Injuries dominate Redskins' inactive list

(9/14/2014) The Redskins announced their seven inactive players for Week 2 against the Jaguars, and included four players dealing with injuries.

Linebacker Akeem Jordan (knee), defensive lineman Kedric Golston (groin), defensive back Tracy Porter (hamstring) and tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) were all sidelined as a result of their injuries. They were joined on the inactive list by quarterback Colt McCoy, wide receiver Santana Moss and offensive lineman Spencer Long


Two in, one out on Washington defense

(9/14/2014) Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo is active for Week 2 against the Jaguars, despite being considered questionable for the game with an ankle injury. Orakpo also played through the injury last week, finishing with four tackles.

Defensive lineman Kedric Golston (groin) and safety Duke Ihenacho (ankle) also found themselves on the injury report, but only one was able to play. Golston is inactive for Sunday's game, while Ihenacho is in uniform and expected to make his team debut.

(9/11/2014) Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Thursday tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) and defensive lineman Kedric Golston (groin) are considered doubtful for Week 2 against the Jaguars. He also said cornerback Tracy Porter will not play due to a hamstring injury.

(11/21/2013) Washington defensive end Kedric Golston says there's no schism in the team's locker room, according to The Washington Post.

"Just because you don’t agree on something doesn’t mean that you’re apart," Golston said. He added that the team still has confidence in head coach Mike Shanahan. The team has been under some criticism after quarterback Robert Griffin III had some strange post-game comments following the team's loss to the Eagles. Both Griffin and Shanahan have downplayed the comments.


Stephen Bowen, Kedric Golston active for Redskins

They are: wide receiver Leonard Hankerson (groin); kicker Kai Forbath (groin); defensive back  Brandon Merriweather (concussion); and defensive linemen Barry Cofield (hand), Kedric Golston (abdomen) and Stephen Bowen (knee).
