News: MLive.com reports Wednesday that the Lions agreed to terms with free agent DB Aaron Francisco, who spent the last two seasons with the Colts. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Francisco notched a career-high 59 tackles in 2010 to go along with a pair of interceptions.
Analysis: Francisco is a fairly effective back-end guy against both the run and the pass, and he is good for sure tackles as well. He is not much of a ball-hawk or big-play contributor, so he warrants minimal Fantasy value even in deeper IDP leagues. Since he will have to compete for playing time in Detroit, we consider Francisco a player to be ignored on Draft Day.
News: Indianapolis DB Aaron Francisco suffered a quad injury in the third quarter of Saturday's Wild Card loss to New York. Francisco got some more playing time as the rest of Indy's secondary was banged up. He finished the game with five tackles. The Jets would go on to win the game, 17-16, over the Colts.
Analysis: In 12 games for the Colts in the regular season, Francisco recorded 59 tackles and two interceptions. Even when healthy, Francisco can be ignored in all Fantasy IDP formats.
News: Colts DB Aaron Francisco (rib) has officially been ruled active for Week 11 against the Patriots. Francisco was a late addition to the injury report this week with a rib injury.
Analysis: Francisco is a solid tackler at DB, but he has been improving in the INT department. Consider him a a low-end Fantasy DB when healthy.
News: Colts DB Aaron Francisco (rib) is listed as questionable for Week 11 at New England. Francisco practiced in full all week until being scaled back to limited reps Friday.
Analysis: The Colts are already down Bob Sanders at strong safety, so they can't afford to lose Francisco. The former BYU product has made some plays lately, but Francisco is still a low-end Fantasy DB when healthy.
News: On Sunday, Colts S Aaron Francisco intercepted Carson Palmer's pass late in the game when he was looking for Terrell Owens. It was his second interception of the season. Francisco also made three solo tackles in the Week 10 victory.
Analysis: Francisco is a solid tackler at DB, but he has been improving in the INT department, and has now matched his career total this season after snagging just two picks out of the air. Still, he does not done it on a consistent enough basis to be owned in most Fantasy formats. He could be a low-end option if he continues to produce.
News: Colts S Aaron Francisco intercepted Donovan McNabb with 24 seconds remaining in the game to seal the victory for the Colts in Week 6. Francisco corralled the deep pass with one hand and managed to stay in bounds and held onto the ball. He also registered six tackles (four solo) in the game.
Analysis: Francisco was signed earlier this month because of all of the injuries the Colts were dealing with at the safety position. Bob Sanders is hurt, yet again, and Melvin Bullitt is on the IR and done for the season. Francisco will have his opportunity to contribute and if he continues to rack up tackles and sprinkles a few more interceptions in there, he could be a Fantasy sleeper moving forward.
News: S Aaron Francisco was signed to the Colts active roster on Tuesday. The team put Melvin Bulitt on IR.
Analysis: Francisco played for Indianapolis last year after beginning his NFL career with the Cardinals. He was not re-signed by the Colts after the 2009 season. He will provide depth at safety, but probably won't make a big Fantasy impact. Ignore him in IDP leagues.
News: The Panthers placed DB Aaron Francisco (hamstring) on the reserve PUP list Saturday. He will be eligible to return for Week 7 against the 49ers.
Analysis: Francisco is expected to be just a reserve DB in Carolina, so can continue to be ignored in all Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: The Indianapolis Colts won't offer cornerback Tim Jennings and safety Aaron Francisco new contracts, allowing them to become free agents. Agents for both players confirmed the decisions Thursday to The Associated Press. Jennings and Francisco on Friday will become unrestricted free agents who can sign with any team and the Colts will not be compensated for the loss. Jennings played primarily in nickel packages last season and was ninth on the team with 51 tackles. Francisco played primarily on special teams after being claimed off of waivers from Arizona in September.
Analysis: Neither player warrants Fantasy use.
News: The Colts' list of inactives for Week 15 at Jacksonville includes K Adam Vinatieri, WR Anthony Gonzalez, DB Jerraud Powers, DB Aaron Francisco, TE Tom Santi and DL Ervin Baldwin.
Analysis: Gonzalez is pretty much a lost cause this season because of a knee injury. Same goes for Vinatieri, who hasn't played since Week 5. None of the other players listed here ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers.
News: Colts DB Aaron Francisco has been ruled out of the team's Week 14 game against the Broncos due to an ankle injury.
Analysis: Francisco is not a relevant Fantasy player and can continue to be ignored in all formats.
News: The Colts listed the following players as inactive for Week 12 at Houston: DL Dwight Freeney, QB Jim Sorgi, K Adam Vinatieri, WR Anthony Gonzalez, DB Aaron Francisco, DL Keyunta Dawson.

Analysis: Neither of these players are relevant in Fantasy and can continue to be ignored in all formats.
News: Colts QB Jim Sorgi, K Adam Vinatieri, WR Anthony Gonzalez, DB Kelvin Hayden, DB Aaron Francisco and TE Tom Santi have all been listed as inactive for the team's Week 10 game against the Patriots.
Analysis: Vinatieri and Gonzalez will have significant Fantasy value when they return, but it is hard to say when that will be. The rest of these players have little to no Fantasy value.
News: Cardinals DB Aaron Francisco started in place of the injured Adrian Wilson (hamstring) during a Week 4 loss to the Jets. He totaled nine tackles (eight solo) and one tackle for loss in the game.
Analysis: As soon as Wilson is healthy, it's back to the bench for Francisco. Despite the big game, he still has little to no Fantasy value.
News: Cardinals LB Calvin Pace (nine tackles, sack), DB Aaron Francisco (eight tackles), DB Antrel Rolle (seven tackles), LB Gerald Hayes (five tackles) and DL Antonio Smith (four tackles, sack) led the way in Arizona's 30-27 overtime win over the Falcons in Week 16.
Analysis: All of these players except Francisco have some minimal Fantasy value as backups in IDP leagues, but should not be starting in Week 17 against the Rams.
News: For Arizona, DB Adrian Wilson (heel), DB Aaron Francisco (knee), WR Jerheme Urban (coach's decision), DL Chris Cooper (coach's decision), TE Tim Euhus (coach's decision) and QB Tim Hasselbeck (emergency third QB) were all named inactive for their Week 11 game at Cincinnati. For the Bengals, WR Marcus Maxwell (coach's decision), DB David Jones (coach's decision), TE Nate Lawrie (coach's decision), DL Frostee Rucker (coach's decision), LB Roy Manning (coach's decision), and QB Tim Rowe (emergency third QB) were named inactive.
Analysis: Wilson is the only player in this list with any Fantasy value and he missed practice all week, so if you owned him, you should have been prepared for him to be inactive.
News: The Cardinals' list of inactives for Week 10 against the Lions includes QB Tim Hasselbeck, DB Aaron Francisco, LB Brandon Johnson, TE Tim Euhus, DL Chris Cooper and DL Ross Kolodziej.
Analysis: These players don't contribute enough statistically to have value in Fantasy. The Cardinals visit the Bengals in Week 11.
News: Cardinals DB Aaron Francisco (knee) is out for Week 10 vs. Detroit. He did not practice all week. Francisco missed Week 7 with a sprained MCL, but was able to play after the bye in Week 9 against the Bucs.
Analysis: As a backup safety -- and an injured one at that -- Francisco has no Fantasy value at this time. He is solid in special teams, but doesn't rack up enough stats to warrant use in Fantasy IDP leagues. Keep him reserved Week 10.
News:The Sports Xchange reports Cardinals DB Aaron Francisco, a special teams standout that missed Week 7 against the Redskins, has a sprained MCL in his right knee but coaches are hopeful he can play after the bye week. The Cardinals return to action Week 9 against the Bucs.
Analysis: As a backup safety -- and an injured one at that -- Francisco has no Fantasy value at this time. He is solid in special teams, but doesn't rack up enough stats to warrant use in Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: Cardinals QB Tim Hasselbeck (3rd QB), RB Tim Castille, DB Aaron Francisco, LB Karlos Dansby, WR Sean Morey and DL Ross Kolodziej are all inactive for Week 7 at Washington.
Analysis: Dansby is the only inactive player for the Cardinals worth using in Fantasy leagues when active. He has a sprained knee that is expected to keep him out of a few weeks. He is a solid Fantasy LB when healthy. Make sure to keep him and the rest of the inactive players reserved for Week 7.
News: The Cardinals have ruled safety Aaron Francisco out for Week 7 at Washington. The special teams standout should miss three to four weeks with a sprained MCL in his right knee.
Analysis: As a backup safety -- and an injured one at that -- Francisco has no Fantasy value at this time.

Analysis: As a backup S, Francisco has no value at this time.
News: The Arizona Cardinals have signed safety Aaron Francisco to a four-year contract extension. The move, announced Saturday, will keep him under contract through the 2010 season.
Analysis: Francisco initially signed with Arizona in 2005 as an undrafted rookie free agent out of BYU. He has appeared in all 15 games this season, including two starts, with 29 tackles and two interceptions on defense. He also leads the Cardinals with 22 special teams tackles. He was named a Pro Bowl alternate as a special teams player. Francisco is not someone worth owning in any Fantasy format at this time.
News: The Cardinals held the Lions to 10 points and 281 totals yards in Week 11. DL Bertrand Berry had two sacks, DL Chike Okeafor had one and so did DL Chris Cooper. DB Aaron Francisco had an interception.
Analysis: The Cardinals could be considered a sleeper DST for Week 12 against Minnesota. Berry is the only player that should be used in IDP leagues.
News: The Cardinals signed FB Jarrod Baxter and CB Dyshod Carter. They also signed S Aaron Francisco from the practice squad. The Cards then placed G Ian Allen, LB Eric Johnson and S Adrian Mayes on injured reserve, ending their seasons, and released QB Rohan Davey. Finally, they re-signed LB Isaac Keys to the practice squad.
Analysis: Francisco will not have enough of a role to help a Fantasy team in IDP leagues.
