Bengals make deal with Seahawks

News: The Bengals have acquired CB Kelly Jennings from the Seahawks in exchange for DT Clinton McDonald, according to ESPN.
Analysis: Neither of these players were or are expected to be productive for Fantasy purposes. Keep them off of Fantasy rosters.

Jennings staying in Seattle

News: The Seattle Times reported Monday that the Seahawks were able to reach an agreement to bring back cornerback Kelly Jennings. Terms of the one-year deal were not disclosed. Jennings started 14 games last season for Seattle, registering 40 tackles and an interception on the year.
Analysis: Jennings was drafted by the Seahwawks in 2006, and he has been pedestrian in the turnover department ever since. While his tackle numbers have been steady between 40-55 every year, he has just a pair of picks and one fumble forced in 44 total starts. Jennings should remain on the waiver-wire on Draft Day.

Corner picked on

News: Seattle cornerback Kelly Jennings had a season-high seven tackles in the Seahawks' 31-14 victory over Carolina in Week 13. Jennings' previous season high was five tackles set in both Week 1 and 2 of the season.
Analysis: Sure, Jennings had seven tackles but that was because Carolina quarterback Jimmy Clausen threw to his side of the field several times Sunday and he was forced to take down the receiver. With only one interception this season, leave Jennings on your waiver wire in Fantasy IDP leagues.

Jennings picks off first pass

News: Seahawks DB Kelly Jennings collected his first interception of the year in Week 10 against the Cardinals. He picked off QB Derek Anderson for just the second interception of his career.
Analysis: Jennings has always been a low-end option in Fantasy IDP formats and this interception does not change anything. Continue to leave the former Hurricane on waivers.

Jennings likely out Week 7

News: Seahawks CB Kelly Jennings (hamstring) is listed as questionable for the Week 7 game against the Cardinals, but he did not practice all week. Coach Pete Carroll said Jennings is "questionable at best," a sign that rookie Walter Thurmond will likely make his first start Sunday. Jennings left the Week 6 game at Chicago with the injury.
Analysis: Jennings isn't much of a Fantasy option when healthy so continue to ignore him.

Jennings back at practice

News: Seahawks CB Kelly Jennings was back on the practice field Tuesday after leaving Saturday's game against the Packers due to a hyper-extended elbow. He practiced without any limitations.
Analysis: Jennings has just one career interception in four seasons. As a corner who doesn't pick off many passes, he's of little use to Fantasy owners in IDP leagues. He can be ignored on Draft Day.

Seahawks defenders do fine job

News: Seahawks LB Lofa Tatupu (eight tackles), DB Kelly Jennings (seven tackles), DB Josh Wilson (six tackles, forced fumble) and DB Brian Russell (six tackled) did fine jobs in a Week 14 loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: Tatupu and Russell are both worthy of starting spots in Fantasy IDP leagues, but Jennings and Wilson should be ignored heading into Week 15 at St. Louis.

Jennings deals with injury, demotion

News: The Seahawks had one positive injury item Wednesday, but even that came with a caveat: Cornerback Kelly Jennings was back following a concussion sustained against the Giants in Week 5. Jennings has lost his starting job to Josh Wilson, but his return is the first of the personnel changes promised earlier this week by Holmgren for his struggling defense.
Analysis: Jennings, the team's first-round draft choice in 2006, has started 18 of Seattle's last 20 games. Defensive backs coach Jim Mora and safety Deon Grant, the defense's co-captain, said Jennings has been less effective because he is banged up. Before the concussion, he had a broken rib. Jennings was downcast after practice. "I feel like I have a job to do on the defense, and right now I don't feel like I'm getting it done," he said. "It's a coaches' decision. And if I was a coach, I would do it the same way." Jennings remains a less than desireable Fantasy option.

Jennings suffers concussion in Week 5

News: Seahawks DB Kelly Jennings left Week 5 at the Giants with a concussion he suffered in the first half. Jennings left after the Seahawks' second series on defense.
Analysis: Jennings is starting as a rookie with the Seahawks, but isn't worth starting in IDP leagues until he starts to pull down some INTs. He may be forced to miss at least one game with this type of injury.

Jennings activated for Week 5

News: Seahawks DB Kelly Jennings (ribs) was activated for Week 5 at the N.Y. Giants. He had been listed as probable on the injury report.
Analysis: Jennings is starting as a rookie with the Seahawks and has nine tackles in his first two NFL games. He isn't worth starting in IDP leagues until he starts to pull down some INTs, but he's worth keeping an eye on.

K. Jennings has broken rib

News: The Sports Xchange reports that Seahawks CB Kelly Jennings broke his rib against San Francisco. He will have limited participation in practice this week but is expected to play against St. Louis in Week 3.
Analysis: Jennings is starting as a rookie with the Seahawks and has nine tackles in his first two NFL games. He isn't worth starting in IDP leagues until he starts to pull down some INTs, but he's worth keeping an eye on.

Seattle signs top pick Jennings

News: The Seattle Seahawks and first-round draft choice Kelly Jennings agreed on a multiyear contract two days after he was due to report to training camp. Jennings, the 31st overall pick in April's draft, has a starting job to lose over the next six weeks, before the regular season begins. Head coach Mike Holmgren seemed frustrated that Jennings was not in camp on time. He did not say whether Jennings had been fined.
Analysis: Jennings was a talented, crafty cornerback at the University of Miami, and could form a troublesome twosome with Marcus Trufant. He is prepared for such a leap and might not be a bad pick as a No. 3 or 4 CB in Fantasy IDP leagues. He should be an early- to middle-round choice in rookie-only dynasty league drafts.
