Jets coach Ryan: Nick Mangold has 'bad' ankle sprain

(5:07 pm ET) Jets coach Rex Ryan told reporters Monday that center Nick Mangold is dealing with a "bad sprain" on his ankle, according to the team's official website. Mangold was carted off Week 16 after rolled up by Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork. Ryan said Mangold will play Sunday against Miami if he can. If he is unable to play Dalton Freeman will likely get the start.

X-rays come back negative for Jets C Nick Mangold

(12/21/2014) Jets center Nick Mangold underwent X-rays on his injured ankle, which came back negative, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Mangold is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of his injury.

The Jets will finish the season against Miami.

(12/21/2014) The Jets announced at halftime that center Nick Mangold (ankle) will not return to Sunday's game against New England, per the team's official website.

Mangold went down after being rolled up by Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork. He was unable to put any weight on his leg, and was taken back to the locker room on a cart for further testing. Dalton Freeman will take over for him the rest of the way.

Jets list Muhammad Wilkerson as questionable Sunday

(12/19/2014) The Jets listed defensive tackle Muhammad Wilkerson as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Patriots.

Wilkerson has missed the last three games with a toe injury and was a limited participant all week at practice.

Also listed as questionable on the Jets’ final injury report of Week 16 were wideout Saalim Hakim (quad) and safety Jaiquawn Jarrett (shoulder). Safety Rontez Miles (shin) is out.

The Jets listed the following players as probable: Antonio Allen, Willie Colon, Nick Folk, Percy Harvin, Chris Johnson, Nick Mangold and Calvin Pryor.

The Jets are 10 1/2-point underdogs to the Patriots.

The team is otherwise healthy. All others on their injury report are probable, including quarterback Michael Vick (wrist) and running backs Chris Ivory (shoulder), Chris Johnson (knee), Bilal Powell (illness) and John Conner (groin). The other offensive probables are linemen Nick Mangold (shoulder), Oday Aboushi (shoulder) and Willie Colon (knee) and wideout Eric Decker (toe).
