by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(2/4/2014) The Redskins are not expected to re-sign free agent cornerback Josh Wilson, reports ESPN.com. Wilson started all 16 games, making 92 tackles and an interception, "but his coverage skills were just O.K.," the report said.

If Wilson, who turns 29 next month, moves on, second-year corner David Amerson likely would start.

Four Redskins defenders on Week 12 injury report

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/23/2013) The Redskins defense has four players on the injury list for Week 12 against the 49ers, and they could be missing two of them for Monday's game. Defensive lineman Stephen Bowen (knee) and defense back Jose Gumbs (ankle) are both questionable after Saturday's practice.

Two other players, defensive backs Josh Wilson (toe) and  E.J. Biggers (knee) are considered probable for the game.

(9/15/2013) Redskins defensive back Josh Wilson had a solid statistical game Sunday during the Week 2 drubbing in Green Bay. Wilson recorded a sack for the Redskins as he took down Aaron Rodgers.

Wilson finished the game with six tackles as they were all solo stops for the Redskins. He also had two hits on the quarterback on the game. Wilson has 13 tackles in two games for Washington, which plays at home against Detroit Week 3. He also forced a fumble Week 1.

Brandon Meriweather and Josh Wilson back in action

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/29/2013) Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather (knee) and Josh Wilson (PUP/shoulder) both returned to action Thursday night against the Buccaneers in preseason action.

Meriweather earned the start with the first unit and did not see much time on the field. He finished without a tackle. Wilson recorded his only tackle of the night in the second quarter.

The Redskins open the season against the Eagles on Sept. 9.

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/26/2013) Redskins strong safety Brandon Meriweather, who tore his ACL in Week 11 last season, will play Thursday in the preseason finale at Tampa Bay, with coach Mike Shanahan saying he hopes Meriweather plays one half.

Corner Josh Wilson will play 15-20 plays, according to Shanahan. Wilson returned from a pectoral injury and made his preseason debut against the Bills on Saturday.

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(7/25/2013) Redskins cornerback Josh Wilson missed a total of one training camp practice, apparently cleared for action following a tweet he posted on Thursday.

Redskins place Adam Carriker, Josh Wilson on PUP list -- but not Robert Griffin III

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(7/25/2013) The Redskins placed two players -- defensive end Adam Carriker and cornerback Josh Wilson -- on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Thursday. But they did not place quarterback Robert Griffin III on the list despite tearing multiple ligaments in his knee in January.

Griffin expects to participate in much of the team's training camp and was under center during drills on Thursday. The only area of work he doesn't think he'll participate fully in is team 11-on-11 drills, and he doesn't think he'll play any preseason games either as he finishes his rehabilitation from his knee surgery.

Carriker is still recovering from a torn quad muscle while Wilson is working his way back from a torn labrum.

(12/10/2012) Washington cornerback Josh Wilson recorded five tackles during the Week 14 overtime win over the Ravens Sunday. Wilson had just one solo tackle in the game, however. He also recorded a pass defended.
