News: The Chiefs traded DB Jarrad Page to New England on Saturday in exchange for an undisclosed draft selection.
Analysis: Page refused to participate in training camp with Kansas City as a restricted free agent and will have a lot to catch up on in New England. Continue to ignore him in Fantasy play.
News: Chiefs FS Jarrad Page signed his one-year, $1.7 million tender offer on Friday as a precursor to a trade. Page has missed the entire offseason, training camp and preseason as a restricted free agent. He has consistently asked to be traded.
Analysis: With the Chiefs acquiring rookie Eric Berry in the draft, the team can move on without Page. He might start if traded, but there is no reason to put Page on your Fantasy team right now.
News: The situation between the Chiefs and safety Jarrad Page continues to be the quietest contract battle in the league. A restricted free agent, Page was tendered a contract by the Chiefs in February, and from then until now, neither Page nor Chiefs GM Scott Pioli has commented publicly on the situation. Page's unwillingness to sign the tender offer made to him by the Chiefs is a pretty good indication of his desire to escape Kansas City. His absence from the team's offseason activities has left him out of the loop with the new defense, and there are a pair of draft choices at safety to help push him off the field. Page is active on Twitter and posted earlier this week: "I know I haven't responded to all your questions but I appreciate the love and concern from the fans and to those who talk bad on me -- CRICKETS."
Analysis: Page missed a chunk of last season following an injury suffered during practice and isn't happy with the tender offer the Chiefs made him. Whether he stays with the Chiefs or not, he's not worth relying on as anything more than a low-end reserve DB in Fantasy play.

The Chiefs signed free agent cornerback Travis Daniels to take his roster spot. He attended training camp with the Chiefs this year but was released before the season began.
Analysis: Neither of these players were or are expected to produce enough stats to warrant Fantasy use. Keep them off of rosters for now.

Analysis: Of these defenders, Hali is usable as a No. 2 Fantasy DL and Flowers as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy DB. No one else is worth the roster spot in Fantasy play. The Chiefs play vs. the Dolphins in Week 16.

Analysis: Of these players, Edwards and Allen are Fantasy must-starts, while Law, Johnson, Page and Harris are low-end options and guys useful in deeper leagues. The Chiefs play vs. Cincinnati in Week 6.

News: The Chiefs allowed 20 points and 315 yards of offense in Week 1 at Houston. Donnie Edwards and Alfonso Boone each sacked QB Matt Schaub once and Jarrad Page picked up an interception. Edwards also recovered a fumble.
Analysis: Page also had three tackles in the game. He's worth a flier in deeper IDP formats as a possible No. 3 DB.
News: The Kansas City Star reports that the Chiefs have released SS Sammy Knight, opting to have a training camp battle between Jarrad Page and Bernard Pollard for the starting gig. Knight finished second on the team last year with 83 tackles (74 solo) with two sacks, three passes defensed, a forced fumble and an interception.
Analysis: Knight's absence leaves the Chiefs young at strong safety, which could be a problem for them down the road. Without a team to call his own, Knight should be considered a reserve Fantasy DB with potential to jump into a low-end No. 2 role Fantasywise. As for Page and Pollard, whomever wins the starting job out of training camp will be worth using as a low-end No. 3 DB.
News: The Chiefs gave up just nine points, all coming on field goals, in a Week 16 win over the Raiders. The Raiders put up 307 total yards, but starting QB Andrew Walter was sacked four times (LB Kawika Mitchell, DB Sammy Knight, DB Jarrad Page and DL Jared Allen) and picked off twice (both by Page). The Chiefs also forced four fumbles and recovered three of them for turnovers.
Analysis: The Chiefs defense had a big game against a poor offensive team in Week 16. They will have a tougher challenge ahead in Week 17 against the Jaguars and should be considered a No. 2 Fantasy DST. Mitchell, Knight and Allen are all viable Fantasy options in IDP leagues for Week 17. Page just had a lucky game.
News: Jarrad Page (ribs) is not among the inactives for Week 15 at San Diego.
Analysis: Page is not a recommended Fantasy option in any IDP league for this matchup.
News: DB Benny Sapp is out 4-6 weeks with a knee injury, meaning the Chiefs may have to use safety Jarrad Page in the slot when Kansas City goes to a dime package. Lenny Walls is the Chiefs third corner, but Sapp is the only other cornerback listed on Kansas City's depth chart. Page, who has played extensively as a substitute for S Sammy Knight, spent some training camp time working in the slot.
Analysis: Keep Sapp off your roster while he rehabs, but none of these players have much Fantasy value in IDP leagues.
