Rams to have most of their probables Week 15

(12/11/2014) The Rams will have nearly all of their probable players Week 15 against the Cardinals.

Kenny Britt and James Laurinaitis are two of the bigger names on the list. Britt was listed on the injury report, though his issue was not injury related. Laurinaitis is dealing with an ankle injury.

The team will also have Cory Harkey, Will Herring, Rodger Saffold and Scott Wells. All four players came into the contest listed as probable. 


Chris Long questionable on final Rams' Week 15 injury report

(12/10/2014) Rams defensive end Chris Long was listed as questionable to play Thursday on the team's final injury report for Week 15's matchup with the Cardinals.

"He was OK," Rams coach Jeff Fisher told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch after practice. "We'll see how he is in the warmups tomorrow, but we're very optimistic about it."

The rest of the Rams' injured players were listed as probable after participating fully in practice Wednesday. That list includes center Scott Wells (elbow), guard Rodger Saffold (shoulder), linebacker James Laurinaitis (ankle), defensive tackle Alex Carrington (thigh), linebacker Will Herring (foot), tight end Cory Harkey (knee) and receiver Kenny Britt (not injury related).


Rams clear probables for Sunday game

(12/7/2014) The Rams placed only probables on their Week 14 injury report - and all have been given the thumbs-up for their game at Washington aside from cornerback Marcus Roberson (ankle), who was a full-go in every practice this week and should be considered a healthy scratch.

The others include wide receiver Tavon Austin (back), linebackers James Laurinaitis (ankle) and Will Herring (foot), defensive end Chris Long (ankle) and tackle Rodger Saffold (shoulder).

(12/5/2014) Rams wide receiver Tavon Austin was a late addition to the Rams’ Week 14 injury report. Austin practiced in full Wednesday and Thursday, but was a limited participant Friday with a back injury.

Along with Austin, the Rams also listed the following players as probable for Sunday’s game against the Redskins: William Hayes, James Laurinaitis, Chris Long, Rodger Saffold, Scott Wells, Will Herring, Marcus Roberson and Davin Joseph.

(11/28/2014) The Rams unveiled a lengthy injury report which included 14 players on the list for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Rookie cornerback Marcus Roberson (ankle) was unable to practice all week and was the only player on the report ruled as doubtful. Defensive end Eugene Sims missed practice all week due to a death in the family, but is expected to play, per the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He was deemed as probable. Defensive back Lamarcus Joyner (groin) and defensive tackle Alex Carrington (thigh) are questionable.

Meanwhile, the following players were designated as probable: Center Scott Wells (rest), defensive end Robert Quinn (rest) and guard Davin Joseph (rest), linebacker James Laurinaitis (ankle), wide receiver Kenny Britt (back), cornerback E.J. (11/21/2014) Six Rams have been deemed questionable or probable for the Sunday game against the host Chargers.

The questionables are tight ends Jared Cook (back) and Cory Harkey (quad) and long snapper Jake McQuaide (back).

The probables are linebackers James Laurinaitis (foot), Daren Bates (groin) and Will Herring (foot).

(11/14/2014) The Rams listed eight players on its final injury report for Week 11 against the Broncos. Half of the players are in danger of missing the game Sunday.

Marcus Roberson was the only player on the list ruled out. Daren Bates (groin), Lamarcus Joyner (groin), Damian Williams (hamstring) were all listed as doubtful. Alex Carrington (quad) was deemed doubtful.

Meanwhile, James Laurinaitis (foot), William Hayes (fibula), and Will Herring (foot) were all listed as probable.

(3/13/2014) The Cowboys agreed to terms on a contract with free-agent linebacker Will Herring Thursday, though terms of the deal are not yet known. Herring appeared in all 16 of the Saints' games last season, recording 13 tackles and one interception.  

Saints DST feasts on four turnovers

(10/1/2013) The Saints DST has forced 10 turnovers after getting four more in Monday's blowout of Miami. Corners Jabari Greer and Chris Carr and linebacker Will Herring intercepted Ryan Tannehill, and linebacker Curtis Lofton stripped Tannehill with safety Rafael Bush recovering.

Playing with a lead throughout, New Orleans sacked Tannehill four times. Defensive end Cameron Jordan had a sack and three quarterback hits, and linebacker Junior Galette added a sack and two quarterback hits.

The aggressive Saints DST visits turnover-prone quarterback Jay Cutler and the Bears in Week 5.


Herring lands on IR for Saints


(1/3/2012) The Saints placed LB Will Herring on injured reserve on Tuesday. Herring will not be available for the playoffs now after suffering an undisclosed injury in the Week 17 win over the Panthers.

(7/28/2011) The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported Wednesday that the Saints have agreed to a three-year contract with free agent LB Will Herring, who last played for the Seahwaks. He had 36 tackles in 15 games last season to go along with one sack and one interception with Seattle.

(1/3/2011) Seattle LB Will Herring was able to register his first career interception in the Week 17 win over the Rams. He stepped in front of a Sam Bradford pass in the fourth quarter to allow the Seahawks to put the game out of reach. Herring also managed to register five tackles -- including one for a loss -- on the night.

Will Herring led the team in tackles with eight while Lawrence Jackson and Darryl Tapp were in on the lone sack of QB Aaron Rodgers. David Hawthorne, who had 10 tackles in each of his past two games, was credited with only five tackles Week 16.

LB Hill shelved for six weeks


(9/16/2009) Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill is out until at least November. Coach Jim Mora said Wednesday that further tests on Hill's groin showed more extensive damage than first believed, including a partially torn muscle. Hill may need surgery. Mora says Hill will be out at least until Seattle plays at Dallas in Week 8.
