News: New England cut DB Vincent Fuller prior to its Week 16 matchup against Miami on Saturday. The Patriots also added DB Sterling Moore to take his spot on the active roster.
Analysis: Like many players, Fuller was a victim of New England's high roster turnover and was released just two days after being signed by the team. The veteran has played in 76 NFL games and should not be considered a worthwhile Fantasy option for the rest of the year.
News: The Patriots signed signed veteran S Vincent Fuller (6-1, 192 pounds) on Wednesday.
Analysis: Fuller, 29, is in his seventh NFL season and has played 76 games (five starts) with the Titans and Lions. He has six career interceptions. He is merely roster depth at this point and can be ignored in Fantasy IDP formats.
News: Detroit signed DB Vincent Fuller on Wednesday to help its banged-up secondary, according to NFL.com. Fuller, a fourth-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, was released by Tennessee before the season. He played six seasons with the Titans.
Analysis: Fuller will be reunited with Lions coach Jim Schwartz, who was Tennessee's defensive coordinator. He appeared in 75 games with the Titans and recorded 162 tackles and six interceptions. Fantasy owners should not consider him a worthwhile option in IDP formats.
News: Titans DB Vincent Fuller had a productive game in Week 6 against the Jaguars. Along with recording four tackles, the 28-year-old had a big play in the passing game in the 30-3 win. With Jacksonville facing a fourth-and-goal in the third quarter, Fuller ripped a pass away from WR Tiquan Underwood for his first interception of the year.
Analysis: Fuller, who posted three interceptions a year ago, is well on his way to a career year with 30 tackles through the first six games. He does not have a ton of Fantasy appeal at this point but could be a sleeper in IDP formats later on this season.
News: Titans DB Vincent Fuller recorded only his third interception Week 14 against the Rams, but he took it to the house for his second touchdown of the season. He didn't have a single tackle in the game.
Analysis: Fuller might come up with a big play now and then, but he's too inconsistent for Fantasy use. Leave him on waivers in IDP leagues.
News: The Titans defense was unable to come up with too many big plays on Sunday in a Week 13 loss at Indianapolis. David Thornton led the team with 13 tackles, making eight solo tackles and adding five assists. Vincent Fuller had eight tackles and Keith Bulluck had seven. Kevin Kaesviharn was the only Titans player to come up with a turnover, recovering a Dallas Clark fumble.
Analysis: Bulluck is the only one of these players that has any real Fantasy value and he can be activated in nearly all IDP formats. These other players can be ignored in the majority of Fantasy formats although Thorntons tackle numbers have improved of late.
News: Tennessee DB Vincent Fuller sacked Houston QB Matt Schaub on Monday night in Houston. Fuller finished with the sack and four tackles in the game.
Analysis: Fuller is not owned in Fantasy play and doesn't contribute enough to matter in IDP play. Leave him on waivers for Week 12 against Arizona.
News: Titans DB Vincent Fuller intercepted a pass in Week 10 against Buffalo and returned it for a touchdown. It was just his second interception of the season.
Analysis: Fuller is not much of an IDP option despite what the touchdown suggests. He is not a good source for tackles or interceptions and should be left on waivers.
News: DB Vincent Fuller (broken right arm) was not listed on the injury report Wednesday, and coach Jeff Fisher said he has been cleared to return.
Analysis: Fuller is not a relevant Fantasy player and can continue to be ignored in all Fantasy formats.
News: Titans DB Nick Harper, DB Vincent Fuller, DB Cortland Finnegan, WR Lavelle Hawkins, DL Jevon Kearse, TE Craig Stevens and DL Sen'Derrick Marks have all been ruled inactive for Week 6 at New England.
Analysis: The Titans defense is banged up Week 6. They are down three of their most valuable players in Finnegan, Kearse and Harper. Their absence makes it tough to start the Titans DST in Week 6. Make sure to keep all of these players reserved in Fantasy.
News: Titans DB Vincent Fuller, who broke his right arm, practiced Saturday and is questionable for Week 6 at New England. He has not been cleared yet for contact.
Analysis: Fuller has better odds of playing against the Patriots but they still aren't very good. When healthy, he is a low-end DB in IDP leagues.
News: Titans S Vincent Fuller (forearm) was back at practice Wednesday. Coach Jeff Fisher said he hopes to have Fuller back against the Jaguars following the bye week. "I don't have an exact date," Fuller said. "As quickly as possible, but it has to be enough time to where the bone's had a chance to heal and I'm cleared medically by the doctors."
Analysis: Fuller will be out for Week 6 at New England, so keep him reserved in all leagues. When healthy, he is a low-end DB in IDP leagues.
News: Titans DL Jevon Kearse (healthy scratch) and DB Cortland Finnegan were among the inactives listed by Tennessee for their Week 5 game vs. Indianapolis. The other inactives were WR Dominique Edison, CB Vincent Fuller, LB Colin Allred, WR Lavelle Hawkins, DE Jevon Kearse and DL Jason JonesAnalysis: Kearse's Fantasy value is pretty minimal at the moment, so just continue to ignore him in all IDP leagues. Finnegan is an elite DB, so just stash him. The others in this list have zero Fantasy value.
News: Tennessee DB Vincent Fuller will not play in the team's Week 5 game against the Colts due to a forearm injury.
Analysis: Fuller has settled into his role as a backup safety for the Titans. He is important to the Titans' cause, but since he doesn't fill up the stat sheet, he has minimal Fantasy appeal even when healthy. Continue ignoring him while he's injured.
News: The Titans have announced the inactives for their Week 4 game at Jacksonville: WR Dominique Edison, DB Vincent Fuller, DB Cortland Finnegan, LB Stanford Keglar, WR Lavelle Hawkins, DL Jason Jones and DL Dave Ball.
Analysis: Finnegan is the only Fantasy-viable guy in this group, but was doubtful coming in and you should have already planned for his absence. The rest of these players can continue to be ignored in all formats.
News: Tennessee DB Vincent Fuller left Week 3's game with a broken arm and could not practice on Wednesday. He has been ruled out for Week 4 at Jacksonville.
Analysis: Fuller has settled into his role as a backup safety for the Titans. He is important to the Titans' cause, but since he doesn't fill up the stat sheet, he has minimal Fantasy appeal even when healthy. Continue ignoring him while he's injured.
News: Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher said safety Vincent Fuller broke his right arm late in the first quarter of Week 3's game against the Jets.
Analysis: Fuller has settled into his role as a backup safety for the Titans. He is important to the Titans' cause, but since he doesn't fill up the stat sheet, he has minimal Fantasy appeal even when healthy. Continue ignoring him while he's injured.
News: Titans DB Vincent Fuller totaled three tackles (two solo) and one interception during a Week 1 loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Fuller has settled into his role as a backup safety for the Titans. He is important to the Titans' cause, but since he doesn't fill up the stat sheet, he has minimal Fantasy appeal despite the pick.
News: Titans DB Vincent Fuller, who had been dealing with a groin problem, rushed once for six yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Fuller has minimal Fantasy value in IDP leagues and should be ignored on Draft Day. If he is 100 percent for the start of the season and starts out playing well then add him off the waiver wire.
News: The Tennessean reports Titans DB Vincent Fuller injured his leg during Wednesday's practice. Fuller doesn't think it's serious and is hoping for the best. He suffered a groin injury in individual drills and didn't finish practice. "I just felt it tighten up on me. So rather than pushing it I decided just to slow down a little bit," he said. "I think my body should be OK, it is just a little sore. Whenever you have an injury you want to see how it feels the next morning, see what the swelling does and take it from there. I'm just going to ice it down and see what happens."
Analysis: Fuller has minimal Fantasy value in IDP leagues and should be ignored on Draft Day. If he is 100 percent for the start of the season and starts out playing well then add him off the waiver wire.
News: The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms on a contract with veteran Vincent Fuller, the team's primary nickel back for the past two seasons. Last season Fuller played in all 16 games and had a career-high 43 tackles and one forced fumble. In 2007 he returned an interception for a touchdown in consecutive games against New Orleans and Atlanta. Fuller was a fourth-round draft pick by the Titans out of Virginia Tech in 2005.
Analysis: Fuller doesn't post enough stats on a regular basis to warrant Fantasy use. Forget about him until he sees regular playing time.
News: Notable Titans defenders from Week 4 vs. Minnesota include: DT Albert Haynesworth (six total tackles, two sacks), DT Tony Brown (five total tackles, 1.5 sacks, fumble recovery), DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (two total tackles, half sack, forced fumble), LB David Thornton (six total tackles, forced fumble), DB Vincent Fuller (eight total tackles, forced fumble), CB Nick Harper (six total tackles, interception) and CB Cortland Finnegan (seven total tackles).
Analysis: Many of these players are reliable for Fantasy owners. Vanden Bosch, Thornton and Finnegan are the best, with Keith Bulluck (five total tackles, fumble recovery) also a must-start in Fantasy play. The Titans play at the Ravens in Week 5.
News: Titans DB Vincent Fuller appeared in all 16 games in 2007 and finished with 30 tackles, two interceptions, one sack and two defensive touchdowns.
Analysis: The defensive scores are nice, but Fuller is a reserve DB for the Titans and therefore has minimal Fantasy value heading into 2008.
News: Titans DB Vincent Fuller had a sack -- his first of the year -- Week 11 at Denver. It was his only tackle.
Analysis: Fuller has two touchdowns this season, which skews his Fantasy value. He only has 17 tackles and two interceptions, so just keep him on waivers for Week 12 at Cincinnati.
News: Titans DB Vincent Fuller had a tackle Week 5 against the Falcons and returned a third-quarter Joey Harrington interception 76 yards for a score.
Analysis: Last time Fuller played (Week 3 at the Saints), he also returned an interception for a touchdown. If he keeps making big plays, he obviously deserves consideration in Fantasy IDP formats. Consider picking him up if you need help at DB. The Titans visit the Buccaneers in Week 6.
News: The Tennessee Titans DST allowed just 14 points in Week 3 at New Orleans while giving up only 252 total net yards. They also posted one sack, four interceptions and one fumble recovery. LB Keith Bulluck, who calls himself Mr. Monday Night, had three of the interceptions. The other was to Vincent Fuller, who took his back late in the fourth quarter for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Analysis: Despite the touchdown, Fuller is not a recommended Fantasy option in most IDP leagues. The Titans are on a bye in Week 4 before returning to face the awful Falcons in Week 5.
News: With DB Reynaldo Hill out with an ankle injury, the Titans shifted rookie Cortland Finnegan from nickel back to right cornerback. He was credited with a game-high 11 tackles and two passes defensed in his first NFL start. Safety Vincent Fuller, who played as the fifth defensive back in Finnegan's place, was credited with eight tackles and a forced fumble.
Analysis: Consider Finnegan a good No. 3 DB for Week 12 against the Giants if he starts and reserve Hill but keep an eye on the situation. Fuller has no Fantasy value at this time.
