Falcons get offensive contributions

by Larry Hartstein | Senior Analyst
(12/24/2013) The Falcons got several minor offensive contributions in their 34-24 loss at San Francisco. Among them, running back Jason Snelling carried once for minus-2 yards, caught three passes for 15 yards and recovered an onside kick.

Fullback Patrick DiMarco caught a 2-yard pass, while tight end Levine Toilolo was targeted once without a catch.

Three Falcons play minimal role

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/15/2013) Falcons wide receiver Darius Johnson, running back Jason Snelling and fullback Patrick DiMarco all made small contributions Week 15 against the Redskins.

Johnson, who went without a catch last week at Green Bay, caught three passes for 19 yards. Snelling had one carry for no gain and one catch for 3 yards. DiMarco had one catch for 7 yards.

Jason Snelling, Patrick DiMarco hardly contribute

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/8/2013) The Falcons got small contributions from reserve running backs Jason Snelling and Patrick DiMarco Week 14 at Green Bay. Snelling had one carry for minus-2 yards and one catch for 2. DiMarco had one catch for 7.

Snelling has had no more than two touches in any his last three games. DiMarco has only five all season.

Falcons backup pass-catchers do little Week 13

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/1/2013) Falcons backup pass-catchers Darius Johnson, Levine Toilolo, Patrick DiMarco and Jason Snelling failed to do much Week 13 against the Bills.

Johnson played the largest role, catching two passes for 16 yards. He received four targets. Toilolo caught one pass for 12 yards. DiMarco also had one catch, but picked up just 5 yards. Snelling had one catch for 3 yards. They’ll take on the Packers Week 14.

Falcons inactives Week 8

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(10/27/2013) The Falcons have made RB Jason Snelling, LB Stephen Nicholas, G Harland Gunn, OT Sam Baker, WR Roddy White, WR Brian Robiskie and DT Travian Robertson inactive Week 8 against the Cardinals.

Nicholas, Snelling and White were all ruled out prior to the game. Baker was the only other player listed on the team's injury.

Falcons RBs contributing to red-zone woes

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/3/2013) It appears the Falcons miss the presence of former running back Michael Turner in the red zone, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Falcons rank 28th in red-zone offense, converting at 38.5 percent (7 for 18).

Turner had 51 red-zone rushing touchdowns in his five years with Atlanta (2008-12), which included nine last season. The Falcons brought in Steven Jackson to replace Turner, but he played in just one full game before getting hurt on the opening drive Week 2 and he's missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. He has been replaced by Jason Snelling and Jacquizz Rodgers, but Snelling has the lone rushing touchdown in the red zone this season.

"We are anxious to get Steven back," offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter said. "At the same time, Jacquizz and Jason are doing a really nice job in his absence. Sure, we want Steven back out there as soon as we can get him back out there for the long haul. Whenever that is, the docs and trainers will let us know, but in the meantime Jacquizz and Jason are doing a nice job."

Falcons backs barely contribute

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(9/8/2013) Jason Snelling, the Falcons' third-string running back behind Steven Jackson and Jacquizz Rodgers, and Bradie Ewing, the designated fullback on an offense that rarely uses one, both made modest contributions Week 1 at New Orleans. Snelling caught two passes for 17 yards, and Ewing caught one for 15.

The two will hope to sniff the field again Week 2 against the Rams.
