by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(5:06 pm ET) The Raiders listed a lengthy injury report for Week 8 at Cleveland. The team ruled out the following players for Sunday: tight end David Ausberry (foot), wide receiver Vincent Brown (hamstring), cornerback Keith McGill (groin), defensive end LaMarr Woodley (bicep) and safety Usama Young (knee).

Deemed questionable were offensive lineman Khalif Barnes (quadriceps), fullback Marcel Reece (quadriceps), cornerback Carlos Rogers (knee) and defensive end Justin Tuck (knee). Guard Austin Howard (neck) was the only player on the list deemed probable.

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/22/2014) Raiders linebacker LaMarr Woodley suffered a torn bicep in Sunday's game, NFL.com reports.

The injury is expected to cost Woodley the remainder of the season, according to the report. Head coach Tony Sparano said Wednesday that the injury "could be serious," and a tear is a worst-case scenario for the linebacker.

(10/22/2014) Raiders linebacker LaMarr Woodley missed practice Wednesday with a bicep injury, and head coach Tony Sparano said it "could be serious," CSN Bay Area reports.

The injury is a new one for Woodley, who has yet to record a sack in five games. He played less than 50 percent of the defense's snaps for the first time this season in Week 7.

Raiders add veteran LaMarr Woodley

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/13/2014) The Raiders beefed up their defense with another addition Thursday, as ESPN.com reports the team has agreed a two-year deal with free-agent linebacker LaMarr Woodley. The deal has a maximum value of $12 million, according to the report.

Woodley spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Steelers, recording three straight double-digit sack seasons. Unfortunately, injuries have limited the 29-year-old's effectiveness recently, as he finished the 2013 season with just five sacks in 11 games.

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(3/10/2014) The Steelers will release linebacker LaMarr Woodley on Tuesday and designate him a post-June 1 cut, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter. Woodley was owed $8 million this year, $8.5 million next year and $9  million in 2016.

LaMarr Woodley's situation tied to Jason Worilds'

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(3/4/2014) The Steelers designated linebacker Jason Worilds with the transition tag on Monday, meaning they will have the right to match any offer another team makes to the linebacker this spring. But his future will affect LaMarr Woodley, who is on the chopping block based on his salary and recent injury track record.

Woodley missed 14 games over the past three seasons, but he would count nearly $14 million in dead money on the salary cap, a problem since the Steelers are tight against the salary cap as it is. But the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review says that if the Steelers keep Worilds then they'll likely release Woodley.

Worilds had eight sacks and 63 total tackles with a pair of forced fumbles, all career highs.

The Steelers could keep LaMarr Woodley and Jason Worilds

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/12/2014) Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert suggested the team could find a way to keep both LaMarr Woodley and Jason Worilds on the roster this offseason. Both are scheduled to be free agents in March.

Where Colbert slowed down on the optimism is when discussing Woodley's injuries -- he's missed 14 games over the past three seasons. NFL.com also noted that Woodley would count $14 million in dead money on the salary cap, a problem since they're projected to be $10 million over the cap.

Worilds also figures to be in high demand after his best season. He had eight sacks and 63 total tackles with a pair of forced fumbles, all career highs.

LaMarr Woodley taking different approach to staying healthy

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(1/22/2014) Injury-plagued Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley will be trying this offseason to shed that tag. That's why he will be working with noted trainer Tom Shaw.

Woodley has missed 14 games over the last three seasons, mostly with calf and hamstring injuries. He has previously trained on his own in Arizona, but will be working in Orlando this year with Shaw, who stresses running on trails and even sandpits to strengthen legs.

The new regimen for Woodley comes with the urging of teammate Ike Taylor, who has worked with Shaw.
