by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/12/2014) With a salary cap number of $6 million for 2014, offensive lineman Levi Brown is likely to get cut by the Steelers this spring, ProFootballTalk.com reports. The team traded for him last year and he was hurt before playing for the Steelers.

Steelers place two on IR; sign two players

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/15/2013) The Steelers had to make a few transactions Tuesday, which included placing two players on season-ending injured reserve. The Steelers placed offensive tackle Levi Brown (triceps) and tight end David Johnson (wrist) on injured reserve.

To take their roster spots, the Steelers signed free agent Richard Gordon and promoted cornerback Isaiah Green from the practice squad.

(10/13/2013) Steelers tackle Levi Brown is not expected to play in Week 6 against the Jets in Week 6 Sunday, after he suffered a triceps injury during pre-game warm-ups. Brown is officially active, because the injury occurred after the team released its inactive list.

According to ESPN.com, the injury could be a serious one, though the extent is not yet known.

Report: Steelers seeking to trade for Levi Brown

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(10/2/2013) The struggling Steelers offensive line could be soon getting 325 pounds worth of help. They are negotiating with Arizona to trade for tackle Levi Brown, according to CBSSports.com.

Brown has started every game for the Cardinals since 2008, but has been criticized this year for his pass protection.

Levi Brown working on 'correctable' issues

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/11/2013) Cardinals left tackle Levi Brown, beaten for three sacks by the Rams' Robert Quinn, said he's working on his hand placement and other "correctable" technique issues. Coach Bruce Arians said Brown must improve but added that on two of the sacks a running back failed to chip-block Quinn before going out on a pass route.

Brown remains the starter, ahead of Nate Potter.

Levi Brown locked in as Cardinals' left tackle

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/28/2013) Levi Brown is going to be the Cardinals' starting left tackle as challenger Nate Potter has not "made any inroads in displacing" him, reports the team's website. Brown missed all of last season with a torn right triceps muscle.

Brown struggled against San Diego's Dwight Freeney in the third preseason game.

“Overall, pass protection has not been a problem, until the other night,” Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said. “We didn’t game-plan Dwight Freeney as much as we would have and Dwight beat Levi. It comes down to a one-on-one game. If we feel that way going into a game (that the tackle might get beat), we’ll help the guy.”

Levi Brown still rusty

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(6/19/2013) Cardinals offensive lineman Levi Brown missed last season with a torn right triceps muscle, and he apparently has some work to do in his return to action this year.

Coach Bruce Arians said on SiriusXM NFL Radio Tuesday that Brown was "very rusty" coming off injury at minicamp but his "skills are still there."

The Cardinals official team website reports that Brown is expected to open the season as the starter at left tackle.
