News: The Jaguars promoted receivers Mike Brown and Isaiah Stanback and linebacker Brandon Marshall from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday. They also waived wide receiver Quan Cosby and fullback Will Ta'ufo'ou.
Analysis: None of these players are expected to make a significant impact any time soon, so Fantasy owners can leave them off all rosters.
News: The Giants continued trimming their roster Friday in preparation for the regular season and released the following players: linebackers Greg Jones and Jake Muasau; defensive linemen Marcus Thomas and Matt Broha; wide receivers Dan DePalma and Isaiah Stanback; and tight end Larry Donnell.
Analysis: Some of these players were able to make an early impression in training camp and survive the first round of cuts. However, neither of them were ultimately expected to make a Fantasy impact this season and should be left on waivers at this point.
News: DE Jimmy Wilkerson, who injured his knee in Friday's preseason game against the Raiders, was one of three players placed on injured reserve Saturday along with TE John Carlson and WR Isaiah Stanback.
Analysis: None of these guys were or are expected to be Fantasy relevant. Leave them off rosters.
News: Seattle WR Isaiah Stanback has yet to play a game for the Seahawks this season, but he is already earning praise from his new teammates. Hes a big guy, fellow WR Mike Williams told the Northwest News Tribune. Hes got the frame (6-foot-2, 225 pounds), burst and the straight-line speed. ... I feel he is going to have a good future here. Im talking just wideouts. I know he has always been a good special teams guy. Hes been a high-effort guy, so his value to our team is definitely high. He is a willing blocker that wants to get in there and get dirty and get some contact. I think he can definitely impact our group.
Analysis: Stanback has been beset by injuries throughout his brief NFL career and had his shot at earning a roster spot last year cut short by a torn ACL. He has played with Dallas and New England, recording just 16 games. Im definitely still learning, Stanback told the newspaper. I look forward to the day when receiver is just a reaction for me. I still think about most things, and I think most people do. But it hasnt become 100 percent natural yet. Stanback joins a crowded receiving corps this season and should not be considered a worthwhile option in upcoming Fantasy drafts.
News: The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed wide receiver Isaiah Stanback for the 2011 season.
Analysis: Stanback missed the entire 2010 season after rupturing his Achilles' tendon in training camp. The Seahawks were high on Stanback's prospects before his injury. He's not going to help you win any Fantasy leagues, so keep him off rosters.
News: The Tacoma News-Tribune reports Seattle WR Isaiah Stanback might see time at QB during training camp, which could help him make the final roster. He was a former QB in college for the Washington Huskies. "He can offer some help to do some things if we needed it at the quarterback spot to salvage a few situations," coach Pete Carroll said. Seattle already has three quarterbacks on the depth chart, but Carroll's comment suggests that he might see Stanback as a possible Wildcat QB on occasion. Stanback also has shown that he can return kicks in the league.
Analysis: Stanback will struggle to make the final roster, but anything extra he do will help. Still, he's not going to make much of an impact on your Fantasy team, so ignore him in all leagues on Draft Day.
News: The Seahawks have claimed WR, KR and former Washington Huskies QB Isaiah Stanback off waivers from the New England Patriots. The team announced the move Tuesday. The 26-year-old Seattle native played for the Huskies through the 2006 season. Stanback caught two passes in 10 games and returned 13 kickoffs in two seasons with Dallas, which drafted him in the fourth round in 2007. The Cowboys cut him after training camp last season. New England signed him to its practice squad in September. He joined the active roster in November and played in six games, with two starts. The Patriots released him on Thursday.
Analysis: Stanback will likely play a role on special teams for the Seahawks if he makes the final roster. Keep an eye on his progress during training camp, but Stanback is not worth drafting in the majority of leagues this season.
News: The Patriots announced the release of LB Bruce Davis and WR Isaiah Stanback.
Analysis: Neither of these players were expected to produce many stats in the first place. Keep them off of Fantasy rosters.
News: The Patriots have listed the following players as inactive for Week 16 vs. Jacksonville: DL Vince Wilfork, DB Darius Butler, DB Terrence Wheatley, RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis, DL Titus Adams and WR/3rd QB Isaiah Stanback.
Analysis: Apart from Wilfork, who has some minimal value in IDP leagues, none of these players have any real Fantasy value at this time. Continue to ignore them.
News: The following players have been listed as inactive by the Patriots for their Week 15 game at Buffalo: WR Isaiah Stanback, RB Fred Taylor, DT Vince Wilfork, DT Myron Pryor, DE Ty Warren and CB Terrence Wheatley.
Analysis: Most of these guys were declared out on Saturday, so you should already have benched them in Fantasy formats. The only ones with any real Fantasy value are Taylor and Wilfork.
News: Patriots TE Benjamin Watson, WR Isaiah Stanback, WR Matt Slater, RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis and QB Brian Hoyer all dressed for New England's Week 13 loss to Miami but didn't record an offensive stat.
Analysis: Watson is the only player in this group with Fantasy value, but he's horribly inconsistent and should be probably ignored along with all these other guys in Week 14 vs. Carolina.
News: New England WR Isaiah Stanback got the start in the Monday night loss at New Orleans in Week 12. He failed to stat. Also failing to stat in the game was tight end Chris Baker.
Analysis: Stanback had been more involved in the offense of late for New England but because of the possibility of games such as this one, he's just a low-end Fantasy option barely worth owning in any format. The same goes for Baker. New England is at Miami in Week 13.
News: Patriots WR Isaiah Stanback had one catch for 5 yards during a Week 11 win over the Jets. He was targeted twice. Stanback has three catches for 22 yards since being signed off the practice squad.
Analysis: Stanback has been getting involved on offense since his promotion, but let's face it -- his numbers still don't matter in Fantasy. Stanback has a long way to go before becoming a viable Fantasy option. The Patriots play the Saints in Week 12.
News: The Patriots signed WR Isaiah Stanback from their practice squad before Week 10 and gave him some playing time at Indy. Stanback caught two passes for 17 yards.
Analysis: We might see Stanback work in some unique situations with the Patriots before the season is over. Remember, he's a former quarterback who converted to receiver. Regardless, he's not worth owning in Fantasy play right now.
News: Cowboys WR Isaiah Stanback is back on the practice field Friday after missing the last week with what has been described as a "knot" in his hamstring. Stanback is in a battle six other receivers for that fifth spot.
Analysis: Stanback is unlikely to see much playing time this year other than special teams if he makes the final roster. Ignore him in all leagues on Draft Day.
News: Dallas WR Isaiah Stanback underwent arthroscopic surgery Thursday to repair a tear of the lateral meniscus in his right knee. He suffered the injury during Tuesday's OTA workout but did take to the field for Wednesday's session before the injury was revealed. The Dallas Morning News reports Stanback is expected to be ready for training camp that starts on July 28.
Analysis: Stanback will compete for the No. 4 WR spot for the Cowboys. This injury will set him back, so keep an eye on his progress, but Stanback has minimal Fantasy value when healthy so ignore him in all leagues.
News: Dallas placed WR Isaiah Stanback on injured reserve because of a shoulder problem on Friday. His season is over.
Analysis: Stanback caught two passes in eight games for the Cowboys this season. Those two grabs went for 24 yards. He was never a Fantasy-viable option during his second season in the NFL and that should likely remain the case heading into next season.
News: Dallas has listed the following individuals as being inactive for Week 16's final home game at Texas Stadium on Saturday night against the Ravens: QB Brooks Bollinger (3rd QB), DB Alan Ball, DB Courtney Brown, RB Alonzo Coleman, LB Bobby Carpenter and WR Isaiah Stanback.
Analysis: None of these players would have been worth using in Week 16 against Baltimore and they remain as such for Week 17 at Philadelphia.
News: Cowboys QB Brad Johnson, WR Isaiah Stanback and RB Alonzo Coleman all dressed but failed to record an offensive stat Week 15 against the Giants.
Analysis: None of these players are worth using in Week 16 against Baltimore.
News: The Cowboys have announced the inactives for their Week 15 game vs. the Giants. Not in uniform will be: QB Brooks Bollinger (third QB), CB Adam Jones (neck), CB Courtney Brown (coach's decision), RB Alonzo Coleman (coach's decision), LB Steve Octavien (coach's decision) and WR Isaiah Stanback (coach's decision).
Analysis: Jones is the only one in this list with any Fantasy value, but he has yet to play this season. Ignore all these guys in Week 15 vs. the Giants.
News: Cowboys QB Brad Johnson, WR Isaiah Stanback and RB Alonzo Coleman all dressed, but failed to record an offensive stat Week 14 at Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Most of these players are reserves for the Cowboys and don't contribute a lot offensively on a weekly basis. They have little to no Fantasy value heading into Week 15 against the Giants.
News: The Cowboys DST had seven sacks against Seattle on Thursday in a 34-9 win. DeMarcus Ware had three sacks before leaving with a sprained knee, Bradie James has two sacks and Tank Johnson and Greg Ellis each recorded one. Terrence Newman also had an interception, and Anthony Henry recovered a fumble. Isaiah Stanback had one kickoff return for 58 yards, and Orlando Scandrick had one kickoff return for 25 yards.
Analysis: The Cowboys DST stepped up as expected. Keep an eye on Ware's knee injury and hope he is OK, and the Cowboys have a tough matchup in Week 14 at Pittsburgh. They won't play at this level next week, so consider them a No. 2 Fantasy option.
News: In the Cowboys' 35-22 win vs. the 49ers in Week 12, RB Deon Anderson, backup QB Brad Johnson, WR Isaiah Stanback and TE Tony Curtis were all active and dressed but did not record an offensive statistic.
Analysis: None of these guys are productive enough to warrant Fantasy use. Keep them off rosters. The Cowboys host the Seahawks on Thanksgiving as part of Week 13 action.
News: With Miles Austin going down for up to a month with a knee injury, Cowboys WR Isaiah Stanback will come back from a shoulder injury of his own to play Week 12 against the 49ers. He was limited in practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Stanback might get a few more catches than usual now, but he figures to play mostly on special teams. Leave him on waivers except in the deepest of Fantasy leagues.
News: The Cowboys inactives for Week 11 at Washington include QB Brooks Bollinger, LB Bobby Carpenter, DB Quincy Butler and WR Isaiah Stanback.
Analysis: Keep these players reserved for Week 11, and even when active, they have minimal Fantasy value and should not be used in most formats.
News: Cowboys RB Felix Jones (hamstring), LB Bobby Carpenter (groin) and WR Isaiah Stanback (shoulder) have all been ruled out for Week 11 at Washington.
Analysis: Jones is the only player among the injured that has Fantasy value when healthy. He has missed a few games because of the hamstring ailment and the Cowboys still treat him as a week-to-week candidate. Jones is more of a No. 3 Fantasy RB when healthy. Carpenter and Stanback don't have a lot of Fantasy value.
News: The Cowboys listed the following players as inactive for Week 9 at the N.Y. Giants: QB Tony Romo (finger), RB Felix Jones (hamstring), DB Quincy Butler (coach's decision), DB Terence Newman and WR Isaiah Stanback.
Analysis: Aside from Romo, Jones and perhaps Newman in IDP leagues, none of the players on this list should be considered viable Fantasy option. They are not in a position to contribute regular stats as they aren't in line for regular playing time. They've got some depth chart climbing to do and should be left on the waiver wire.
News: The Cowboys DST had two sacks and recovered a fumble Sunday against the Bucs. Miles Austin had two kickoff returns for 38 yards, and Isaiah Stanback had two kickoff returns for 37 yards.
Analysis: The Cowboys DST is a low-end unit at this time and should not be used in Week 9 at the Giants. Austin and Stanback are only being used on special teams at this time.
News: Cowboys TE Tony Curtis and WR Isaiah Stanback didn't record offensive statistics Week 7 at St. Louis.
Analysis: Neither of these guys plays a starting role or figures to factor on offense anytime soon. Leave them on waivers.
News: The Cowboys listed QB Brooks Bollinger, DB Pat Watkins, DB Roy Williams, DB Terence Newman and WR Isaiah Stanback as inactive for Week 6 at Arizona. He's missing his fourth straight game with a fractured forearm.
Analysis: Williams might return Week 7 at St. Louis. However, he is no longer an every-down safety and is more of a low-end Fantasy DB when healthy. None of these other players has any real Fantasy appeal even when active.
News: Dallas listed the following players as being inactive for Week 5's game hosting the Bengals: QB Brooks Bollinger (3rd QB), WR Isaiah Stanback, S Pat Watkins, S Roy Williams, CB Terence Newman and DE Stephen Bowen.
Analysis: Newman continues to battle injury in his career and is definitely an injury-prone player. He is good for about 3-4 interceptions per season and remains just a low-end Fantasy DB when healthy. None of the other aforementioned players have any Fantasy relevance at this time.
News: Dallas has listed the following players as inactive for Week 4's game against Washington: QB Brooks Bollinger (emergency QB), DB Alan Ball, RB Deon Anderson, DB Roy Williams and WR Isaiah Stanback.
Analysis: Williams is no longer an every-down safety for the Cowboys and that will definitely hurt his Fantasy value. View him as a No. 3 Fantasy DB when healthy, which he isn't this week. The rest of these guys have minimal Fantasy value as they don't see the field very often.
News: Cowboys QB Brad Johnson, RB Tashard Choice and WR Isaiah Stanback didn't record offensive statistics Week 3 at Green Bay.
Analysis: None of these guys plays a starting role or figures to factor on offense anytime soon. Leave them all on waivers.
News: Cowboys QB Brad Johnson, RB Tashard Choice, RB Deon Anderson and WR Isaiah Stanback all dressed, but failed to record an offensive stat Week 2 against the Eagles.
Analysis: Most of these players are either backups or play a minimal role in the Cowboys offense. They don't yet rack up enough stats to matter in Fantasy. Keep them out of Fantasy lineups as Dallas heads into Week 3 against the Packers.
News: Cowboys WR Isaiah Stanback (shoulder) was able to play Week 1 against the Browns despite being listed as questionable on the injury report. With injuries to Sam Hurd and Miles Austin, Stanback appeared as the team's No. 3 wide receiver behind Terrell Owens and Patrick Crayton. Stanback was targeted three times by QB Tony Romo and he caught two of those passes for 24 yards.
Analysis: Once everyone is healthy, Stanback will likely then return to his role as the team's kick returner. Until then, he will play a fringe role in the Cowboys offense and not worth owning in most Fantasy formats. The Cowboys play the Eagles in Week 2.
News: The Dallas Morning News reports Cowboys WRs Miles Austin and Sam Hurd are out for the season opener with injuries. Isaiah Stanback was elevated to the No. 3 wideout spot because of the injuries to Austin and Hurd, but Stanback is hurt too. He will play the rest of the season with a bad left shoulder that needs surgery in the offseason.
Analysis: Keep Austin and Hurd reserved for Week 1 against the Browns, and Stanback has minimal Fantasy value at this time. Continue to monitor this situation for now and see which of the three receivers starts to make plays as the season goes on.
News: Dallas Cowboys receiver Isaiah Stanback practiced Monday, providing a potential boost for the team heading into its season opener. Stanback separated his left shoulder returning a kickoff Aug. 22 and didn't practice last week, when he still couldn't lift his arms above shoulder level. He was one of three receivers injured in the team's last three preseason games, leaving Dallas with only two healthy receivers, Terrell Owens and Patrick Crayton, after their final roster cuts over the weekend.
Analysis: Coach Wade Phillips said Stanback looked good at practice and could play Sunday at Cleveland. "Caught the ball over his head. Made a couple of real good catches. Caught a curl route. Caught the ball and ran with it. Caught a couple of deep balls. One of his way over his head one time," Phillips said. "It looks good that he'll play and he'll be able to play as a third receiver for us, as long as no hitches come the rest of the week." The fact Stanback might be in the lineup as a No. 3 WR for Dallas is of some interest to Fantasy owners, but he is still behind receiving options like Owens, Crayton, Jason Witten, Marion Barber and Felix Jones. It's safe to ignore Stanback for Fantasy purposes in Week 1.
News: Cowboys WR Isaiah Stanback (shoulder) missed Thursday's preseason finale against the Vikings. He remains questionable for Week 1 against the Browns with a separated shoulder.
Analysis: Stanback is an athletic player with lots of ability but not much opportunity to play. Don't expect him to be a significant stat producer in 2008 Fantasy play.
News: Cowboys WR Isaiah Stanback couldn't lift his arms very high on Monday because of a separated left shoulder. Stanback got hit at the end of a 32-yard kickoff return to open the second half against the Texans. He also had a 44-yard return in the game. No timetable is known for his return.
Analysis: Stanback is an athletic talent but one that doesn't see much playing time. Keep him off of Fantasy rosters until further notice.
News: Cowboys WR Isaiah Stanback returned the second-half kickoff Friday against the Texans for 32 yards, but was stripped from behind, the fumble recovered by Nick Ferguson. Stanback went to the locker room a few minutes later with a left shoulder injury.
Analysis: Stanback is an athletic player with lots of ability but not much opportunity to play. Don't expect him to be a significant stat producer in 2008 Fantasy play.
News: Rookie QB-turned-WR Isaiah Stanback was active for only two games in 2007, working only on special teams. He did not record an offensive statistic.
Analysis: Stanback is an athletic player with lots of ability but not much opportunity to play. Don't expect him to be a significant stat producer in 2008 Fantasy play.
News: Cowboys WR Terry Glenn, DB Patrick Watkins, WR Isaiah Stanback and RB Tyson Thompson have all been ruled inactive for Week 16 at Carolina.
Analysis: Glenn is trying to come back from two operations on his right knee in a six-week period after training camp opened. Glenn might make his season debut Week 17 or in the second round of the playoffs. Either way, he isn't going to help Fantasy owners at this juncture even if he does play on a limited basis. Keep him out of active lineups. The remaining inactive players also have little to no Fantas value when active.
News: The Cowboys' list of inactives for Week 15 against the Eagles includes DB Alan Ball, DB Evan Oglesby, RB Tyson Thompson and WR Isaiah Stanback.
Analysis: None of these players contributes enough statistically to matter in Fantasy even when active. Keep all reserved.
News: The Cowboys inactives for Week 14 at Detroit include DB Evan Oglesby, RB Tyson Thompson, WR Terry Glenn, WR Isaiah Stanback and DL Remi Ayodele.
Analysis: Glenn remains out and will not likely return in time to help your Fantasy team this year. All the other players have minimal Fantasy value this week and should be reserved.
News: Cowboys DB Evan Oglesby, RB Tyson Thompson, WR Terry Glenn, WR Isaiah Stanback and DL Remi Ayodele are all inactive for Week 13 vs. Green Bay.
Analysis: Glenn is on the verge of missing the entire season because of a knee injury, but the Cowboys still hold out hope he will be back in the coming weeks. Who knows how effective he will be even if he does play? Most of these players have little to no Fantasy value when active. Keep them reserved Week 13.
News: Cowboys RB Oliver Hoyte, WR Isaiah Stanback, QB Brad Johnson, TE Anthony Fasano and TE Tony Curtis didn't record statistics Week 12 against the Jets.
Analysis: None of these players produces the kind of statistics necessary to deserve consideration in Fantasy. Keep all on waivers for Week 13 against the Packers.
News: The Cowboys' list of inactives for Week 11 against the Redskins includes DB Evan Oglesby, RB Tyson Thompson, WR Terry Glenn, WR Isaiah Stanback and DT Remi Ayodele.
Analysis: Glenn is the most notable inactive player, but he has still yet to take the field this season after undergoing two arthroscopic surgeries on his right knee. The remaining inactive players have little to no Fantasy value. Keep them reserved Week 11.
News: Cowboys DB Evan Oglesby, RB Tyson Thompson, WR Terry Glenn, DL Remi Ayodele and WR Isaiah Stanback are all inactive for Week 10 at N.Y. Giants.
Analysis: Glenn is the most notable inactive player, but he has still yet to take the field this season after undergoing two arthroscopic surgeries on his right knee. His return is still unknown. The remaining inactive players have little to no Fantasy value. Keep them reserved Week 10.
News: After sitting out Wednesday and Thursday, Cowboys WR Isaiah Stanback practiced Friday, but coach Wade Phillips has ruled the rookie receiver out for Week 10 against the Giants with a shoulder injury. Stanback, however, was holding out hope Phillips might change his mind by kickoff and the coach listed him as questionable on the injury report. If Stanback does not play, then Phillips will look to Miles Austin, Tyson Thompson or Nate Jones as the kick returners. "I didn't touch the field, so I don't blame him," Stanback said. "I don't what the decision is going to be, but I did everything I was supposed to be doing."
Analysis: Stanback still has a difficult time lifting his left arm over his head, and he was not sure if would have to wear a protective harness if he plays. Stanback has been active for just one game this season and had zero receptions. He has no Fantasy value at this time. Leave him on waivers for Fantasy Week 10.
News: WR Isaiah Stanback had 78 return yards Week 9 at Philadelphia.
Analysis: Unless he starts catching passes as well, Stanback has no Fantasy value. Keep him on waivers for Week 10 at the N.Y. Giants.
News: The Cowboys inactives for Week 7 against the Vikings include DB Courtney Brown, DB Anthony Henry, RB Oliver Hoyte, WR Terry Glenn and WR Isaiah Stanback.
Analysis: Keep all of these players reserved in Week 7 against the Vikings.
News: Cowboys WR Terry Glenn, DB Courtney Brown, RB Oliver Hoyte and TE Isaiah Stanback are all inactive Week 6 vs. New England.
Analysis: Glenn is unlikely to return before the Cowboys' bye in Week 8, so wait at least a couple more games before thinking about grabbing him off the waiver wire. He could still prove a productive Fantasy WR this season, so keep an eye on his progress. The rest of the inactive players have little to no Fantasy value when active. Make sure to keep these players reserved Week 6.
News: Cowboys QB Brad Johnson, WR Miles Austin, WR Isaiah Stanback and TE Tony Curtis all didn't stat in Week 5 at the Bills.
Analysis: They didn't stat for a reason. All sit low on the depth chart, and none deserve Fantasy consideration when the Cowboys host the Patriots in Week 6.
News: The Cowboys inactives for Week 4 against St. Louis include WR Terry Glenn, WR Isaiah Stanback, RB Oliver Hoyte, DB Courtney Brown and DB Keith Davis.
Analysis: Keep all of these players reserved for Week 4 and check on their status prior to setting your lineup for Week 5 against Buffalo.
News: The Cowboys inactives for Week 2 against Miami are: WR Terry Glenn, DB Terence Newman, LB Greg Ellis, WR Isaiah Stanback and DB Courtney Brown.
Analysis: Glenn was expected to miss this game. Keep all these players reserved in all Fantasy leagues for Week 2.
News: DB Courtney Brown and WR Isaiah Stanback are among the inactive for Week 1 against the Giants.
Analysis: When they are in the active lineup, neither of the two players are worth using in most Fantasy leagues. The Cowboys head to Miami for Week 2.
News: Isaiah Stanback's conversion from college quarterback to NFL receiver finally moved into gear Saturday with the rookie making his practice-field debut with the Dallas Cowboys. Stanback is an intriguing enough athlete that the Cowboys used a fourth-round pick on him. They did so knowing he was coming off foot surgery, then had to wait longer when he developed shin splints. Ultimately, coach Wade Phillips hopes to make Stanback a versatile threat in the mold of Hines Ward and Antwaan Randle El. That'll have to be down the road, though, because of his delayed start. "We're going to start at receiver and see what he can do," Phillips said. "I think he can do a lot of things. He's a really gifted athlete. ... That's why we drafted him."
Analysis: Stanback was a receiver his first season in college, then took over at quarterback and befuddled defenses with his arm and feet. He ran track, too, and was even drafted by the Baltimore Orioles last summer even though he didn't play baseball in college. With his combination of size (6-foot-2, 208 pounds), speed and versatility, the Cowboys figured they'd find a way to use him -- maybe even lots of ways. He'll likely get a chance to return punts and to be part of some kick-coverage squads. He eventually may take some snaps at quarterback, too, either to be an emergency substitute or for some trickery. He likely won't make much of a Fantasy impact this season and can go undrafted in seasonal leagues at this time. He should only be taken with a late-round pick in rookie-only drafts.
News: Cowboys rookie WR Isaiah Stanback was placed on the Non-Football Injury list due to a foot injury that he suffered while in college. Once he passes his physical, he can join the club in training camp. If he doesn't, he can be placed on the reserve list for the first six weeks of the season (the NFI list works just like the PUP list).
Analysis: Stanback will be a project for offensive coordinator Jason Garrett to work with as a receiver and kick returner with a decent arm (he was a QB in college). He should only be taken with a late-round pick in rookie-only drafts.
News: The Cowboys' 2007 draft class includes: Purdue LB/DE Anthony Spencer, Boston College OT James Marten, Washington QB Isaiah Stanback, Northern Illinois OT Doug Free, Arizona PK Nick Folk, UConn FB Deon Anderson, Cal-Poly CB Courtney Brown and Illinois CB Alan Ball.
Analysis: Spencer has a shot to be a monster in IDP league play as he'll pick up tackles plus sacks plus other pass defense statistics. Look his way with a middle- to late-round pick in those formats. The linemen will provide some much-needed depth, while Stanback will be a project for offensive coordinator Jason Garrett to work with (he may be convinced to play receiver). Folk will have to earn the Cowboys' starting job, but if he gets it he'd be a nice bye-week PK option. The rest of the players will provide depth for Dallas' secondary.
