and will remain ready to roll after a short week of preparation in Week 15. Other probables who are active Thursday include quarterback Drew Stanton (ankle, knee), tackle Jared Veldheer (ankle) and linebackers Larry Foote (foot), Matt Shaughnessy (shoulder) and Lorenzo Alexander (knee).

Both cornerback Antonio Cromartie (ankle) and defensive tackle Ed Stinson (toe) were listed as questionable to play Thursday and both are active as well.


Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald probable on final Week 15 injury list

(12/10/2014) Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (knee) has been listed as probable for Thursday's Week 15 matchup with the Rams after participating fully in practice Wednesday.

Fitzgerald caught four passes for 34 yards in Week 14 after returning from a two-game absence. He was limited in the team's first two practices of the week before putting in a full practice Wednesday.

Five other players are listed as probable after participating fully in practice Wednesday, including quarterback Drew Stanton (ankle, knee), offensive tackle Jared Veldheer (ankle) and linebackers Larry Foote (foot), Matt Shaughnessy (shoulder) and Lorenzo Alexander (knee).

Cornerback Antonio Cromartie (ankle) is listed as questionable to face the Rams after being a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Wednesday. The team has ruled safety Tyrann Mathieu (thumb) and guard Paul Fanaika (ankle) out.

(12/5/2014) Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (knee) was able to make it through a full practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.

Also listed as questionable were Jared Veldheer and Larry Foote. Lorenzo Alexander and Kenny Demens were the only players listed as probable.

The Cardinals also listed Tyrann Mathieu, Paul Fanaika, Ed Stinson and Andre Ellington as out.

Ellington has been batting a foot injury all season, but has been able to play through it. He's also dealing with a hip issue this week, but will play.

The team will also have Lorenzo Alexander, Marcus Benard, John Brown and Drew Stanton for the contest. All four players came into the contest listed as probable.

(11/28/2014) The Cardinals ruled Kenny Demens (hamstring) and Ed Stinson (toe) out for Sunday's game against Atlanta. Larry Fitzgerald, who is dealing with a MCL sprain, is the only player on Arizona's list deemed questionable. Coach Bruce Arians told reporters Fitzgerald will be a game-time call.

Meanwhile, the following players were designated as probable: Lorenzo Alexander (knee), Marcus Benard (shoulder), John Brown (teeth), Andre Ellington (hip, foot) and Drew Stanton (ankle).

The team's only questionable player, Ed Stinson, will attempt to tough it out. He's dealing with a groin injury.

(9/22/2013) Making the Cardinals' 31-7 loss Week 3 at New Orleans worse was the fact that they lost three defensive starters to injuries.

Linebacker Lorenzo Alexander was the first to go. He left late in the first quarter with a foot injury, going without a stat in the contest. Defensive back Rashad Johnson also left in the first half, having suffered a finger injury. He had three solo tackles before leaving. Linebacker Sam Acho left in the third quarter with an ankle injury. He recorded his first sack of the season earlier that afternoon.

The Cardinals visit the Buccaneers in Week 4.

(3/14/2013) The Cardinals have signed linebacker Lorenzo Alexander, formerly of the Redskins. It sounds like he'll have the chance to start. "The Cardinals have already kind of pegged me in a starting role which is very exciting for me," the 30-year-old told CBS Washington. "I'll be a linebacker that helps out on special teams instead of special teams being my bread and butter. It’s going to allow me to grow as a player."
