Analysis: Boley shined during the Giants' impressive postseason run and racked up 27 tackles and two sacks in four games. The 29-year-old also had 93 tackles during the regular season -- the fifth time in his seven-year NFL career he topped 80-plus stops. However, he doesn't produce too many sacks and Fantasy owners should consider him a low-end option in IDP formats for next season.

Analysis: Boley was a sterling tackler for New York this season and tallied 93 stops, the highest output during his three seasons with the team. The 29-year-old isn't known as a strong producer of sacks and should be considered a low-end option in Fantasy IDP formats for now.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley totaled 12 tackles (10 solo) in Week 15 against the Redskins. He has 80 tackles in 12 games.
Analysis: Boley has 10-plus tackles in just two games this season, but he has been one of the team's best contributors on defense when active. That keeps Boley as a low-end Fantasy start when active.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley has officially been ruled active for Week 13 against the Packers. Boley, who limited in practice this week due to a hamstring injury.

Analysis: Boley has missed the last two games and the Giants desperately need him back after the Saints ran all over the defense in Week 12. Boley is a solid contributor when healthy, so if he returns Week 13, then Fantasy owners might consider activating him.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley was listed among the inactives for Week 12 against the Saints. It was the second straight game he missed due to a hamstring injury.
Analysis: Boley has been one of the Giants' best defensive contributors this season and that has made him a decent play as a No. 2 or No. 3 Fantasy LB. Unfortunately, Fantasy owners will need to keep him reserved again.

News: Giants LB Michael Boley (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 11 vs. Philadelphia. The Giants will likely use Jacquian Williams and Spencer Paysinger to replace Boley against the Eagles.
Analysis: Boley is having a season on par with his production and can be used as a viable low-end Fantasy start when healthy. It's just that Fantasy owners need to use healthier alternatives in Week 11.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley sustained an apparent hamstring injury and left during the second quarter of Week 10 at San Francisco. He was replaced by LB Spencer Paysinger and was in street clothes after halftime. Boley finished with three tackles before departing.
Analysis: Boley was coming off his finest outing of the season when he registered 10 tackles and a sack against New England in Week 9. However, he was unable to complete Sunday's game and Fantasy owners should keep an eye on his status as he makes for a solid option in IDP formats.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley recorded his first sack of the season in Week 9 against the Patriots. He brought down QB Tom Brady in the third quarter and also forced a fumble in the process. Boley would finish second on New York with 10 tackles in the 24-20 win.
Analysis: Boley has never been known for his ability to get after the quarterback but he continues to rack of the tackles for the Giants. He should continue to be viewed as a viable Fantasy LB in the majority of IDP formats.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (knee) is active and starting Week 8 vs. Miami after being probable on the injury report.
Analysis: Boley has had knee problems the last few weeks, but he continues to play through it. He might be on the injury report the rest of the season, but as long as he suits up, then consider him a viable No. 2 or No. 3 Fantasy LB.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (knee) is listed as probable for Week 8 vs. Miami despite limited practice reps all week.
Analysis: Boley has actually been dealing with a knee problem for a few weeks, but he has yet to miss a game. It seems as though he might be on the injury report the rest of the season, but if his status ever changes, then we will let you know. Otherwise, continue to use Boley as a No. 2 or No. 3 Fantasy LB.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (knee) was activated for Week 6 against the Bills, as anticipated. He had been listed as probable on the injury report. Boley led the team with eight tackles.
Analysis: Boley managed seven tackles and one fumble recovery in Week 5, so it doesn't appear this injury is limiting his ability to make plays. The Bills should run the ball a decent amount Week 6, so Boley remains a viable Fantasy LB.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (knee) was limited in practice all week, but he is considered probable for Week 6 vs. Buffalo. Boley dealt with the same injury in Week 5 and played.
Analysis: Boley managed seven tackles and one fumble recovery in Week 5, so it doesn't appear this injury is limiting his ability to make plays. The Bills should run the ball a decent amount Week 6, so Boley remains a viable Fantasy LB.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (knee) was activated for Week 5 against Seattle, as anticipated. He had been listed as probable on the injury report.
Analysis: Boley simply got a day off to rest this week in practice. The Giants can't afford to lose him since they are pretty thin at LB to begin with. Consider Boley a viable Fantasy play for Week 5.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (knee) is listed as probable for Week 5 vs. Seattle. He returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday.
Analysis: Boley needed just a day to rest and it doesn't appear he is dealing with a major injury. The Giants can't afford to lose him since they are pretty thin at LB to begin with. Consider Boley a viable Fantasy play for Week 5.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (knee) was back at practice on Thursday as anticipated. He missed Wednesday's practice due to some swelling in his knees, but was expected to return on Thursday.
Analysis: Expect the Giants to take a cautious approach with Boley, but he should be able to go by Sunday. Monitor him for possible setbacks in practice this week if you rely on him in deeper IDP formats. In Week 4, he led the team in tackles with seven against the Cardinals.
News: Giants coach Tom Coughlin said on Wednesday that LB Michael Boley is dealing with swelling in his knees. Boley was held out of practice on Wednesday. Coughlin added, however, that Boley was scheduled to practice on Thursday.
Analysis: It would appear the Giants are going to take a cautious approach with Boley, but he should be able to go by Sunday. Monitor him for possible setbacks in practice this week if you rely on him in deeper IDP formats. In Week 4, he led the team in tackles with seven against the Cardinals.
News: New York LB Michael Boley led his team with seven tackles, five solo, in Sunday's 31-27 win over Arizona.
Analysis: Boley has 23 tackles on the year, but has yet to record a sack. While he does a little bit of everything for New York, Boley doesn't do enough to warrant a ton of Fantasy attention. Owners in IDP leagues should continue to view him as a low-end LB option moving forward.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley had six tackles in Week 3 at Philadelphia. He was credited with a tackle for a loss and a pass defensed.
Analysis: Boley, who scored a touchdown in Week 2 against St. Louis on a fumble recovery, has a pass defensed in each of the last two weeks. He can rack up decent tackle totals, but is not a high-end contributor in any particular category. He should be considered a viable reserve option in IDP leagues.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley was able to find the end zone in Week 2 against the Rams. Boley scooped up a backwards pass on a failed screen attempt from Sam Brafford and rumbled 67-yards for the touchdown. He finished with six tackles in the 28-16 victory -- three solo -- and also was credited with a pass defended and a quarterback hit.
Analysis: Boley scored the Giants first defensive touchdown since 2009 on Monday night looked like a running back steaming down the sideline. While Fantasy owners will surely jump all over the 29-year-old after his big day, Boley has been known to be very inconsistent at times. While he can rack up decent tackle totals, Boley is not a high-end contributor in any particular category, so consider him a low-end option heading into Week 3.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley managed four tackles in Week 1 at the Redskins. He did not pick up a sack and was not credited with any passes defensed.
Analysis: Boley can rack up decent tackle totals, but is not a high-end contributor in any particular category. He should be considered a viable reserve option in IDP leagues.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (shoulder) was listed as active for Week 15 against Philadelphia. He had been considered questionable on the team's injury report.
Analysis: Boley injured the shoulder in Monday's win over the Vikings, but was fine to practice on Wednesday without limitation. He sat out on Thursday, but returned Friday for limited practice time. He has racked up a solid number of tackles and even added a sack. Continue to utilize him as a low-end Fantasy option while healthy enough to play.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley is listed as questionable heading into the Week 15 game against the Eagles. He injured the shoulder in Monday's win over the Vikings, but was fine to practice on Wednesday without limitation. He sat out on Thursday, but returned Friday for limited practice time.
Analysis: Boley has not missed a game this season, and it looks like he will be able to play on Sunday. He has racked up a solid number of tackles and even added a sack. Continue to utilize him as a low-end Fantasy option in Week 15, assuming he plays. To be sure, check back with us about 90 minutes before kickoff.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley finished with just two tackles, both solo in Week 14 against the Vikings. He now has 69 tackles on the season to go along with a sack and a forced fumble.
Analysis: Boley burst on the Fantasy scene earlier in the season with his 16-tackle performance in Week 2 against the Colts. However, he has only recorded one other double-digit tackle total this season. Consider him a low-end Fantasy LB heading into Week 15 against the Eagles.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley totaled eight tackles (six solo) in Week 12 against the Jaguars. He had all of 10 tackles in his previous three November games.
Analysis: The Giants brought in Boley last season to be a playmaking LB. He has definitely fallen short in those expectations. He has stayed healthy in 2010, but he still isn't making a ton of noise in Fantasy. He remains a low-end Fantasy option.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley, after managing just five tackles over the last two games, was able to bring down four ball carriers in the Week 11 loss to the Eagles. Two of his tackles were of the solo variety.
Analysis: Boley was a non-factor in the game as he has been for the better part of 2010, despite knocking Tony Romo out in Week 7. If you normally keep Boley active continue to do so, he'll continue to give Fantasy owners decent tackles and the occasional big-play.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley didn't knock a quarterback out of the game in Week 10. The last time New York and Dallas faced, Boley's hit on Tony Romo would knock him out for the foreseeable future. Boley finished Week 10 with three tackles, two solo, in the Giants 33-20 loss.
Analysis: Boley has 49 tackles to his credit this year and one sack. While he is a force on the defensive side of the ball for the Giants, he doesn't do enough on a consistent basis to be considered a viable Fantasy option. He is nothing but a low-end LB option in the deepest of IDP leagues.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley has relatively quiet in Week 9 against the Seahawks. Boley had three tackles, all solo in the 41-7 win.
Analysis: Boley now has 46 tackles on the season. While he doesn't generate many turnovers or produce a ton of sacks, Boley is a decent source for tackles and should be considered a solid Fantasy LB heading into Week 10.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley finished with tackles, including a sack in Week 7 against the Cowboys. However, Boley's biggest contribution may have come in the second quarter of Monday's 41-35 win in Dallas. Boley drilled QB Tony Romo on a blitz right up the middle that left the Romo flat on his back. Romo suffered a broken collarbone on the hit and may be out for the rest of the season. "When he hit the ground, I heard him let out a little scream, so I knew something was up. You hate to see people get hurt. I wish him the best," Boley said.
Analysis: The hit Boley put on Romo was clean hit, but certainly a clean shot. He finished with four tackles, all solo and now has 39 on the season. While Boley doesn't create many turnovers, he remains a decent source for tackles and can be considered a low-end Fantasy LB in most IDP leagues, when the Giants take on the Seahawks in Week 9.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley was credited with nine tackles in Week 6 against the Lions. It was his second highest total of the season.
Analysis: Boley also had 16 tackles in Week 2, but he had just six tackles coming in. He remains a low-end reserve option in IDP formats until he can show more consistency.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley had just two tackles, one solo in Week 5 against the Texans. He now has 27 tackles on the season.
Analysis: Boley has been quiet since recording 16 tackles in Week 2 against the Colts. Since then, he has recorded only five tackles over the past three games and still does not ahve a sack on the season. Consider him a low-end Fantasy LB heading into Week 6 against the Lions.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley was credited with just one tackle in Week 3 against the Titans. He had recorded 16 tackles in Week 2 against the Colts.
Analysis: Boley has been inconsistent in the first three weeks of the season, but he was darn near nonexistent in Week 3. He is a low-end IDP LB option as a result of his inconsistency.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley led the team with 16 tackles, including 12 solo, Week 2 at Indianapolis. He had five tackles in Week 1.
Analysis: Boley doesn't get a ton of tackles for a linebacker -- only once recording 100 in a season -- so unless he has another performance like this one in the weeks ahead, you can continue to think of him as a low-end IDP option.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley had five tackles in Week 1 against the Panthers. He was also credited with one quarterback hit.
Analysis: Boley led all Giants linebackers with the five tackles. He was a key part of the team's success stopping the prominent running duo of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. The Giants defensive unit looked better as a whole in their first official game under new defensive coordinator Perry Fewell. He is a low-end IDP LB option, but could grow into a solid No. 2 option if the team continues to play this aggressive style.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (back) is listed as probable for Week 13 vs. Dallas. He practiced in full all week. Boley had six tackles in Week 2 against the Cowboys.
Analysis: Boley has had to take on a playmaking role the last few weeks since Antonio Pierce went down with a neck injury. It is a welcomed sight for Giants fans since New York shelled out the dough for Boley in the offseason. He is still more of a low-end Fantasy start.
News: Giants weakside LB Michael Boley and DT Chris Canty returned to the lineup in Week 9 against the Chargers. Boley missed a month after knee surgery. Canty was out since the opening week with a calf injury. Boley finished the game with seven solo tackles and Canty didn't stat.
Analysis: Boley dealt with a minor injury during the game, but was able to finish it out. He can be considered a low-end Fantasy LB when healthy. Canty is pretty much a run-stuffing tackle and has little to no Fantasy appeal.
News: Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said defensive tackle Chris Canty and linebacker Michael Boley took 50 percent of the snaps Friday and will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Canty has been sidelined since the opening game of the season with a calf injury and Boley had surgery on his right knee a month ago. Both should be candidates to play in Week 9 against the Chargers.
Analysis: Canty isn't expected to be a stat monger but Boley will have a shot at reasonable tackle totals. Consider him as a reserve option in league play so long as he's healthy.
News: The Giants listed the following players as inactive for Week 8 at Philadelphia: WR Ramses Barden, WR Mario Manningham, DB Aaron Ross, RB Gartrell Johnson and LB Michael Boley.
Analysis: Outside of Manningham, none of the players listed here are considered viable Fantasy options. Leave them on waivers until further notice.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (knee), DL Chris Canty (calf) and CB Aaron Ross (hamstring) have been ruled out of the team's Week 8 game against the Eagles.
Analysis: These are all low-end IDP options and can be ignored in all leagues while they are injured.
News: The Giants listed the following players as inactive for Week 7 against Arizona: WR Ramses Barden, DB Aaron Ross, RB Gartrell Johnson, LB Michael Boley, WR Sinorice Moss and DL Chris Canty.
Analysis: None of the players on this list are expected to have significant Fantasy value this season. Leave them out of active lineups in all leagues until further notice.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (knee), DT Chris Canty (calf) and CB Aaron Ross (hamstring) have been ruled out of the team's Week 7 game against the Cardinals.
Analysis: None of these players are anything more than low-end Fantasy options and can continue to be ignored in most IDP formats.
News: The Giants listed the following players as inactive for Week 6 against New Orleans: WR Ramses Barden, RB Danny Ware, DB Aaron Ross, LB Michael Boley, LB Clint Sintim and DL Chris Canty.
Analysis: Aside from Ross and Boley in IDP formats, none of the players on this list are expected to have much Fantasy appeal this season. Leave them on the waiver wire in all leagues until further notice.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (knee), DT Chris Canty (calf) and CB Aaron Ross (hamstring) have been ruled out of the team's Week 6 game at New Orleans.
Analysis: These three defenders are at best low-end options in IDP formats and should not be on too many rosters to begin with. They should not be active Week 6.
News: The Giants listed the following players as inactive for Week 5 against Oakland: DB Aaron Ross, DL Chris Canty, LB Michael Boley, LB Bryan Kehl, TE Kevin Boss, WR Ramses Barden and RB Danny Ware.
Analysis: Aside from Boss and Ross in larger IDP formats, none of the players on this list are expected to carry much Fantasy appeal this season. Leave them on waivers until further notice.
News: Giants defensive lineman Chris Canty, cornerback Aaron Ross and LB Michael Boley won't play vs. Oakland in Week 5. Canty has a calf injury, Ross is still dealing with a hamstring issue and Boley had knee surgery and is on the shelf for a month.
Analysis: Keep all three Giants defenders benched for Week 5. Typically, none of them warrant significant Fantasy consideration in the first place.
News: The New York Giants are dealing with the loss of linebackers Michael Boley and Bryan Kehl, who both had surgery and will sit out this weekend against Oakland. Boley had arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to repair a partially torn meniscus in his right knee. Dr. Russell Warren expects Boley to be sidelined approximately four weeks. He played in Sunday's victory at Kansas City, but his knee stiffened during the flight home on Sunday night. Kehl, who recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff against the Chiefs on Sunday, underwent surgery Tuesday for a fractured left index finger. Dr. Robert Hotchkiss said Kehl's status is week to week.
Analysis: Both Kehl and Boley are not considered solid Fantasy IDP options for use in Fantasy play. They can remains on the waiver wire for the time being and their injuries will not affect anyone in Fantasy play.
News: Giants LB Michael Boley (hip) is listed as probable for Week 2 at Dallas. Boley practiced in full the last two days after limited reps Wednesday.
Analysis: Boley is ready to make his Giants debut after he was suspended for the season opener because of a domestic violence issue when he played in Atlanta. Boley is a key free-agent addition for the Giants and expected to pay huge dividends. However, he has low-end Fantasy appeal until his breakout run.
News:Chris Canty's return to Dallas is now in doubt. The New York Giants DT missed practice on Thursday and his status for Sunday night's game in Dallas against the Cowboys is uncertain. Canty, who left Dallas to sign with the Giants as a free agent, was hurt in practice on Wednesday. He received treatment on Thursday while the team practiced. Starting safety Kenny Phillips (knee) returned to practice on a limited basis on Thursday and had a couple of interceptions. Michael Johnson, the other starting safety, missed his second practice with a shoulder injury, but coach Tom Coughlin thinks he has a chance to play. LB Michael Boley (hip) showed improvement and has a shot at playing, Coughlin said.
Analysis: Keep an eye on the Giants' defenders and hope they are OK after Friday's practice. That will determine their status for Sunday's game at Dallas.
News: Weakside linebacker Michael Boley, who was suspended for the season opener because of a domestic violence issue when he played in Atlanta, returned to the locker room Monday. He had offseason hip surgery and Coughlin was uncertain whether he would be ready to play against the Cowboys in Dallas on Sunday night.
Analysis: Boley has a lot of work to do to earn a starting job with the Giants, and even if he does he's not expected to be a key stat contributor for IDP owners. Keep him off rosters for now.
News: Giants linebacker Michael Boley is ready to get back on a football field. Boley, who signed a five-year, $25 million contract, was taken off the physically unable to perform list and was to practice on Monday for the first time since having surgery in June to repair a torn labrum. The former Atlanta Falcon hurt his hip during the offseason program. Boley cannot play in the regular season opener against Washington on Sept. 13 because he will be serving an NFL suspension.
Analysis: Boley has a lot of work to do to earn a starting job with the Giants, and even if he does he's not expected to be a key stat contributor for IDP owners. At best, he's worth a late-round pick in the deepest of drafts.
News: Giants linebacker Michael Boley has been suspended by the NFL for the first game of the regular season for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Boley, who spent the first four seasons of his career in Atlanta before he signed with New York in the offseason, was arrested in May of 2008 and charged with battery on his wife after she accused him of becoming "too physical" after an argument. He was with the Falcons at the time. The league said the suspension stems from that episode. Boley had surgery June 24 to repair a torn labrum in his hip. The team said the estimated recovery time for the injury is eight to 10 weeks, which would take him to midway through training camp before he is ready to practice.
Analysis: Boley wasn't expected to be a significant contributor in the first place, so this injury and suspension should knock him off of Fantasy draft lists. If anything, you might pick him up off the waiver wire as a one-week replacement during the season.
News: The Giants announced that weakside LB Michael Boley will miss eight-to-10 weeks after having surgery on a torn labrum in his hip. He is expected to miss all of training camp and be a question mark for the start of the regular season. Boley was signed this offseason to fill the weakside LB hole the defense dealt with last year, using three different guys throughout the year. Boley might be a candidate for the physically unable to perform list at the start of training camp as well.
Analysis: Boley wasn't expected to be a significant contributor in the first place, so this injury should knock him off of Fantasy draft lists. If anything, you might pick him up off the waiver wire as a one-week replacement during the season.
News: The New York Giants bolstered their defense Saturday, signing former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Michael Boley to a five-year, $25 million contract. Chase Blackburn, Gerris Wilkinson and rookie Bryan Kehl handled the weakside job for the Giants last season.
Analysis: The 26-year-old Boley is excellent in pass coverage and he is expected to be given a shot at winning the weakside job. The change of scenery also should be good for Boley. His career seemed to be on the rise in 2007 when he made 107 tackles with the Falcons. However, his role declined when Mike Smith took over as coach last season and he eventually lost his job late in the season. The Giants will have a new defensive coordinator this fall, but they are expected to continue their high-pressure blitz packages. Boley could have some sleeper value in deeper IDP formats as a result.
News: Falcons LB Michael Boley, who last year was considered a player the Falcons could try to sign long-term, lost his starting job Week 15 against the Buccaneers to career reserve Coy Wire. Coach Mike Smith, however, wouldn't indicate if the decision was because of problems on the field, off the field or both. Boley still faces domestic violence charges in nearby Gwinnett County for an incident with his wife at their home seven months ago.
Analysis: After the game, Boley and Wire both said they didn't know if the change was permanent. Smith was noncommittal. "That will really be based on the personnel grouping that the Vikings present," Smith said. "Again, it is very similar to what we do with our tight ends and our third receivers. It is just a matter of what kind of groupings there are. We have a plan in place that Coy will play in certain instances and Michael will play in the others. They should get equal time." Wire had 13 tackles in Week 15, so if he continues to start, he might have some appeal in Fantasy IDP leagues. This late in the season, though, you might just want to avoid these guys.
News: Falcons LB Michael Boley, limited in practice all week by a quadriceps injury, is active for Week 9 at Oakland. Boley has 31 tackles, four pass defenses and one interception in seven games.
Analysis: Boley has been nicked up a few times in 2008, but hasn't missed a game yet. His production has slowed some in his first year under Mike Smith, making him more of a low-end Fantasy LB when healthy.
News: Falcons LB Michael Boley (quadricep) is listed as questionable for Week 9 at Oakland. He went through limited practice reps all week. Boley has 31 tackles, four pass defenses and one interception in seven games.
Analysis: Boley has been nicked up a few times in 2008, but hasn't missed a game yet. His production has slowed some in his first year under Mike Smith and Boley is more of a low-end Fantasy LB when healthy.
News: Falcons DB Brent Grimes led all Atlanta defenders with 11 tackles in a Week 4 loss to the Panthers. Also contributing were LB Curtis Lofton (eight tackles), LB Michael Boley (five tackles), DB Erik Coleman (five tackles) and DB Lawyer Milloy (five tackles).
Analysis: Milloy, Coleman and Boley are low-end Fantasy options in IDP leagues, while Lofton and Grimes have minimal value. The first three are decent options in Week 5 at the Packers, as Green Bay likes to throw the ball around.
News: Falcons LB Michael Boley (neck) is active and expected to start Week 3 vs. Kansas City. Boley was listed as questionable on the injury report. He went through limited practice reps all week.
Analysis: Boley has played through the first two games, totaling 11 tackles and one pass defense. Boley has had some minor nicks since the preseason, but luckily he has been able to avoid any serious problems. Consider Boley a viable No. 2 Fantasy LB.
News: Falcons LB Michael Boley (neck) is listed as questionable for Week 3 vs. Kansas City. Boley went through limited practice reps all week and will be a game-time decision.
Analysis: Boley has played through the first two games, totaling 11 tackles and one pass defense. Boley has had some minor nicks since the preseason, but luckily he has been able to avoid any serious problems. However, this neck injury just doesn't seem to be disappearing. When healthy, Boley is a solid No. 2 Fantasy LB.
News: Falcons LB Michael Boley (neck) went through limited practice reps Wednesday as the team prepares for Week 3 vs. Kansas City. Boley has played through the first two games, totaling 11 tackles and one pass defense.

News: Falcons LB Michael Boley was able to play during Friday's preseason game against the Titans despite a back injury. Boley had four tackles (three solo) and has 10 tackles during the preseason.
Analysis: The Falcons, and Fantasy owners, are lucky had only a minor injury. He had a career season in 2007 with 109 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions and four forced fumbles. He is a developing talent and should be considered no worse than a No. 2 Fantasy LB.
News:Falcons LB Michael Boley didn't return in Saturday's preseason game against the Colts after sustaining a back injury in the second quarter.
Analysis: It is not known how severely Boley was injured. He is a No. 2 LB in IDP leagues, when healthy. Check back to learn more of his status.
News: Falcons LB Michael Boley was arrested and charged with battery Saturday. The 25-year-old linebacker, a rising star in the NFL and one of the team's more popular players, was released on $1,200 bond. Details of the arrest were not available. The 2005 fifth-round draft pick has been tabbed as one of the building blocks for a franchise. Though he signed a one-year contract tender for just more than $2 million last month, Boley and the Falcons were negotiating a long-term contract extension. The third-year outside linebacker was among the team's leading tacklers (110, four forced fumbles, two interceptions) last season and is arguably its best player.
Analysis: Keep an eye on what develops with Boley this offseason and if a suspension results. He is a No. 2 LB in IDP leagues, but this problem could hinder his play.
News: Restricted free-agent LB Michael Boley agreed to his one-year tender offer, keeping him in Atlanta's nest. Fantasywise, Michael Boley was the Falcons' best linebacker in 2007, totaling 109 tackles with three sacks, two interceptions, seven passes defensed and four forced fumbles.
Analysis: Boley has improved in each of his three seasons, so figure him to be a low-end No. 2 Fantasy LB in 2008 with the Falcons.
News: Fantasywise, Michael Boley was the Falcons' best linebacker in 2007, totaling 109 tackles with three sacks, two interceptions, seven passes defensed and four forced fumbles. Boley is scheduled to be a restricted free agent this offseason.
Analysis: Boley has improved in each of his three seasons and stands to cash in some this offseason. Whether he stays in Atlanta or moves on, figure him to be a low-end No. 2 Fantasy LB in 2008.
News: Falcons LB Michael Boley (six tackles), DB DeAngelo Hall (six tackles), RB Keith Brooking (four tackles) and DL Jonathan Babineaux (four tackles) and DL Chauncey Davis (sack) helped out in Atlanta's 28-16 loss to the Rams in Week 13.
Analysis: Boley is a high-end No. 2 Fantasy LB and should definitely start in Week 14 vs. New Orleans, while Hall and Brooking are decent backups at their respective positions. Babineaux and Davis have no Fantasy value at this time.
News: Falcons LB Michael Boley (elbow) is listed as probable for Week 13 at St. Louis. Boley went through full practices Thursday and Friday after limited reps Wednesday. Analysis: With 87 tackles on the season, Boley has emerged as a must-start linebacker in Fantasy. The three sacks come as a surprise, especially since he entered the game with none, but adding them to his arsenal will only improve his value. The Falcons visit the Rams in Week 13 -- a team that surrenders an awful lot of sacks.
News: Michael Boley has bigger concerns than his next contract. As one of the NFL's best young LBs in his third year with the Atlanta Falcons, Boley seems destined for a lucrative deal. Nothing drives him more, however, than the condition of his 7-year-old autistic son, Mikey. Boley's namesake has given his father a greater responsibility than beating blocks and making tackles. Every day brings another challenge, but Mikey is improving. Thanks to some help from the Falcons' front office, Boley has enrolled his boy at the Marcus Institute, an Atlanta center that specializes in educating children with developmental, neurological and behavorial disorders. Mikey also attends a public school that works with autistic kids.
Analysis: Boley is playing great this year. According to statistics kept by Falcons coaches, in Boley's first 40 games the former standout from Southern Mississippi has 230 tackles (164 solo), three sacks, four interceptions, 13 passes defended, four fumbles forced and three recovered. He also has 68 tackles this year, which ranks him eighth in the NFL, but the player's versatility is what makes him special. He is a No. 2 LB in IDP leagues.

News:The Sports Xchange reports Falcons LB Michael Boley, the NFL's third-leading leading tackler, said he is starting to realize that he is garnering respect from his peers. Late in the game against the Giants in Week 6, he got the wind knocked out of him. New York tight end Jeremy Shockey came and stood over him then helped him up and gave him some encouraging words. "He didn't have to do that," Boley said.
Analysis: Boley has put together solid seasons in his first two years in the NFL, but year three is looking like a career season. He has 51 tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble in five games. If you haven't received the memo, he is turning into a solid Fantasy LB. Have no qualms about starting him Week 7 against the Saints.

News: Falcons LB Michael Boley recorded 11 tackles and intercepted Titans QB Vince Young in Atlanta's 16-13 loss at Tennessee in Week 5.
Analysis: Boley remains an underrated linebacker in Fantasy IDP play and now has 42 tackles on the season. Target him on the waiver wire if he remains unowned in your league and consider starting him Week 6 against the Giants.
News: Five Falcons players who appeared on the injury report played in Week 17 at Philadelphia. LB Michael Boley (hamstring) (one solo TK), LB Ed Hartwell (knee) (six solo TK, one assist), DL Rod Coleman (knee) (one assist, PD), DB DeAngelo Hall (knee) (one solo TK, FR), DL Grady Jackson (knee) (one solo TK) all recorded statistics.
Analysis: Each of these players have decent Fantasy value in IDP leagues heading into the 2007 season, especially Hall and Hartwell. Jason Webster did not play in the game.
News: Atlanta LB Michael Boley (hamstring) has been upgraded from questionable to probable for Week 17 at Philadelphia.
Analysis: Boley is a highly underrated Fantasy LB. He does have 84 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions on the season. Consider using him in Fantasy leagues for Week 17.
News: Atlanta LB Michael Boley (hamstring) has been downgraded from probable to questionable for Week 17 at Philadelphia.
Analysis: Boley is a highly underrated Fantasy LB. He does have 84 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions on the season. He usually is a viable Fantasy option when healthy, but it is not looking too good for Week 17. Keep an eye out for him when inactives are released.
News: Atlanta DB Jason Webster (groin) is doubtful, while DB DeAngelo Hall (knee), LB Michael Boley (hamstring), DL Grady Jackson (knee) and DL Rod Coleman (knee) are listed as probable for Week 17 at Philadelphia.
Analysis: Hall and Boley are viable Fantasy options for Week 17. Ignore the other players.
News: Falcons coach Jim Mora said Tuesday that LB Michael Boley is day-to-day with a hamstring injury. He hopes he'll be ready to play at Philadelphia in Week 17.
Analysis: Boley should not be considered for major use in IDP Fantasy play.

LB Michael Boley had five tackles and a sack. LB Ed Hartwell had 12 tackles. LB Keith Brooking had nine tackles. DB DeAngelo Hall had three tackles.
Analysis: Keep the Falcons reserved for Week 17 against the Eagles but use all regular IDP players as needed.
News: The Falcons defense gave up 38 points and 352 yards in a Week 15 loss to the Cowboys. Rod Coleman had two sacks and Demorrio Williams chipped in with his first sack of the season. Michael Boley had the team's lone interception.
Analysis: Consider the Falcons DST a No. 2 Fantasy option for Week 16 vs. Carolina. Boley is a pretty solid Fantasy LB, whereas Coleman and Williams are low-end Fantasy options.
News: Despite being decimated by injuries, the Falcons defense held the Browns to 236 yards and sacked QB Charlie Fyre five times in Week 10. The sacks went to DL Paul Carrington, LB Michael Boley, DL Rod Coleman, DL T.J. Jackson and DL Josh Mallard. The defense also recovered two fumbles.
Analysis: The Falcons were already playing without John Abraham, Ed Hartwell and Jason Webtser, but they lost Patrick Kerney during the game and his status for Week 11 is up in the air. The unpredictable Falcons defense did a stellar job against the Browns in Week 11, but they will have a tougher challenge ahead in the Ravens. Consider the Falcons DST a low-end No. 2 option for Week 11. Of the five guys that had sacks, Boley is the only player that should be used in IDP leagues.
News: LB Michael Boley was the 20th linebacker chosen in the 2005 draft, but he's already started 18 of 23 games for the Falcons. This season, the former fifth-round pick from Southern Mississippi has 37 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, one interception, five pass breakups and one special teams stop.
Analysis: Boley has been a great addition to the linebacking core in Atlanta. He certainly looks as though he could be on his way to All-Pro honors one day. He gets a fair share of stats across the board to be considered no worse than a No. 4 Fantasy LB.
News: The Falcons DST recovered a fumble and had two sacks against Cincinnati. LB Michael Boley recovered a fumble, DL Patrick Kerney had two tackles and a sack and forced a fumble, LB Keith Brooking had nine tackles and DB Chris Crocker had two tackles and a sack.

News: The Falcons scored a defensive TD in Week 4 vs. Arizona when DeAngelo Hall returned an interception 37 yards for a score. They limited the Cardinals to 10 yards and only 187 yards of total offense. They forced four turnovers on the day and notched four sacks in the game, three by Patrick Kerney. Michael Boley had seven tackles, including a sack and he also had an interception.
Analysis: The Falcons may have won the week for Fantasy owners everywhere. Unfortunately, those same owners will have to look elsewhere for a defense in Week 5 as the Falcons are on a bye. If at all possible, keep them reserved. You'll find it hard to claim them off the waiver wire if you cut them.
News: LB Michael Boley was playing like a man possessed in Week 3 at New Orleans, recording nine solo tackles and assisting on two others. He also had a pass defensed in the loss.
Analysis: Boley was getting the start with Edgerton Hartwell (knee) out of the mix. Boley is a solid play in IDP leagues if Hartwell cannot go in Week 4 at Carolina.
News: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Edgerton Hartwell had surgery to repair his torn right Achilles' tendon Monday morning. DB Chris Cash also underwent surgery to repair two broken bones in his right forearm. Both were placed on injured reserve.
Analysis: The Falcons DST will see a few changes this week, due to these injuries. Either OLD Keith Brooking or OLB Ike Reese will move into Hartwell's spot inside, both have played the position before. "I'm completely comfortable with whatever they decide is best for our football team," Brooking said. "We have a lack of depth there, so we need to get our best players on the football field." Demorrio Williams could replace Brooking at WLB or Michael Boley would replace Reese at SLB. Allen Rossum would probably step in for Cash. No matter what changes are made, start this DST unit at New Orleans in Week 6.
News: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the Falcons have signed Michael Boley to a three-year contract.
Analysis: Boley, a fifth-round choice, has no value in Fantasy Football.
