Jaguars K Josh Scobee endures rough outing vs. Miami

(10/26/2014) Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee had a rough outing in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins in Week 8.

Scobee had his first kick blocked by Olivier Vernon on the opening drive of the game. He bounced back with a 30-yard kick in the second quarter and a 40-yard kick in the third quarter. He converted 2 of 3 field goal attempts and added two extra points in a 27-13 defeat.

(10/19/2014) Jaguars placekicker Josh Scobee was called upon to kick one field field in Week 7 against Cleveland - and he booted it through from 30 yards out. He was also perfect on three extra point attempts to aid in the team's first victory of the season.

(10/12/2014) Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee missed his only field-goal attempt Sunday, as he had a potential game-winning 55-yard field goal blocked with 12 seconds remaining to salt away his team's 16-14 Week 6 loss to the Titans.

Scobee had a defender rush around the edge and get a hand on the ball for a deflection to end the Jaguars' hopes of a comeback win. It's the second blocked kick of the season for Scobee, who is 0 for 2 from 50 yards or more this season and 6 of 9 overall. He'll square off with the Browns in Week 7.

(10/5/2014) Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee kicked a season-high three field goals during a 17-9 loss Week 5 vs. Pittsburgh. Scobee made field goals of 35, 36 and 43 yards in the loss.

The nine points were a season high for Scobee, who was 3 for 5 on field goals entering Week 5. The Jaguars are back in action Week 6 at Tennessee.

Scobee was able to hit two extra point attempts, but that was it. The Jaguars weren't able to put much together on offense, and Scobee didn't have an opportunity to hit from a distance. He'll look for more Week 5 against the Steelers.

Scobee didn't get an opportunity until 5:17 was left in the third quarter. He managed to hit from 41 yards out. Scobee also nailed both his extra point attempts. He'll take on the Chargers Week 4.

Scobee nailed his lone field-goal attempt in the game, from 36 yards, and was also good on his only point-after touchdown. He is now 2 for 4 on field-goal attempts on the season, heading into Week 3 against the Colts.

(8/28/2014) Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley closed his postgame press conference by noting that injured kicker Josh Scobee should be back for the season opener against the Eagles in Philadelphia Sept. 7, per the team's official website. Scobee suffered a quad injury on Aug. 22 against the Lions in preseason and wasn't able to play Thursday against Atlanta.

(8/22/2014) Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee suffered a quad injury Friday night against the Lions in preseason action. He likely suffered the injury while converting a 38-yard field goal in the first quarter. The team has not revealed the extent of the injury, though he was unable to return.

Scobee hit a 37 yard field goal in the second quarter, but did not receive any other opportunites. He had one extra point attempt. Jacksonville only scored 10 points, so Scobee was not much of a factor.

(12/15/2013) Jaguars S Josh Evans, LB Geno Hayes, DT Roy Miller, OL Uche Nwaneri, OL Austin Pasztor, S Chris Prosinski, K Josh Scobee and RB Jordan Todman are active Week 15 against the Bills.

With Maurice Jones-Drew inactive, Todman should see the majority of the work at running back. Scobee is dealing with a hip injury, but should be good to kick.

(12/13/2013) The Jaguars list eight probables among the 11 players on their Friday injury report.

The four defensive probables are safeties Chris Prosinski (conucssion) and Josh Evans (shoulder), linebacker Geno Hayes (knee) and tackle Roy Miller (shoulder).

The others are offensive linemen Austin Pasztor and Uche Nwaneri, both with shoulder injuries, running back Jordan Todman (shoulder) and placekicker Josh Scobee (hip).

Todman is expected to start if Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring) cannot overcome his doubtful tag to play.

(12/6/2013) Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee had another solid game in Week 14 against the Texans, as he racked up nine points in 27-20 win. Scobee connected on a pair of field goals in the game, from 39 and 40 yards, while adding three successful extra-point attempts.

Scobee has missed just two field goals this season, as he is now 19 of 21 heading into Week 15 against the Bills.

(11/24/2013) Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee finished with seven points during a 13-6 win Week 12 at Houston. Scobee converted 2 of 3 field goals and made his lone extra-point attempt.

Scobee made a 30-yard field goal in the second quarter and a 53-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Scobee's only missed kick came when J.J. Watt blocked a 49-yard field goal in the third quarter.

The Jaguars are back in action Week 13 at Cleveland.

(11/17/2013) Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee finished with two points during a 27-14 loss Week 11 vs. Arizona. Scobee missed his only field goal attempt and made two extra points.

Scobee attempted a 60-yard field goal right before halftime, but he pushed it wide left. It was the first time since Week 1 Scobee didn't make a field goal. Sunday was also the first time he missed a field goal this season, as he came into Week 11 a perfect 12 for 12.

The Jaguars are back in action Week 12 at Houston.
