Before that positive play, however, Buffalo's first-unit defense was shredded by Snelling runs of 22, 6 and 12 yards. "It's good we're stopping them down at the end, but we need to address the problem of why they're getting down there in the first place," said Posluszny, sounding like a veteran. "There are lots of little things to work on. I definitely need a lot of work. It's great to get this experience and get the kinks out for the season, but there are a lot of little things I need to concentrate on and get better at."
Analysis: Posluszny is worth drafting as a No. 3 LB in IDP leagues and could challenge for defensive rookie of the year.

"It felt good to get out and play some other competition and play a real game," said Posluszny, Penn State's all-time leading tackler. "At first I was a little nervous. But like anything else, once I got some reps under my belt, I got real comfortable."

Posluszny, Buffalo's second-round draft pick out of Penn State, played middle linebacker with the first unit for most of the week and looked solid most of the time. "The more you see of him, the more it confirms our opinion of him, why we wanted him," Bills coach Dick Jauron said. "He's really a great guy to have on the team. He's got a great attitude, and he's only going to get better."
Analysis: Posluszny practiced with the first unit because second-year player John DiGiorgio has been hampered by a hip flexor. DiGiorgio practiced with the second team Saturday. Posluszny was excited about working with the top unit. "Practicing with the No. 1 group is the most important thing," Posluszny said. "The more I'm able to get together with them, the better I'll be." Posluszny is already worth look as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy LB.
News: Linebacker Paul Posluszny signed a four-year deal with Buffalo potentially worth over $5 million on Wednesday, a day before the start of Bills training camp. The two-time All-American agreed to a deal that includes $2.55 million in guaranteed money and is worth $4.75 million overall. It also includes $325,000 in incentive clauses. Posluszny, the 34th pick overall, set a Penn State record with 372 career tackles in 44 games. In each of his last two seasons, he had 116 tackles and won the Bednarik Award as the nation's top defensive player. He also won the Dick Butkus Award -- awarded to the nation's top linebacker -- in 2005. To make room, the Bills cut cornerback Duane Coleman.
