Bills shaking things up at linebacker

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(3/14/2014) Despite a successful first season in the middle of the Bills defense, Kiko Alonso won't play there in 2014. That's according to Bills GM Doug Whaley, who said on WGR 550 AM that Alonso will move to weak-side linebacker in 2014 with new linebacker Keith Rivers playing at the strong side.

So who will man the middle? The Bills are hosting free-agent candidates but Whaley seems to think that "guys on campus" will get a crack at it first. Ty Powell was someone Whaley named specifically

As for linebacker Manny Lawson, Whaley said he'd like to see him become a "hybrid" player, which ESPN believes is code for a diminishing role
