News: Tennessee defensive end Kamerion Wimbley is active for the Week 14 game in Indianapolis Sunday. Wimbley was not expected to miss any time despite being listed as questionable on the injury report with a toe issue. Wimbley was practicing in full by the end of the practice week.
Analysis: Wimbley had to leave the Week 13 against Houston due to his injury but is able to get back in action Sunday against the Colts. He's having a decent season for the Titans and should be considered a viable option in deeper IDP formats for the game in Indianapolis.
News: Titans defensive end Kamerion Wimbley was a full participant in practice for the second consecutive day heading into Week 14 at Indianapolis. Wimbley, who is dealing with a toe injury, is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
Analysis: Wimbley was forced out of Week 12 against the Texans with the injury and may wind up being a game-time decision, depending on how his toe feels during warmups. If active, he should be considered as a viable low-end IDP option heading into Week 14.
News: Titans defensive end Kamerion Wimbley left Sunday's game against Houston in he third quarter with a left foot injury. Wimbley had one tackle when he was injured.
Analysis: Wimbley now has 23 tackles on the season, along with five sacks -- four of which have come in the last six games. Heading in the right direction, Wimbley was a viable low-end option heading into Week 14 against the Colts, but watch his status closely, as his value could take a huge hit with a foot injury.
News:Kamerion Wimbley provided a rare bright spot for the Titans on Sunday in their 51-20 loss to the Bears, recording a sack and recovering a Chicago fumble. He now has 2 1/2 fumbles in his last three games.
Analysis: Wimbley now has 20 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks on the year. He is a viable low-end option in IDP leagues as the Titans look ahead to the Dolphins in Week 10.
News: Titans defensive lineman Kamerion Wimbley was a full participant in practice throughout Week 9, and has been ruled probable for Sunday against the Bears despite dealing with a toe injury.
Analysis: Wimbley is not a great source of tackles for Fantasy owners but has been able to record 2.5 sacks through his first eight games. In fact, he has 1.5 sacks in his last two games and should be viewed as a low-end Fantasy IDP option in most formats heading into Week 9.
News: Titans defensive lineman Kamerion Wimbley posted his second sack of the season in Week 7 against the Bills. Wimbley got to Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the game, while posting six tackles in a 35-34 win.
Analysis: In the past, much of Wimbleys value in IDP formats came from his ability to rush the passer from the defensive line. He will need to do a better job of getting after the quarterback moving forward, as he has just 16 tackles through six games. He has just low-end Fantasy value in most formats right now.
News: Titans defensive linemen Kamerion Wimbley was not much of a factor in Week 6 against the Steelers. Wimbley finished with just one solo tackle in the 26-23 win and has now recorded three stops or less in four straight games.
Analysis: Wimbley has been struggling over the past few weeks as he has just two tackles over his last two contests. He only has one sack on the year as he has struggled to adjust to Tennessee's 4-3 defensive scheme. Fantasy owners should consider sitting Wimbley down in the majority of formats until he starts to pick up his production.
News: Tennessee defensive lineman Kamerion Wimbley had just one tackle during the Titans' 30-7 loss at Minnesota in Week 5. It was the third consecutive game Wimbley finished with fewer than three stops as he was also unable to move past his zero spot at Houston in Week 5.
Analysis: Wimbley signed with Tennessee after racking up 16 sacks in two seasons with Oakland, but his totals have been down early in the year. The 28-year-old, who has transitioned to the front four of the defense, has not registered a sack since the season opener -- a span of four games -- and has just nine total tackles. Fantasy owners should consider benching Wimbley in most formats in the hopes he regains his production.
News: Titans defensive lineman Kamerion Wimbley failed to record a stat Week 4 at Houston. He has eight tackles (four solo) and one sack through four games.
Analysis: Wimbley is playing as a down lineman with Tennessee, so it's not surprising to see his stats take a dip. He had better stats playing as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme, but now that he is a down lineman in a 4-3 defense, he isn't as valuable. He remains more of a low-end Fantasy start in IDP formats.
News: Titans defensive lineman Kamerion Wimbley went without a sack for the second straight game Week 3 against the Lions. He also had just two tackles, one solo.
Analysis: This is Wimbley's first season with the Titans, but in his previous stops, he was a halfway decent source of tackles, at least for a defensive lineman. So far this year, though, his contributions in that area have been minimal. If he doesn't pick up the pace with the sacks soon, he might not have much value in Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: Titans defensive lineman Kamerion Wimbley was able to sack quarterback Tom Brady on Sunday in Week 1 against the Patriots. Wimbley had four tackles, including solo, and the one sack on Brady. It was the lone sack for the Titans.
Analysis: Wimbley remains a quality defensive lineman in IDP leagues and is worth starting in Week 2 at San Diego, especially with the Chargers having issues on their offensive line.
News: Multiple sources are reporting that the Titans have signed free agent Kamerion Wimbley to a five-year deal worth $35 million. The belief is that the Titans will use Wimbley as a pass rushing defensive lineman, something they desperately needed after totaling just 28 sacks last season. In two seasons with the Raiders, Wimbley had 16 sacks (seven last season), four passes defensed and an interception.
Analysis: Wimbley's move to the defensive line helps his Fantasy value. As a DL, he'll be worth considering as a No. 2 option worth a mid-round choice.
News: The Raiders and pass rusher Kamerion Wimbley apparently cannot agree to a contract renegotiaion, likely meaning that the team will cut the veteran before the start of free agency. Wimbley said in February that he would not accept a pay cut but would be open to changing parameters of his deal to help the Raiders' salary cap. In two seasons with the Raiders, Wimbley had 16 sacks (seven last season), four passes defensed and an interception.
Analysis: Many potential suitors come to mind as Wimbley offers good pass-rush skills, which are in high demand. We're probably looking at Wimbley as a No. 3 Fantasy LB, however, because his tackle totals aren't high.
News: NFL Network is reporting that the Raiders will release pass rusher Kamerion Wimbley if he does not take a pay cut. Wimbley said in February that he would not accept a pay cut. In two seasons with the Raiders, Wimbley had 16 sacks (seven last season), four passes defensed and an interception.
Analysis: Wimbley is sure to try and break the bank this offseason, probably with a new club. Many potential suitors come to mind as Wimbley offers good pass-rush skills, which are in high demand. We're probably looking at Wimbley as a No. 3 Fantasy LB, however, because his tackle totals aren't high.
News: Raiders LB Kamerion Wimbley (hamstring) was listed active for Week 13 at the Dolphins, though he had been limited in practice on Friday.
Analysis: Wimbley's production has improved lately, so now that he is active, owners can start him for Week 13. He is a viable option in most IDP formats.
News: Raiders LB Kamerion Wimbley was limited in practice Friday with a hamstring injury and is now considered questionable for Week 13 at Miami.
Analysis: Wimbley has been on a roll lately with six sacks in his last four games. He even has an interception in that span. It would be a shame if he can't play Week 13. If active, then Wimbley could be considered a viable Fantasy option.
News: Raiders LB Kamerion Wimbley had a big game in Week 12, and was 12 yards away from making it a monster game, as Oakland defeated Chicago 25-20. Wimbley had four tackles, a sack, and an interception that he returned 73 yards and was a horse collar tackle and 12 yards away from going the distance. The sack was his seventh of the year, and the interception was the second of his career.
Analysis: Wimbley has stepped up his game over the last four games, with six sacks, and has emerged as a viable option in IDP formats. While he hasn't consistently produced like this in his career, he has looked like a different player recently, and can be considered an option in most Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: Raiders LB Kamerion Wimbley had by far his best outing of the season on Thursday against the Chargers. Wimbley sacked QB Philip Rivers four times in the game as Oakland beat San Diego, 24-17. He finished the day with seven total tackles.
Analysis: Wimbley entered Week 10 with 30 tackles and two sacks on the year. It's unlikely he'll have these kind of performances on a weekly basis, but definitely got noticed on Thursday. Fantasy owners in IDP leagues should still consider Wimbley a low-end Fantasy LB option.
News: Oakland LB Kamerion Wimbley posted a season-high six tackles and a sack during the Raiders' 38-24 loss to Denver in Week 9. Wimbley registered his first sack since third game of the season against the Jets and now has two sacks this year.
Analysis: Wimbley finished one tackle shy of the team lead as he reached 30 tackles for the season. He remains on pace to top his 58 tackles during his first season with the Raiders last year, but his sack total continues to lag. Consider him a low-end option in Fantasy IDP formats.
News: The Oakland Raiders agreed to a five-year, $48 million contract with linebacker Kamerion Wimbley on Monday. He had been set to play for the $11.3 million franchise tag tender before agreeing to the long-term deal Monday. Wimbley will be guaranteed $29 million in the deal, while the Raiders get additional room under the salary cap.
Analysis: Wimbley had 58 tackles last season to go along with nine sacks for the Raiders. He provides speed of the edge with the ability to make plays in space against the passing game as well, and he should again find himself in a starting role on the Oakland defense. Wimbley should be considered a No. 3 LB in IDP leagues heading into 2011 because doesn't register a ton of tackles, and he's worth a late-round pick.
News: Raiders LB Kamerion Wimbley will sign his franchise tag after being unable to reach a long-term agreement with the team. Agent Joe Linta confirmed a report Monday that Wimbley will sign the tag that will guarantee him $11,312,000 next season. Linta and Raiders owner Al Davis had talked about a contract since the Raiders placed the tag on Wimbley last week. "Mr. Davis and I couldn't agree on a long-term deal, but we agreed to keep talking as the labor process unfolds, and Kamerion will sign the franchise tender," Linta said. The Raiders tried to keep Wimbley for much less money by exercising a $3.5 million buyback option that would have given him about $4.1 million next season. But the NFL ruled that contract was invalid, so the Raiders used the franchise tag instead to keep a player who led the team with nine sacks last season.
Analysis: Wimbley's breakout campaign in 2010 ended with 58 tackles and nine sacks. He played well to finish, and hopefully he can carry that over to next year. Consider Wimbley a No. 3 LB in IDP leagues heading into 2011 because he's not putting up a ton of tackles, and he's worth a late-round pick.
News: The Raiders have designated LB Kamerion Wimbley as their franchise player. As a non-exclusive franchise player, Hali will be guaranteed the average of the top-five salaries of last season at his position, or 120 percent of his previous years salary. He can negotiate with other teams, but the Raiders can match a new club's offer, or receive two first-round draft choices if they decide not to match. The franchise number for his position is expected to be over $10 million.
News: Raiders LB Kamerion Wimbley closed the season on a high note Sunday in Week 17 at Kansas City. Wimbley had seven tackles, including four solo, with three sacks. He finished 2010 with 58 tackles and nine sacks.
Analysis: Wimbley played well to finish the 2010 season, which was his first with Oakland, and hopefully he can carry that over to next year. Consider Wimbley a No. 3 LB in IDP leagues heading into 2011, and he's worth a late-round pick.
News: Raiders LB Kamerion Wimbley was able to get his sack total up to 5.5 in Week 13 against the Chargers. He brought down QB Philip Rivers and finished with four tackles in the 28-13 win.
Analysis: Wimbley is now one sack away from tying his mark from a year ago but is otherwise having a down season for the Raiders. He has just 42 tackles on the year with one forced fumble. He will need to start racking up more tackles to become a viable LB in Fantasy play. Continue to view Wimbley as a low-end option in IDP formats heading into Week 14 against the Jaguars.
News: Raiders LB Kamerion Wimbley, who recorded a sack last week, added two more Week 8 against the Seahawks. He also had three solo tackles. He's up to five sacks on the season.
Analysis: Wimbley had 6 1/2 sacks last season, but at this rate, he could approach his career high of 11 sacks set in 2006. He's not a big tackler for a linebacker, but his sacks make him worth a look as a No. 2 or 3 option in Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: Raiders OLB Kamerion Wimbley (groin) is listed as questionable for the Week 8 game against the Seahawks. He was limited in practice all week.
Analysis: Wimbley, the Florida State product, has 25 tackles and three sacks on the season so the ability to make big plays is there, but he is not doing it on a consistent enough basis. Wimbley could be worth a flier in deeper Fantasy leagues.
News: Raiders head coach Tom Cable raved about OLB Kamerion Wimbley following his four-sack effort against the Bears on Saturday. He has great speed off the edge. Hes a dynamic rusher in terms of what hes doing with his hands and his pass-rushing moves. He works on it diligently.
Analysis: Wimbley had 6.5 sacks all of last season, so his performance Saturday night was an eye opener. He's been regarded as a disappointment after four seasons, but he did log 11 sacks during his rookie year in 2006, so it's possible a change of scenery and defensive scheme in Oakland could help him regain that form and fulfill his lofty potential. However, we're not convinced yet. If he continues to chase down the quarterback this preseason he'll be a safer bet, but right now we would suggest you ignore him in IDP Fantasy leagues.
News: Raiders pass rusher Kamerion Wimbley had a strong game with four sacks at the Bears in preseason play on Saturday night. "He had an exceptional night. It started right from the get-go," Oakland coach Tom Cable said. "Until he came out of the game, I thought he was a factor on third down on every series."
Analysis: Wimbley might be a boon for Fantasy owners in leagues that do not reward tackles. In standard IDP league fare where tackles count, other linebackers will be more valuable because of their tackle totals.
News: The Oakland Raiders bolstered their pass rush Sunday by acquiring former first-round pick Kamerion Wimbley from the Cleveland Browns for an undisclosed draft pick. Oakland senior executive John Herrera confirmed the deal, saying Oakland gave up a pick it had acquired in a previous deal. The Raiders had acquired a third-round pick from New England last summer in a deal for Derrick Burgess. "This gives us a guy who has been a strong presence as a pass rusher," Herrera said. "He has been very productive."
Analysis: The 6-foot-3, 255-pounder was drafted in the first round out of Florida State in 2006. He had 6 1/2 sacks and 48 tackles in 15 games last season and has 26.5 sacks in his career. Wimbley can play either end or outside linebacker. The Raiders used second-year player Trevor Scott in that role last season as an outside linebacker/third-down pass rusher. Scott had seven sacks in that role. If the Raiders list him as a defensive end, that's where he'll be eligible for Fantasy use, and that could make for a low-end sleeper option in Fantasy this season.
News: Cleveland LB Kamerion Wimbley (knee) is questionable for the team's Week 14 game against the Steelers.
Analysis: Wimbley had four sacks in his first five games but has obviously slowed down since. He also doesn't get many tackles for a linebacker. He's just a low-end option in Fantasy IDP leagues if he is able to play on Thursday.
News: Browns defensive end Kenyon Coleman did not participate in Monday's walkthrough. Coleman, who missed Sunday's game against San Diego with a knee injury, was hurt in last week's game against Cincinnati. The Browns had 10 other players, including linebacker David Bowens (knee), defensive lineman Robaire Smith (shoulder), linebacker Kamerion Wimbley (knee) and cornerback Eric Wright (hamstring), limited in practice as they began preparing for Thursday night's game against Pittsburgh.

News:Jason Trusnik, Kenyon Coleman, Corey Williams and Kamerion Wimbley all recorded a sack in the team's Week 8 game against the Bears. Trusnik also led the team in tackles with eight.
Analysis: Of these players, Wimbley is the only one with any Fantasy value and he is just a low-end option in IDP formats. These other three players can continue to be ignored in all formats.
News: Cleveland DL Shaun Rogers (illnes, foot) and LB Kamerion Wimbley (illness) returned to practice on Thursday and Friday as the team prepares for its Week 7 game against the Packers. They have been listed as probable.
Analysis: Rogers is the Browns' top defensive lineman but has not put up very impressive stats so far this season with 19 tackles and one sack. Think of Rogers as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy option at best for Week 7, but expect him to be active. Wimbley is not a relevant Fantasy player and can continue to be ignored.
News: The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that DL Shaun Rogers (illnes, foot) and LB Kamerion Wimbley (illness) returned to practice on Thursday as the team prepares for its Week 7 game against the Packers. They were the only two players that came back to practice on Thursday, with 10 other players with the flu asked to remain home.
News: Cleveland LB Kamerion Wimbley (shoulder) has been listed as probable for the team's Week 6 game at Pittsburgh. Wimbley was able to practice in full on Friday.
Analysis: Wimbley is the type of player that often comes up with big plays but does not record enough tackles on a consistent basis to be worth using in most IDP Fantasy formats. Get Wimbley active in deeper IDP formats Week 6 but little else.
News: Notable Browns defenders from Week 5 at Buffalo include: LB D'Qwell Jackson (13 total tackles), LB Kamerion Wimbley (11 total tackles, sack), DB Eric Wright (four total tackles, interception) and DE Kenyon Coleman (two total tackles, sack).
Analysis: Of these defenders, Jackson is a must-start in IDP play because of his penchant for total tackles. Wimbley is worth a look off waivers as he has a sack in all but one game this season -- the Browns' coaching staff is doing good things with him. Wright and Coleman aren't productive enough to warrant Fantasy use. The Browns play at the Steelers in Week 6.
News: Cleveland LB Kamerion Wimbley (shoulder) has been listed as probable for the team's Week 5 game at Buffalo. Wimbley was able to practice in full on Friday.
Analysis: Wimbley is the type of player that often comes up with big plays but does not record enough tackles on a consistent basis to be worth using in most IDP Fantasy formats. Get Wimbley active in deeper IDP formats but little else.

News: Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley recorded his third sack of the season Week 12 against the Texans. He now has a sack or an interception in three sacks.
Analysis: Wimbley doesn't get enough tackles to make a significant Fantasy impact. Think of him as a low-end Fantasy linebacker.
News: Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley had the first interception of his career Week 11 at Buffalo. He finished with five tackles, including four solo.
Analysis: Wimbley doesn't get enough tackles to make a significant Fantasy impact. Think of him as a low-end linebacker.
News: One possible switch the Browns could make on defense would be moving outside linebacker Kamerion Wimbley inside or off the field entirely. Since setting a rookie club record with 11 sacks in 2006, the 6-foot-3, 255-pound Wimbley has been unable to mount a consistent pass rush and too often finds himself out of position to make tackles.
Analysis: Wimbley had a sack in Week 10, but he really has fallen off of the Fantasy radar. Keep him off of rosters.
News: Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley recorded his second sack of the season Week 10 against the Broncos. He also had six tackles, including five solo.
Analysis: Wimbley had 11 sacks two short seasons ago, but he just doesn't play that role in the Browns' current scheme. Treat him as a low-end Fantasy option.
News: Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley, who was limited in practice all week with a groin injury, started Sunday at the Bengals and had three tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.

News: Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley, who couldn't have a full practice Thursday because of a groin injury, again couldn't practice in full Friday. The team lists him as questionable for Week 4 at Cincinnati.
Analysis: Wimbley is a hybrid LB/DL in Cleveland's 3-4 scheme. He doesn't get a lot of tackles but is good for about 5-10 sacks per year. He is off to a slow start in 2008, so consider him nothing more than a low-end Fantasy LB.

News:The Sports Xchange notes that Kamerion Wimbley has gone three games without a sack. Wimbley is a hybrid LB/DL in Cleveland's 3-4 scheme.
Analysis: Wimbley was drafted to be a pass rusher. There is time left to have a good season, but the Browns needed more from him in these big games. Consider him a low-end Fantasy LB in IDP play.
News: Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley (groin) is listed as probable for Week 2 vs. Pittsburgh. Wimbley went through limited practice reps Thursday and Friday. He had four tackles in the opener against Dallas.
Analysis: Wimbley is a hybrid LB/DL in Cleveland's 3-4 scheme. He doesn't get a lot of tackles, but is good for about 5-10 sacks. Consider him a low-end Fantasy LB heading into Week 2. He is expected to play.
News: Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley took a step back in 2007 after a breakout rookie year. In 2006, Wimbley had 11 sacks, but he dropped off to four in 2007. He also added 50 tackles (38 solo) and three forced fumbles.
Analysis: People have figured out Wimbley, so expect him to adjust in 2008 as well. He should be viewed as a No. 3 option in 2008 and could see his value rise with improved play.

News: LB Kamerion Wimbley, DL Shaun Smith, DB Brodney Pool and DB Sean Jones each had four tackles in Cleveland's 41-31 win over the Dolphins in Week 6.
Analysis: Jones is a solid starting DB in all IDP Fantasy leagues, even though four tackles is well below his weekly average of 6.4. Wimbley is worth a look as a reserve LB, while Pool and Smith have no Fantasy value at this time.
News: Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley was the brightest part of another bad season in Cleveland last year, delivering a Browns' rookie record of 11 sacks as a rookie first-round pick. Now, the swift OLB with the sunny disposition is intent on being a brighter part of a better year. He's not backing off the goal he set for himself as a rookie, a sack a game. In his daydreams, he thinks about 20.
Analysis: While 20 or even 16 would be a stretch, it's not hard to envision Wimbley as a solid No. 2 LB in IDP leagues with a lot of upside. Draft him relatively early and reap the benefits.
News: Cleveland LB Kamerion Wimbley is unlike any top draft pick the Browns have selected over the last eight years. From showing up at training camp on time to staying healthy and humble, Wimbley has done everything right in his rookie year, providing Cleveland a rare bright spot in an otherwise dismal season. He's produced on the field as well. His 10 sacks lead the Browns, are a franchise rookie record and the most since Jamir Miller had 13 in 2001. However, the soft-spoken Kansas native has gotten far less attention than blustery teammates Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow, who are both former first-round picks as well.
Analysis: Consider Wimbley a good keeper option in IDP leagues and look for him to be a solid LB in 2007 for the Browns.
News: Notable Browns defenders from Week 16 include: CB Daven Holly (one assist, one interception-return for a touchdown), LB Leon Williams (14 total tackles, sack), LB Chaun Thompson (11 total tackles), FS Sean Jones (13 total tackles) and DE Kamerion Wimbley (eight total tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble).
Analysis: Of these players, only Jones and Wimbley are legit must-starts at Houston in Week 17.
News: The Browns were victorious in Week 13 against the Chiefs, but not before giving up 28 points and 417 yards. DB Davon Holly had an interception, while LB Kamerion Wimbley and DL Simon Fraser had sacks.
Analysis: The Browns are still a poor defense and the Browns DST is not a recommended Fantasy option for Week 14 at Pittsburgh. Wimbley is a solid Fantasy option in IDP leagues. Holly could be used as a low-end Fantasy DB.
News: The Browns DST gave up 30 points against the Bengals with three sacks and an interception. LB D'Qwell Jackson had 14 tackles. DB Sean Jones ahd 11 tackles. DB Brian Russell had three tackles and an interception. LB Willie McGinest had two tackles and two sacks. LB Kamerion Wimbley had four tackles and a sack. LB Andra Davis had 11 tackles.

Analysis: The Browns defense had a strong week against the Falcons, but the Browns DST is nowhere near being considered a recommended Fantasy option. The Browns play the Steelers in Week 10. Wimbley, Jones and Davis are all solid IDP options.
News: According to The Columbus Dispatch, Browns rookie LB Kamerion Wimbley has become an integral part of the Browns defense less than a month into his pro career. Wimbley leads the Browns with three sacks. He had two sacks last week in the win over Oakland. Wimbley is on pace for 12 sacks. Wimbley started in his second pro game when veteran Willie McGinest could not. Because he played so well, Browns head coach Romeo Crennel benched veteran Matt Stewart so he could keep Wimbley in the lineup. "Wimbley was here from the start," Crennel said. "He had more opportunity to get indoctrinated, and then when you put him out there, he starts making plays. He’s not screwing up more than he’s making good plays. I think that’s when you develop trust."
Analysis: The rookie has been a solid option in all IDP leagues, especially formats which heavily reward sacks. He also makes for a great Fantasy keeper.
News: Kamerion Wimbley had three solo tackles, including two sacks, in Week 4 at Oakland.
Analysis: The rookie has been a solid option in all IDP leagues, especially formats which heavily reward sacks.
News: The Cleveland Browns reached an agreement in principle with first-round pick Kamerion Wimbley on a six-year, $23.7 million deal Saturday, his agent said.
Analysis: The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Wimbley, a speedy defensive end at Florida State, was selected to help improve Cleveland's weak outside pass rush. He will switch to outside linebacker in Cleveland's 3-4 scheme and could contribute immediately on a team that had a league-low 23 sacks last season.
