News: The Giants have signed tight end Michael Palmer.
Analysis: Looks like Palmer could have the chance to serve as depth behind Brandon Myers for Big Blue. Keep him off of Fantasy rosters.
News: Atlanta Michael Palmer was targeted just once as he made the best out his only target of the night -- hauling in his first touchdown of the season. Palmer caught a short 1-yard pass from Matt Ryan in the fourth quarter of Saturday's 31-18 victory over the Lions in Week 16.
Analysis: Palmer has just six catches this season and does not see the field enough as he continues to backup Tony Gonzalez. He has just three touchdowns in his career. Continue to ignore him in all formats moving forward.
News: TE Michael Palmer and RB Antone Smith signed exclusive rights contracts with Atlanta on Tuesday. Palmer had 10 receptions last season and caught one touchdown pass. Smith played exclusively on special teams.
Analysis: Neither one of these guys is expected to put up quality stats on a consistent basis. Leave both off of Fantasy rosters.
News: Little-used Falcons TE Michael Palmer scored his first touchdown of the season Week 12 against the Vikings, catching a 3-yard pass from QB Matt Ryan in the fourth quarter. He finished with two catches for 8 yards. It was his first game with multiple catches this season.
Analysis: Palmer had only one touchdown last season as well, so you clearly shouldn't expect this to become the norm for him. He should remain on waivers in all Fantasy leagues.
News: Falcons rookie TE Michael Palmer scored the first touchdown of his career Week 9 against the Buccaneers, catching a 5-yard toss from QB Matt Ryan in the third quarter. He finished with two catches for 11 yards.
Analysis: Palmer is the third tight end for the Falcons. He has been getting a little more playing time lately with backup Justin Peelle recovering from hernia surgery, but not enough to make a real Fantasy impact. Leave him on waivers.
News: Falcons TE Michael Palmer, who made the first catch of his career last week, made the second of his career Week 6 at Philadelphia. It went for 1 yard.
Analysis: With Tony Gonzalez starting at tight end, Palmer rarely gets an opportunity to contribute on offense. Leave him on waivers for Week 7 against the Bengals.
News: Falcons rookie TE Michael Palmer recorded the first reception of his career Week 5 at Cleveland, picking up 11 yards.
Analysis: Palmer is too low on the depth chart to make any real contribution in Fantasy. Leave him on waivers for Week 6 at Philadelphia.
