News: The Panthers have re-signed backup tight end Ben Hartsock.
Analysis: The blocking tight end has never been an impressive stat producer. Keep him off of Fantasy rosters.
News: The Panthers have agreed on a two-year contract with TE Ben Hartsock, which likely precludes them from re-signing Dante Rosario. Starting TE Jeff King signed with Arizona late Tuesday night.
Analysis: Hartsock is more of a blocker than a receiver and will likely see limited playing time. You can do better than this at tight end on Draft Day.
News: Jets DE Vernon Gholston and TE Ben Hartsock have been released. The Gholston release was reported earlier in the week. The team officially confirmed it on Wednesday.
Analysis: Hartsock was a reserve TE for the Jets and had minimal Fantasy value in 2010. Keep an eye on where he signs in 2011, but he should not be drafted in the majority of leagues.
News: The New York Daily News reports that Jets TE Ben Hartsock (hamstring) didn't participate in OTA workouts Wednesday, but he plans to be ready by minicamp June 14-16.
Analysis: Hartsock should be ready for the start of training camp, which is what matters. Keep an eye on Hartsock's status, but he has minimal Fantasy value since the Jets are set at tight end with Dustin Keller. Hartsock should not be drafted in the majority of leagues this year.
News: The Jets have re-signed tight end Ben Hartsock, a major part of the league's top-ranked rushing offense last season. Hartsock, signed as a free agent last August, had one catch - a 2-yard touchdown in Week 3 - but was used mostly as a blocking complement to Dustin Keller. He helped pave the way for an offense that averaged a league-leading 172.2 yards per game behind Thomas Jones, now with Kansas City, Shonn Greene and Leon Washington.
Analysis: Looking for stats from a Fantasy TE? None here. Keep Hartsock off of Fantasy rosters.
News:Ben Hartsock, Wallace Wright and Matthew Mulligan all failed to record a stat on Sunday in a Week 17 win over the Bengals.
Analysis: None of these players will have any Fantasy value looking ahead to the 2010 season.
News: Jets WR Wallace Wright, TE Matthew Mulligan, TE Ben Hartsock, TE James Dearth and QB Kellen Clemens all dressed but failed to record an offensive stat in Week 16 against the Colts.
Analysis: Most of these players are reserves for the Jets or contribute on special teams. They don't have a reliable role on offense. Make sure to keep these players out of Fantasy lineups heading into Week 17. The Jets play the Bengals.
News: Jets RB Tony Richardson, WR Wallace Wright, TE Matthew Mulligan, TE Ben Hartsock, TE James Dearth and QB Eric Ainge all dressed for New York's Week 15 loss to the Falcons but failed to record an offensive stat.
Analysis: None of these players ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers for Week 16 at Indianapolis.
News: Jets TE Ben Hartsock started the Week 14 win over the Bucs but did not stat in the game. Also not picking up stats in the game: WR Wallace Wright, FB Tony Richardson and TE James Dearth.
Analysis: None of these players ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers.
News: Jets WR Wallace Wright, TE Matthew Mulligan, RB Danny Woodhead, TE Ben Hartsock and TE James Dearth didn't record offensive statistics Week 13 at Buffalo.
Analysis: None of these players ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers.
News: The Jets had six players dress but fail to record an offensive stat Sunday with WR David Clowney, WR Wallace Wright, TE James Dearth, TE Ben Hartsock, FB Tony Richardson and WR Brad Smith.
Analysis: None of these players are worth using in Week 13 at Buffalo. They have minimal Fantasy vale in the majority of formats.
News: Jets QB Kellen Clemens, WR Wallace Wright, WR Danny Woodhead, TE James Dearth and TE Ben Hartsock all dressed in Week 11 against the Patriots but failed to record an offensive stat.
Analysis: Most of these players are either reserves or special teams contributors for the Jets. They hardly make a dent in Fantasy on a regular basis. It's safe to keep them out of Fantasy lineups heading into Week 12 against the Panthers.
News: Jets RB Tony Richardson, QB Kellen Clemens, WR Wallace Wright, WR Brad Smith and TE Ben Hartsock all dressed for New York's Week 10 loss to the Jaguars but failed to record an offensive stat.
Analysis: None of these players ever contribute enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers for Week 11 at New England.
News: Jets TE Ben Hartsock, QB Kellen Clemens, WR Wallace Wright, RB Danny Woodhead and TE James Dearth all dressed for a Week 8 loss to Miami but didn't record an offensive stat.
Analysis: None of these players ever contributes enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers. The Jets are off in Week 6.
News: Jets TE Ben Hartsock, RB Tony Richardson and TE James Dearth all dressed but failed to record an offensive stat in Week 7 against Oakland.
Analysis: Most of these players are reserves or special teams contributors for the Jets. They don't regularly post offensive numbers and aren't really helpful to Fantasy owners. Leave them off Fantasy rosters heading into Week 8 against the Dolphins.
News: Jets WR David Clowney, WR Wallace Wright, RB Danny Woodhead, TE Ben Hartsock, TE James Dearth and QB Kellen Clemens didn't record offensive statistics against the Bills in Week 6.
Analysis: Clowney had a decent performance with Jerricho Cotchery out last week, but the Jets' passing game struggled too much for him to make an impact this week. He might deserve a look in deeper leagues for Week 7 at Oakland, but Cotchery might return by then. None of these other players ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy.
News: New York Jets TE Ben Hartsock got the start on Monday night in a loss at Miami in Week 5. He did not make any catches or pick up any stats in the game. The following players played but had no stats: WR Wallace Wright, FB Tony Richardson and TE James Dearth. Backup QB Kellen Clemens did not play.
Analysis: None of these players ever contributes enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers for Week 6 against Buffalo.
News: Jets TE Ben Hartsock made only one catch in Week 3's game against the Titans but he made it count. He was the recipient of one of Mark Sanchez's two TD passes on the day, this one coming from two yards out.
Analysis: Hartsock had not recorded a stat in his first two games with the Jets, so Fantasy owners should not get too excited about this one catch. Keep him out of all Fantasy formats for Week 4 at New Orleans.
News: Jets FB Tony Richardson, WR Wallace Wright, TE Brian Hartsock, TE James Dearth, WR David Clowney, QB Kellen Clemens and RB Shone Green all dressed for a Week 2 win over the Patriots, but didn't record a stat.
Analysis: Clowney, Greene and maybe even Clemens have some Fantasy value, but all are stuck in backup spots right now. Do not start any of these guys in Week 3 vs. Tennessee.
News: The Jets signed veteran Ben Hartsock to a one-year deal Wednesday, filling their need for a blocking tight end, his agent told The Associated Press. Hartsock, who spent last season with Atlanta, signed with the Jets a day after the Falcons released him, agent Mike McCartney said. The Jets, who hadn't yet announced the signing, also waived punter Glenn Pakulak. It was unclear if Hartsock would play in the Jets' preseason finale against Philadelphia at the Meadowlands on Thursday night.
Analysis: Hartsock, 29, played his first two seasons with Indianapolis and also played two seasons with Tennessee. He has 27 catches for 273 yards in five seasons, but the 6-foot-4, 265-pound Hartsock will be counted on to be the blocking complement to pass-receiving tight end Dustin Keller. Hartsock is now worth owning in any Fantasy format.
News: With the trade of TE Tony Gonzalez to the Falcons, players at the position already on the Falcons roster will be pushed back on the depth chart and possibly off the roster. This includes TEs Justin Peelle, Ben Hartsock, Jason Rader and Keith Zinger.
Analysis: Realistically, none of these tight ends were going to emerge into reliable Fantasy options anyway, so owners can safely keep them all off their rosters heading into the 2009 season.
News: The Falcons placed TE Ben Hartsock on Injured Reserve Wednesday with a toe injury, re-signing TE Jason Rader to take his place on the roster.
Analysis: Hartsock totaled three receptions for 26 yards in 11 games. Rader has zero career receptions in six NFL games. You're on your own if you pick up either of these stat-thirsty tight ends.
News: Falcons TE Ben Hartsock, RB Ovie Mughelli, TE Justin Peelle and QB Chris Redman didn't record offensive statistics Week 12 against the Panthers.
Analysis: None of these players ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers for Week 13 at San Diego.
News: Falcons TE Ben Hartsock, TE Justin Peelle, WR Laurent Robinson, WR Harry Douglas and QB Chris Redman didn't record offensive statistics Week 11 against the Broncos.
Analysis: None of these players ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers.
News: Falcons TE Ben Hartsock caught a two-yard pass Week 9 at Oakland. He now has three catches all season.
Analysis: The Falcons obviously use Hartsock more for blocking purposes than anything else. Leave him on waivers Week 10 against the Saints.
News: Falcons TE Jason Rader, TE Ben Hartsock and QB Chris Redman didn't record offensive statistics Week 8 at Philadelphia.
Analysis: None of these players ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers.
News: The following Falcons did not record an offensive statistic in Week 6 vs. Chicago: QB Chris Redman, TE Ben Hartsock, RB Jason Snelling, WR Adam Jennings, FB Ovie Mughelli, TE Jason Rader and TE Justin Peelle.
Analysis: None of the players on this list are going to be in line for considerable playing time anytime soon. Leave them on the waiver wire in all Fantasy leagues until further notice.
News: The following Falcons did not record an offensive statistic in Week 5 at Green Bay: QB Chris Redman, TE Ben Hartsock, RB Jason Snelling, LS Mike Schneck, WR Adam Jennings and WR Brian Finneran.
Analysis: None of the players on this list are going to be in line for considerable playing time anytime soon. Leave them on the waiver wire in all Fantasy leagues until further notice. They've got some depth chart climbing to do.
News: Falcons TE Ben Hartsock caught one pass for seven yards in a Week 4 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: Hartsock is the starting TE in Atlanta, but he's used more for blocking than anything else. Continue to ignore him heading into Week 5 at Green Bay.
News: Falcons TE Ben Hartsock, RB Ovie Mughelli, RB Jason Snelling, WR Adam Jennings, WR Brian Finneran and QB Chris Redman all dressed, but failed to record an offensive stat Week 3 against the Chiefs.
Analysis: Most of these players are either reserves, play on special teams or aren't an integral part of the Falcons' offense. They have little to no Fantasy value heading into Week 4 against the Panthers.
News: Atlanta TE Ben Hartsock caught one pass for 17 yards on Sunday against Detroit in the Falcons win.
Analysis: Ryan didn't need to lean on Hartsock because the Falcons running game was nearly unstoppable. Still, with a tougher defense coming as Atlanta travels to Tampa Bay in Week 2, Ryan might need to dump off more passes to Hartsock and that could increase his Fantasy value. Go into Week 2 with Hartsock on the waiver wire, but keep an eye on him. If Ryan seems to go to him more often, he could become a No. 2 Fantasy TE and/or a one-week replacement off the waiver wire as the year rolls on.
News: The Falcons signed Hartsock, the former Titans starter, in March after releasing Crumpler. Tennessee quickly signed Crumpler, a four-time Pro Bowl player with Atlanta. "I'm not here to be an Alge Crumpler replacement," Hartsock said after Wednesday's practice. "That's not something anybody can do. He's a special type player." Crumpler had knee problems last year and missed two games, but he still had 42 catches for 444 yards and five touchdowns. It was his fifth straight year with 40 or more catches, including two seasons when he led the Falcons in receptions. Hartsock has only 24 catches in 45 career games, including 12 receptions with the Titans last year in a shared role with Bo Scaife. Hartsock says he'd like the chance to show he can be an effective receiver, but his blocking skills were the big draw for coach Mike Smith in the Falcons' run-oriented offense. "Ben has worked extremely hard and I think he's about what we anticipated he would be," Smith said Wednesday. "He's a guy who can move the chain with the run game."
Analysis: Hartsock isn't worth drafting but is worth taking notice of at the start of the season. If the Falcons lean on him -- and they might if rookie QB Matt Ryan is under center -- then he could come into play as a No. 2 Fantasy TE and/or a one-week replacement off the waiver wire as the year rolls on.
News: According to the official Atlanta team site, the Falcons will throw to their tight ends more in 2008 with a former tight end at the helm (OC Mike Mularkey). "We want it at a point where a defense can't say 'when he's in the game we're going to throw the football or when he's in the game we're going to run the football,' new tight ends coach Chris Scelfo said. "These guys are treated equal. They have to be good at it all." The No. 1 option at TE will be for Titans blocker Ben Hartsock, who was signed in the offseason.
Analysis: Hartsock was used primarily as a blocking tight end during his tenure with the Tennessee Titans but last year he caught a career-high 12 passes for 138 yards. With the look of a more traditional tight end he hopes to be a dual threat on the line and in the open field. While it was originally thought that Hartsock would be just a blocking TE with the Falcons, his stock is definitely rising in Fantasy. You may consider drafting him as a late-round sleeper for the position with upside if he plays well in training camp.
News: The Falcons have agreed to terms with free agent Ben Hartsock. Hartsock, who was drafted in the third round in 2004 by Indianapolis, is best known for his blocking ability. He has just 24 catches for 247 yards in 45 career games, including 12 catches for 138 yards with Tennessee last season. Terms of the deal were not released.
Analysis: It's doubtful that Hartsock will become a receiving tight end for the Falcons, so Fantasy owners should just pass on him in drafts this summer.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock, a reserve behind starter Bo Scaife, appeared in all 16 games in 2007 and finished with 12 catches for 138 yards. He will be a free agent this offseason, but Hartstock's main role is as a blocker and on special teams.
Analysis: Hartstock has minimal Fantasy value at this time and should not be added in any leagues heading into 2008.
News: Titans quarterback Vince Young practiced on a limited basis Wednesday but lost one of his favorite targets when tight end Bo Scaife was placed on injured reserve with a lacerated liver. Scaife won't be available for the playoffs. Tennessee plays at San Diego in the Wild Card round Sunday. "Bo's been a big-play guy for us in his own way," head coach Jeff Fisher said. "He's kind of a leader on offense. He's out there every day, gets up after most big hits. This one, he did. He came back and played. It's a difficult situation for Bo. We've got people on the roster that are going to have to step up." Ben Troupe and Ben Hartsock will fill in for Scaife against the Chargers.
Analysis: Hartsock actually saw more catches in the final two weeks than Troupe, but that's not saying a lot. Hartsock had two catches backing up Scaife and Troupe didn't even record a catch. Hartsock might split time with Troupe, but is merely a low-end Fantasy option in playoff formats. He likely will have little to no Fantasy value come Draft Day 2008.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock matched his best yardage total of the season in Week 16 when he caught one pass for 27 yards in Tennessee's 10-6 win over the New York Jets.
Analysis: Hartsock is a little-used option in the Titans offense and shouldn't start in any Fantasy leagues in Week 17 against the Colts.
News: The following Titans did not record an offensive statistic in Week 15 at Kansas City: QB Kerry Collins, TE Bo Scaife, TE Ben Hartsock, WR Chris Davis, RB Chris Barclay, FB Jeremy Cain, WR Biren Ealy, TE Ben Troupe.
Analysis: None of the players on this list are in a position to help your Fantasy team. Leave them on the waiver wire until further notice.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock caught two passes for 6 yards vs. San Diego in Week 14.
Analysis: Hartsock is currently not far enough up the team's depth chart to matter in Fantasy play. Leave him on the waiver wire until further notice. The Titans play at Kansas City in Week 15.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock did not have any stats in Week 13 vs. Houston.
Analysis: Hartsock is not in a position where he can help Fantasy owners. Leave him on the waiver wire.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock caught one pass for 27 yards at Cincinnati in Week 12.
Analysis: Hartsock is not reliable for many stats week in and week out. Don't use him vs. Houston in Week 13.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock and QB Kerry Collins didn't record statistics Week 11 at Denver.
Analysis: Hartsock starts, but he blocks more than he catches passes. Collins doesn't start unless Vince Young succumbs to injury. Neither deserves consideration in Fantasy for Week 12 at Cincinnati.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock caught one pass for nine yards in Week 10 vs. Jacksonville.
Analysis: Hartsock is a secondary tight end on a poor pass offense. Leave him on the waiver wire until further notice.
News: Titans backup TE Ben Hartsock caught one pass for 11 yards in Tennessee's 20-7 win over Carolina in Week 9.
Analysis: Hartsock is a backup TE. Enough said. The Titans host the Jaguars in Week 10.
News: Notable Titans from Week 8 who were active and dressed but didn't record an offensive stat include: TE Ben Hartsock, WR Chris Davis, RB Quinton Ganther, FB Casey Cramer, TE Ben Troupe and backup QB Kerry Collins.
Analysis: None of these players should be considered reliable Fantasy options in any given week. The Titans host the Panthers in Week 9.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock caught two passes for 12 yards at Houston in Week 7.
Analysis: Hartsock isn't a reliable Fantasy option based on his limited statistics. Don't reach for him in Fantasy play. The Titans host the Raiders in Week 8.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock caught a 16-yard pass Week 6 at Tampa Bay.
Analysis: Hartsock, the former Indianapolis Colts backup, is only worth a look in the deepest of Fantasy leagues at this point. The Titans visit the Texans in Week 7.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock caught one pass for seven yards Week 5 against the Falcons.
Analysis: Hartsock, the former Indianapolis Colts backup, is only worth a look in the deepest of Fantasy leagues at this point. The Titans visit the Buccaneers in Week 6.
News: Ben Hartsock started at tight end in Week 3 at New Orleans and finished with one reception for just two yards.
Analysis: Hartsock, the former Indianapolis Colts backup, is only worth a look in the deepest of Fantasy leagues at this point. The Titans are on a bye in Week 4 before returning to face the Falcons in Week 5.
News: Notable Titans from Week 2 vs. Indianapolis who were active and dressed but didn't record an offensive stat include: Backup QB Kerry Collins, TE Ben Troupe, FB Ahmard Hall and TE Ben Hartsock.
Analysis: None of these players shouldn't be considered for Fantasy use anytime soon, including Troupe. The Titans play at New Orleans on Monday night in Week 3 action.
News: WR Roydell Williams was among the Titans who was active and dressed but did not record any offensive stats in Week 1. Other Titans included: QB Kerry Collins, TE Ben Troupe and TE Ben Hartsock.
Analysis: Williams has some upside but came up short in this game. Expect him to produce limited stats for the short term (if not the long term) since the Titans WR corps is still unsettled. The rest of these players shouldn't be considered for Fantasy use anytime soon, including Troupe.
News: In an interview with CBS SportsLine, Titans offensive coordinator Norm Chow stressed the importance of tight end play and hopes one of his key TEs -- Bo Scaife, Ben Troupe and Ben Hartsock -- steps up this year. "We need them to be effective," Chow said about his tight ends. "Scaife is a good, solid player. We can play him at any spot we want to -- fullback, halfback, tight end, wide receiver. He gives us some flexibility. He's a smaller version of what people try to do with Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez and those kinds of guys. Troupe is an absolute player; when you think about coaching in the NFL, that's the kind of guy you think about coaching. He's 280 pounds, runs like a receiver, he's tall and is a nice young man. We just haven't had the productivity out of him that we need to get."
Analysis: Chow added that the team may add plays to the playbook designed for Troupe. Last year, Titans tight ends totaled 51 of the team's 226 receptions (22.5 percent), a number that Chow wants to increase this season. However, because Scaife and Troupe are not known for producing big numbers, neither one, nor Hartsock, should be considered in Fantasy drafts. If anything, Troupe is an athletic sleeper who could put up Kellen Winslow-type numbers if he could stay healthy and keep his head in the game.
News: The Titans have waived TE Erron Kinney, who missed all of the 2006 season with a knee injury. The team also tendered the following restricted free agents: C Eugene Amano, G Jacob Bell, TE Ben Hartsock, LB Robert Reynolds and DT Randy Starks. DT Tony Brown, TE Casey Cramer and DT Marcus White were also tendered exclusive rights deals, and they're not eligible to leave the team at this point.
Analysis: Kinney was once a solid fill-in Fantasy TE, but that was years ago. None of the players listed above will help anyone win a Fantasy Championship in 2007.
News: Titans WRs Drew Bennett (four rec., 75 yards), Brandon Jones (53-yard catch), Bobby Wade (four rec., 33 yards), Roydell Williams (two rec., 32 yards), TE Ben Hartsock (two rec., 28 yards) and FB Ahmard Hall (3-yard catch) did not reach the end zone in Week 17 vs. New England.
Analysis: Of these receivers, Bennett and Jones are the most likely to be drafted, Bennett as a middle- to late-round pick and Jones as a late-round flier, in 2007 Fantasy league play. The rest of these guys could be replaced or set in their roles for next season.
News: Titans TE Ben Hartsock had two catches for 15 yards in a Week 16 win over the Bills.
Analysis: Hartsock is not a recommended Fantasy option for Week 17 against the Patriots. He might not be with the Titans for the 2007 season, so it is safe to ignore him in the offseason.
News: Notable Titans players from Week 16 at Buffalo include: RB LenDale White (16 rush yards, 17 receiving yards), WR Courtney Roby (3-yard rush), FB Ahmard Hall (28 receiving yards) and TE Ben Hartsock (15 yards receiving).
Analysis: None of these players should be used vs. New England in Week 17. White has some keeper potential for the future.
News: Notable Titans players who were active and dressed but didn't record an offensive statistic in Week 15 vs. Jacksonville include: WR Brandon Jones, TE Ben Hartsock, FB Ahmard Hall, TE Casey Cramer, WR Courtney Roby, RB Chris Brown and backup QB Kerry Collins.
Analysis: None of these players should be on Fantasy Football rosters, though Jones is attractive in long-term keeper leagues.
News: Notable Titans performers from Week 14 at Houston include: RB Chris Brown (44 rush yards), CB Pacman Jones (1 rush yard; four tackles and a sack on defense), FB Ahmard Hall (minus-1 yard rushing, 29 receiving yards, fumble), WR Brandon Jones (33 receiving yards), WR Bobby Wade (17 receiving yards), TE Ben Hartsock (9-yard catch), TE Bo Scaife (8 receiving yards) and TE Casey Cramer (2 receiving yards).
Analysis: Brandon Jones and Bo Scaife are low-end options in Fantasy play, but for the most part these players can be ignored in standard Fantasy play. The Titans play vs. Jacksonville in Week 15.
News: Titans DL Antwan Odom (knee) is out, while TE Ben Hartsock (hamstring), DL Josh Savage (hamstring) and DL Robaire Smith (hamstring) are listed as questionable for Week 14 at Houston.
Analysis: None of these players should be used for Fantasy purposes in Week 14.
News: Notable Titans players who helped in their Week 13 win vs. Indy include: RB LenDale White (35 rush yards, 2-yard catch), RB Ahmard Hall (13 rush yards, 20 receiving yards), TE Bo Scaife (31 receiving yards), WR Courtney Roby (21-yard catch), WR Bobby Wade (18-yard catch), TE Ben Hartsock (16-yard catch) and a 17-yard catch for Pacman Jones (who also had eight total tackles).
Analysis: Most of these players are fringe or low-end options in Fantasy play, though Scaife and Wade are definite sleepers for Week 14 at Houston. Jones should remain used only in IDP leagues; White should be owned in all keeper leagues.
News: Titans backup QB Kerry Collins, TE Ben Harstock, TE Casey Cramer and WR Courtney Roby did not record an offensive statistic in Week 12 vs. the N.Y. Giants.
Analysis: None of these players should be in your active Fantasy lineup or roster until further notice.
News: The Tennessee Titans placed tight end Ben Troupe on injured reserve Wednesday with a broken right ankle, leaving the team without two of its top tight ends. The Titans placed veteran Erron Kinney on injured reserve on Oct. 13 after he needed further knee surgery. Troupe broke his right ankle on a touchdown catch in Sunday's 31-13 victory at Philadelphia and continued playing until swelling forced him to the bench. Troupe's spot in the offense likely will be filled by Ben Hartsock, claimed off waivers from Indianapolis on Oct. 25. Hartsock practiced with the team for the first time a week ago. "He's been here," coach Jeff Fisher said. "Despite the fact that he hasn't been on the practice field, he has been in the meetings and has been paying attention, so he's very comfortable with the system and what we're doing."
Analysis: Hartsock has a total of six receptions in three seasons, all with the Colts in 2004 and 2005. He is not a viable Fantasy option at this time. He is listed as questionable for Week 12 vs. N.Y. Giants.
News: The Titans inactives for Week 11 against Philadelphia are DB Reynaldo Hill, RB Chris Brown, TE Ben Hartsock, WR Jonathan Orr, DL Travis LaBoy, DL Josh Savage and DL Antwan Odom.
Analysis: Keep all these players reserved for Week 11.

Analysis: None of these players are recommended Fantasy options for Week 11.
News: The Nashville Tennessean reports Ben Hartsock (hamstring) will be listed as questionable for Week 11 at Philadelphia.
Analysis: When healthy, Hartsock is not a recommended Fantasy option in any leagues.
News: Notable Titans inactive for Week 10 vs. Baltimore include: RB Chris Brown, CB Eric King, TE Ben Hartsock, TE Casey Cramer, WR Jonathan Orr, WR Roydell Williams, DE Josh Savage and DE Antwan Odom.
Analysis: Keep these players reserved for Fantasy purposes in Week 10.
News: Titans DL Antwan Odom (knee) is out, while TE Casey Cramer (concussion), LB Robert Reynolds (quad), DE DeQuincy Scott (foot) and TE Ben Hartsock (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 10 vs. Baltimore.
Analysis: None of these players are recommended Fantasy options for Week 10.
News: Notable inactives for Week 9's TEN-JAC game include Titans RB Chris Brown, CB Pacman Jones, TE Ben Hartsock, LB Rob Reynolds, WR Jonathan Orr, WR David Givens and DE Antwan Odom. WR Brandon Jones will start for Givens. For Jacksonville, QB Byron Leftwich (No. 3 QB), CB Terry Cousin, RB LaBrandon Toefield, CB Ahmad Carroll, RB Derrick Wimbush, DE Brent Hawkins and DT Marcus Stroud are inactive. David Garrard will start at QB.
Analysis: Armed with this information, keep all inactive players off Fantasy rosters.
News: Titans DE Antwan Odom (knee) is out, while DE DeQuincy Scott (foot), DL Randy Starks (chest), WR Roydell Williams (finger) and TE Ben Hartsock (hamstring) are listed as questionable for Week 9 at Jacksonville.
Analysis: None of these players are strong Fantasy options at this time.
News: Colts TE Ben Hartsock (hamstring) was placed on Injured Reserve before the team's Week 3 game vs. Jacksonville.
Analysis: Hartsock will not play in 2006. He should not be on any Fantasy rosters.
News: Notable inactives for the Colts in Week 3 vs. Jacksonville include: PK Adam Vinatieri, FS Bob Sanders, CB Kelvin Hayden, RB De De Dorsey, LB Tyjuan Hagler, TE Ben Hartsock (who was placed on IR), WR Brandon Stokley, DE Josh Thomas and DT Corey Simon.
Analysis: Vinatieri, Stokley and Sanders are notable Fantasy names, but the rest are not worth owning for Fantasy use.
News: According to IndianapolisColts.com, head coach Tony Dungy said the Colts will be without the services of many key players Sunday vs. Jacksonville including WR Brandon Stokley and DB Bob Sanders. Tight end Ben Hartsock, defensive tackle Corey Simon and defensive end Josh Thomas were also downgraded from questionable to out for Week 3.
Analysis: Now that it is official, make sure to remove these players from your active lineup for Week 3. Stokley and Sanders are key losses. Colts QB Peyton Manning will now probably need to rely more on Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne to help move the offense. Also, TE Dallas Clark and WR Aaron Moorehead could get more involved in the offense. On the defensive side of the ball, Sanders was a key player in the secondary and Jags QB Byron Leftwich now might have an easier time attacking the Colts pass defense. Use caution with playing the Colts DST on Sunday.
News: Here is a list of the Colts' inactives vs. Houston: DL Corey Simon, DB Tim Jennings, RB DeDe Dorsey, LB Freddie Keiaho, LB Tyjuan Hagler, TE Ben Hartsock and DE Josh Thomas.
Analysis: Keep all these players reserved in Week 2.
News: Colts TE Ben Hartsock (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 2 vs. Houston. He has not practiced since he incurred a strained hamstring during training camp, but may be allowed to do some work later this week or possibly early next week.
Analysis: It doesn't sound like Hartsock will play soon. When healthy, the former Ohio State product is only worth a look off of the waiver wire if Dallas Clark is ever forced to miss any time.
News: Colts TE Ben Hartstock, who has not practiced since he incurred a strained hamstring during training camp, may be allowed to do some work later this week or possibly early next week.
Analysis: It doesn't sound like Hartsock will play soon. When healthy, the former Ohio State product is only worth a look off of the waiver wire if Dallas Clark is ever forced to miss any time.
News: The Indianapolis Colts announced DB Tim Jennings (ankle), RB DeDe Dorsey (ankle), LB Freddie Keiaho, LB Tyjuan Hagler, OG Ryan Lilja, TE Ben Hartsock (hamstring), WR Brandon Stokley (ankle) and DT Corey Simon (knee) are inactive for Week 1 at N.Y. Giants.
Analysis: Only Stokley is worth using on a regular basis in Fantasy leagues this season. The Colts host Houston in their home opener in Week 2.
News: The Colts have kept the following players listed as questionable for Week 1: DL Montae Reagor (knee), LB Freddie Keiaho (knee), TE Ben Hartsock (hamstring), DB Nick Harper (ankle), DB Mike Doss (calf). Keiaho and Hartsock didn't practice this week.
Analysis: Only Harper (8 percent) and Doss (6 percent) are owned in CBS SportsLine Fantasy leagues. Harper returned to practice Thursday and Friday, while Reagor and Doss were able to practice all week. Consider them viable options out of desperation, while the other players above are not expected to impact any Fantasy leagues.
News: Ben Hartsock (hamstring) missed Friday's preseason finale vs. Cincinnati.
Analysis: When healthy, the former Ohio State product is only worth a look off of the waiver wire if Dallas Clark is ever forced to miss any time.
News: Ben Hartsock (hamstring) was inactive for Saturday's preseason game at New Orleans.
Analysis: When healthy, the former Ohio State product is only worth a look off of the waiver wire if Dallas Clark's concussion suffered on Saturday turns out to be a long-term issue.
