Panthers list seven probables for Week 15

(12/12/2014) The Panthers have ruled out quarterback Cam Newton (back) and guard Amini Silatolu (knee) for Week 14 against Tampa Bay. Running back DeAngelo Williams (hand) was the only player on Carolina's final injury report ruled doubtful for the game.

The following players were deemed as probable: Wide receiver Philly Brown (shoulder), cornerback Carrington Byndom (illness), center Ryan Kalil (rest), linebacker A.J. Klein (knee), tight end Greg Olsen (knee), guard Chris Scott (foot), guard Amini Silatolu (knee) and running back Jonathan Stewart (hip).

(12/10/2014) Panthers were without running back DeAngelo Williams (hand) and guards Amini Silatolu (knee) and Chris Scott (unknown). Tackle Ryan Kalil was also given the day off. 

Williams, who had a brace on his hand last week to deal with a broken bone, still has not practiced. He has 219 yards on 68 carries in 2014.

(12/5/2014) The Panthers released their final injury report Friday and listed tight end Greg Olsen (knee) as questionable for Sunday’s game at New Orleans.

The following players are listed as probable: DT Star Lotulelei, DE Mario Addison, C Ryan Kalil and DE Kony Ealy. Amini Silatolu (knee) is listed as out.


Panthers' Kalil, Ealy miss practice Thursday with illnesses

(12/4/2014) Panthers center Ryan Kalil and defensive end Kony Ealy missed Thursday's practice with an illness.

Kalil has yet to miss a game this season and Ealy was only inactive for Week 1 against the Bucs. 

The Panthers take on the Saints in Week 14. 


Panthers redo Ryan Kalil's contract

(2/25/2014) The Panthers restructured center Ryan Kalil's contract, reducing his 2014 base salary from $4.75 million to $855,000 and converting the remainder to a signing bonus, reports the Charlotte Observer. Kalil is one of three Panthers who had his deal redone, enabling Carolina to create $7.25 million in cap room.

Kalil's 2014 cap number fell from $10.4 million to $7.3 million.

(12/27/2013) The NFL announced Friday the rosters for the 2014 Pro Bowl, which will be held on Jan. 26 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. The league will hold a draft on Jan. 22 where Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders will select their respective squads for the annual all-star game.
