News: Titans DB Anthony Smith (groin) was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday and will be replaced on the active roster by DB Robert Johnson, who was signed off the practice squad.
Analysis: Smith posted 11 tackles in 13 games this season and posed minimal Fantasy value even when healthy. Continue to ignore him in all IDP formats.
News: The Titans signed DB Anthony Smith on Tuesday.
Analysis: Smith is a veteran of five NFL seasons and has seven interceptions in 63 career games. He will vie for a roster spot with Tennessee and has no Fantasy appeal at this time.
News: Green Bay S Anthony Smith was placed on IR on Saturday in order to make room for Graham Harrell on the roster. Smith has an ankle injury. His season is over.
Analysis: Smith is pretty much just DB depth for the Packers. He has no Fantasy value and can be left on waivers in all leagues.
News: Packers DB Anthony Smith left in the first quarter of Green Bay's Week 11 game at Minnesota with an ankle injury.
Analysis: Smith is pretty much just DB depth for the Packers and can continue to be ignored in IDP Fantasy play, healthy or not.
News: The Jaguars and the Green Bay Packers finalized a trade Monday with safety Anthony Smith going to the Packers in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick. Smith was claimed off waivers by the Jaguars in 2009 and played in 13 games for the club the last two seasons, including three this season. He spent the 2009 preseason with the Packers.
Analysis: Smith will provide depth for a Green Bay secondary dealing with injuries. Keep an eye on his production, but he has minimal Fantasy value in IDP leagues.
News: Colts rookie TE Brody Eldridge dropped a pass near the goal line in the third quarter. Anthony Smith made a shoelace grab on the ball and returned it near midfield. His interception was the first for Indy's Peyton Manning on the year. He had thrown 165 passes without a pick. Smith would also record six tackles, five solo, in the Jaguars Week 4 win.
Analysis: Smith didn't play the last two weeks for the Jaguars, but with them beat up in the secondary, he got the start. He has 11 tackles on the year to go with his interception. Heading into Week 5, Jacksonville travels to Buffalo. Smith could have a decent game if he starts, but he is too risky to even own in Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: Jaguars DB Tyron Breckenridge (nine tackles), LB Justin Durant (seven tackles), LB Daryl Smith (six tackles), LB Clint Ingram (six tackles), DL Derrick Harvey (five tackles, sack), DL Terrance Knighton (four tackles, sack), DB Gerald Alexander (three tackles, fumble recovery) and DB Anthony Smith (two tackles, fumble recovery) all had nice stat lines in a Week 14 loss to Miami.
Analysis: Durant and Smith are the only really Fantasy-viable games in this group, so only consider them in Week 15 vs. Indianapolis.
News: The Jaguars had several players do well on defense Sunday against Houston. Justin Durant had an interception and a sack, Derrick Harvey had a sack, Anthony Smith had four tackles and an interception, Daryl Smith had eight tackles and Gerald Alexander had two tackles and an interception.
Analysis: The Jaguars have a few players who are worth using in IDP leagues with Durant, Smith and Harvey. Keep your regular IDP options active for Week 14 against Miami.
News: The Jacksonville Jaguars have been awarded fourth-year safety Anthony Smith off waivers from the St. Louis Rams. Jaguars CB Scott Starks was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
Analysis: Smith, 6-0, 200, has played in 48 games with 14 starts for the Pittsburgh Steelers and St. Louis, with career totals of 99 tackles, four interceptions and 23 special teams tackles. Smith played in two games for the Rams this season after being claimed off waivers, finishing with five tackles, before he was waived on November 5. Starks played in five of the first seven games for the Jaguars this season and had seven tackles and two special teams tackles. Neither player should be owned in any Fantasy leagues.
News: Rams WR Nate Jones, DB Anthony Smith, DB James Butler, WR Ruvell Martin, DL Victor Adeyanju and QB Keith Null (third quarterback) have been listed as inactive for the team's Week 6 game at Jacksonville.
Analysis: None of these players have any Fantasy relevance and can be ignored in all formats.
News: The Rams have declared the inactives for their Week 5 game vs. St. Louis: CB Anthony Smith, CB James Butler, WR Ruvell Martin, DE Victor Adeyanju and DT Darell Scott.
Analysis: Martin might have minimal value in super-deep leagues when healthy, but was doubtful coming in to Sunday. Ignore him and everyone else in this list for the time being.
News: The following players are listed as inactive for the Rams for their Week 3 game against Green Bay: DB Anthony Smith, DB David Roach, WR Ruvell Martin, DL Victor Adeyanju and DL Darell Scott.
Analysis: None of the players on this list have had any Fantasy appeal this season. They are not in a situation to contribute and should not be owned in Fantasy.
News: The following players are listed as inactive for the Rams for Week 2's game at Washington: DB Anthony Smith, DB Craig Dahl, WR Ruvell Martin, DL Victor Adeyanju and DL Darell Scott.
Analysis: Martin is a very low-end Fantasy option at WR and really shouldn't be on many rosters. The same goes for the rest of the players listed above.
News:Anthony Smith, Craig Dahl, Eric Young, Roger Allen III, John Greco, Victor Adeyanju and LaJuan Ramsey were listed as the Rams inactives for Week 1 against the Seahawks.
Analysis: None of these players have any Fantasy relevance and should be left out of lineups at all times.
