Six Lions probable Week 17

(12/27/2013) Lions S Louis Delmas, S John Wendling, OL Dylan Gandy, CB Chris Greenwood, CB Rashean Mathis and CB Darius Slay are probable Week 17.

Delmas has been playing through a knee injury all season. Mathis has an illness, but practiced in full all week.


Four injured Lions get the green light

(12/22/2013) The Lions have ruled Louis Delmas (knee), DeAndre Levy (foot), Darius Slay (knee) and John Wendling (ankle) active for Sunday's game against the Giants in Week 16. Slay was the biggest surprise among the injured players, as he was originally ruled doubtful for the game on Friday.

(12/20/2013) The Lions have listed S John Wendling, S Louis Delmas and P Sam Martin as probable Week 16. 

Wendling has an ankle injury and was limited in practice Friday. Delmas has been dealing with a knee injury all year, but has played through it. Martin has been limited with a groin issue.

(12/14/2013) The Lions have some injury concerns for Week 15 against the Ravens, but they should have defensive lineman Israel Idonije (knee) and defensive backs Louis Delmas (knee) and John Wendling (illness) available for Monday's game. All three are considered probable for the game, after getting through Saturday's practice. 

Lions list five as probable vs. Cardinals

(9/13/2013) The Lions have five players officially listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, based on Friday's injury report for Week 2.

Running back Reggie Bush (finger, groin), safeties John Wendling (ankle) and Louis Delmas (knee), defensive lineman Jason Jones (knee) and linebacker Ashlee Palmer (ankle) are all expected to play through their various injuries.

(8/29/2013) The Lions released their list of inactives for Thursday's preseason game against Buffalo. As expected, Ryan Broyles, Louis Delmas, Glover Quin, Ndamukong Suh, Corey Williams and John Wendling were held out. Rookie defensive lineman Ezekiel Ansah (undisclosed) and running back Montell Owens (knee) were held out due to injuries.

(9/17/2012) Lions defensive back John Wendling had a strong game in Week 2 against the 49ers, as he finished with nine tackles -- eight solo -- in a 27-19 loss. He very nearly earned a 15-yard penalty in the game, as he hit 49ers quarterback Alex Smith with a forearm to the helmet as he was sliding on a scramble. The hit left Smith with a cut on his nose, but Wendling avoided a penalty.
