News: The Jaguars continued trimming their roster Friday in preparation for the regular season and released the following players: quarterback Jordan Palmer; tight end Colin Cloherty; running back Richard Murphy; defensive backs Rod Issac and Trumaine McBride; linebacker J.K. Schaffer; and defensive lineman Odrick Ray.
Analysis: Some of these players were able to make an early impression in training camp and survive the first round of cuts. However, neither of them were ultimately expected to make a Fantasy impact this season and should be left on waivers at this point.

News: The Saints released several players on Friday on the way to cutting-down the right amount to get to the final 53 players. Among the casualties included T Jordan Black, T George Foster, S Quincy Butler, TE Tory Humphrey, CB Trumaine McBride, S Pierson Prioleau and S Chris Reis. The team also waived TE Tyler Lorenzen, LB Dwight Roberson, DT Dexter Larimore and WR Montez Billings.
Analysis: None of the players mentioned above were expected to become starters. They also weren't expected to make much of a Fantasy impact, so ignore them in all formats.
News: The Saints have signed former Cardinals CB Trumaine McBride, making room for him by waiving several undrafted rookies. McBride has just one interception in four pro seasons.
Analysis: McBride provides nothing but organizational depth for the Saints secondary, if he makes the team. Fantasy owners should not count on him making a big impact in 2011, though stranger things have happened. Ignore McBride on Draft Day.
News: Cardinals DB Trumaine McBride appeared to injure his left shoulder in 11-on-11 drills Wednesday when he ran into a pick, but he later returned. McBride has been running with the first team, but CB Greg Toler has pushed him hard.
Analysis: Even if McBride wins the starting job he has minimal Fantasy value. He's not expected to make many plays for the Cardinals defense in 2010.
News: Cardinals CB Greg Toler sustained an undisclosed injury in practice Tuesday and did not return. Toler is locked in a battle with Trumaine McBride for the starter's role opposite Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. McBride has recently returned from missing time with a groin injury.
Analysis: Even if McBride wins the starting job he has minimal Fantasy value. He's not expected to make many plays for the Cardinals defense in 2010.
News: The Bears have waived CB Trumaine McBride injured (knee sprain) and have signed former Cleveland CB DeAngelo Smith in a move aimed at helping their special teams.
Analysis: Smith and McBride have minimal Fantasy value and should be ignored in all leagues for 2009.
News: Bears backup cornerback Trumaine McBride injured a knee in Week 1's loss to the Packers in Green Bay on Sunday night. His injury severity is not known.
Analysis: As a backup, McBride has very, very little Fantasy value in IDP leagues.
News: The Chicago Tribune reports that Bears rookie DB Trumaine McBride is expected to start Week 13 against the Giants in placed of the injured Nathan Vasher, who is probable with a groin injury. Vasher practiced Friday, but has missed the last eight games. Bears head coach Lovie Smith expects Vasher to ease his eay back into the rotation. He could play in nickel situations against the Giants. "Once we bring him back, we probably wouldn't play him the entire game," Smith said. "I wouldn't say he'd go from none of the reps to all of the reps."
Analysis: McBride has had some nice starts in place of Vasher, but he still has zero interceptions this season. He is merely a low-end Fantasy DB for Week 13.
News: According to the Chicago Tribune, Bears DB Nathan Vasher (groin) will be a game-time decision Week 11 at Seattle despite missing practice all week. However, Vasher is expected to miss his seventh consecutive games with rookie Trumaine McBride starting in his place.
Analysis: McBride has totaled 25 tackles and one forced fumble in nine games this season. He is merely a low-end Fantasy DB for Week 11. The Seahawks will pass the ball a lot, but McBride is not an outstanding defensive back.
News: Bears DB Trumaine McBride (eight tackles), DB Danieal Manning (five tackles), LB Hunter Hillenmeyer (three tackles) and DL Anthony Adams (three tackles) all made decent contributions in Chicago's 19-16 win over the Eagles in Week 7.
Analysis: None of these players have any Fantasy value at this time.
News: Bears CB Trumaine McBride, a seventh-round draft pick, is expected to be in the starting lineup Sunday because of injuries to Nate Vasher and Charles Tillman, reports The Sports Xchange. The Bears play at Detroit in Week 4.
Analysis: McBride isn't an IDP consideration in most weeks, but playing the Lions in Detroit, he could see plenty of action in the banged-up Bears secondary. If you need a bye-week replacement in Week 4, give McBride some thought.
News: LB Brandon Ayanbadejo (knee) and Trumaine McBride (toe) were able to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Browns. Ayanbadejo had two solo tackles, assisted on another and had an interception while McBride recorded eight solo stops.
Analysis: McBride is expected to provide depth and support in the defensive secondary and isn't worth looking at in IDP Fantasy leagues just yet.
News: Bears DB Trumaine McBride (toe) and WR Brandon Rideau (ankle) did not play during Saturday's preseason game against the 49ers.
Analysis: McBride remains day to day. He is expected to provide depth and support in the defensive secondary and isn't worth looking at in IDP Fantasy leagues just yet.
News: Trumaine McBride (toe) was unable to play in Monday's preseason game at Indianapolis.
Analysis: McBride remains day to day. He is expected to provide depth and support in the defensive secondary and isn't worth looking at in IDP Fantasy leagues just yet.
News: Seventh-round cornerback Trumaine McBride has already played so impressively that the Bears were content to trade veteran Dante Wesley, leaving McBride as the top backup to starter Charles Tillman, reports The Sports Xchange. "It basically lets me know that I'm doing something right, so that really helps my confidence level," McBride said. "I just have to come into the game focused to let people know I can play in this league and to be ready to play in case we get an injury." McBride tied for second on the team Saturday night at Houston with 4 solo tackles. The Chicago Tribune reports that McBride was out of practice on Thursday with a toe injury.
Analysis: McBride is expected to provide depth and support in the defensive secondary and isn't worth looking at in IDP leagues just yet.
News: Aside from first-round pick TE Greg Olsen, the Bears' 2007 draft class includes: Central Michigan DE Dan Bazuin, Northern Illinois RB Garrett Wolfe, Stanford LB Michael Okwo, Boston College OG Josh Beekman, Louisiana-Monroe FS Kevin Payne, New Hampshire CB Corey Graham, Ole Miss CB Trumaine McBride and Iowa State OT Aaron Brant.
Analysis: Bazuin has nice speed for a DE (4.68 in the 40-yard dash) but may not have the muscle to play regularly. He could be a good source for cheap sacks in the coming seasons. Wolfe also has great speed but is very small and is likely going to be a secondary KR threat alongside Devin Hester as well as an occasional change-of-pace running back. The rest of the team will provide depth, especially in the defensive backfield.
