Raiders announce Week 11 inactives vs. Chargers

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/16/2014) The Raiders have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday's Week 11 matchup with the Chargers: tight end David Ausberry (foot), cornerback Carlos Rogers (knee), safety Jonathan Dowling (back), quarterback Matt McGloin, wide receiver Vincent Brown and guards Gabe Jackson and Tony Bergstrom.

Ausberry, Rogers and Dowling were all previously ruled out for Sunday's game, so their absence isn't a surprise. The Raiders had two players listed as questionable, but both Justin Tuck (neck) and T,J, Carrie (ankle) are active. Also active are the team's five probables, including tackles Khalif Barnes (quad) and Menelik Watson (concussion), running back Jamize Olawale (shoulder, hamstring) and cornerbacks D.J. Hayden (groin) and Chimdi Chekwa (hamstring).

Cornerback T.J. Carrie (ankle) and defensive end Justin Tuck (neck) are questionable while offensive linemen Menelik Watson (concussion) and Khalif Barnes (quad), cornerbacks D.J. Hayden (groin) and Chimdi Chekwa (hamstring) and fullback Jamize Olawale (hamstring).

(10/26/2014) All the key injured Raiders listed as questionable or probable for the Sunday game in Cleveland have been cleared.

The active questionable players are offensive lineman Khalif Barnes (quad), fullback Marcel Reece (quad), cornerback Carlos Rogers (knee) and defensive end Justin Tuck (knee). The probable in that group is offensive lineman Austin Howard (neck).

Raiders enter Week 8 at Cleveland pretty banged up

(10/24/2014) The Raiders listed a lengthy injury report for Week 8 at Cleveland. The team ruled out the following players for Sunday: tight end David Ausberry (foot), wide receiver Vincent Brown (hamstring), cornerback Keith McGill (groin), defensive end LaMarr Woodley (bicep) and safety Usama Young (knee).

Deemed questionable were offensive lineman Khalif Barnes (quadriceps), fullback Marcel Reece (quadriceps), cornerback Carlos Rogers (knee) and defensive end Justin Tuck (knee). Guard Austin Howard (neck) was the only player on the list deemed probable.

Raiders T Khalif Barnes practices Wednesday, may not start

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/22/2014) Raiders tackle Khalif Barnes (quad) returned to practice Wednesday, but he may not regain his starting role from Menelik Watson, CSNBayArea.com reports.

Watson has allowed just two pressures in two starts, but coach Tony Sparano was noncommittal earlier in the week when asked about the situation. "We’re going to have some decisions to make," Sparano said Monday. "Menelik did a great job in there again (on Sunday). Khalif has been a real staple for me at a bunch of positions, as you know. I really feel like he’s one of the leaders of that group and he hasn’t been out there, but Menelik has done a really good job. We’ll find ways to keep them all involved and to keep them all going. The good news is that Menelik is a young player right now that is getting better."

Watson ran with the first team during the portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media.

Raiders list inactives for Week 7

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(10/19/2014) The Raiders have listed QB Matt McGloin, WR Vincent Brown, CB Keith McGill, FB Marcel Reece, OL Khalif Barnes, OL Tony Bergstrom and DE Justin Tuck as inactive Week 7 against the Cardinals.

Brown and McGill had been ruled out prior to the contest, so the moves shouldn't come as a surprise. Barnes, Reece and Tuck were all considered questionable, but none of the three will be able to go.

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(10/17/2014) Defensive end Justin Tuck (knee) and fullback Marcel Reece (quad) have been designated as questionable by the Raiders for their Sunday game against Arizona.

The other questionable player is linebacker Khalif Barnes (quad).

Those three are in better shape than wideout Vincent Brown (hamstring), cornerback Keith McGill (groin) and free safety Usama Young (foot), all of whom have been ruled out.

The trio of probables is headlined by quarterback Derek Carr, who is all but certain to play despite ankle and knee issues. Defensive end Benson Mayowa (knee) and linebacker Sio Moore (ankle) are also probable.

Raider lose another left tackle for opener

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/6/2013) The Raiders are down to their fourth left tackle since the start of training camp, as rookie Menelik Watson was ruled out for Week 1 against the Colts with a knee injury. That means they will move right tackle Khalif Barnes over to the other side of the line to protect Terrelle Pryor's backside.
