Rams sticking with C Scott Wells despite bad snaps

(12/22/2014) Rams coach Jeff Fisher said he is sticking with center Scott Wells despite two errant shotgun snaps in Sunday's loss to the Giants, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Wells has played with an elbow brace since hurting his elbow Oct. 26.

"We're gonna go forward with Scott," Fisher told the paper. "Scott does a good job inside communicating, identifying things, getting protections called."


Rams list three players probable for Week 16

(12/19/2014) The Rams enter Week 16 against the Giants relatively healthy, listing only three players on its final injury report. Guard Davin Joseph (not injury related), defensive end Chris Long (ankle) and center Scott Wells (not injury related) were all deemed probable.

Kenny Britt and James Laurinaitis are two of the bigger names on the list. Britt was listed on the injury report, though his issue was not injury related. Laurinaitis is dealing with an ankle injury.

The team will also have Cory Harkey, Will Herring, Rodger Saffold and Scott Wells. All four players came into the contest listed as probable. 


Chris Long questionable on final Rams' Week 15 injury report

(12/10/2014) Rams defensive end Chris Long was listed as questionable to play Thursday on the team's final injury report for Week 15's matchup with the Cardinals.

"He was OK," Rams coach Jeff Fisher told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch after practice. "We'll see how he is in the warmups tomorrow, but we're very optimistic about it."

The rest of the Rams' injured players were listed as probable after participating fully in practice Wednesday. That list includes center Scott Wells (elbow), guard Rodger Saffold (shoulder), linebacker James Laurinaitis (ankle), defensive tackle Alex Carrington (thigh), linebacker Will Herring (foot), tight end Cory Harkey (knee) and receiver Kenny Britt (not injury related).


Tavon Austin among probables for Rams in Week 14

(12/5/2014) Rams wide receiver Tavon Austin was a late addition to the Rams’ Week 14 injury report. Austin practiced in full Wednesday and Thursday, but was a limited participant Friday with a back injury.

Along with Austin, the Rams also listed the following players as probable for Sunday’s game against the Redskins: William Hayes, James Laurinaitis, Chris Long, Rodger Saffold, Scott Wells, Will Herring, Marcus Roberson and Davin Joseph.

(11/28/2014) The Rams unveiled a lengthy injury report which included 14 players on the list for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Rookie cornerback Marcus Roberson (ankle) was unable to practice all week and was the only player on the report ruled as doubtful. Defensive end Eugene Sims missed practice all week due to a death in the family, but is expected to play, per the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He was deemed as probable. Defensive back Lamarcus Joyner (groin) and defensive tackle Alex Carrington (thigh) are questionable.

Meanwhile, the following players were designated as probable: Center Scott Wells (rest), defensive end Robert Quinn (rest) and guard Davin Joseph (rest), linebacker James Laurinaitis (ankle), wide receiver Kenny Britt (back), cornerback E.J. Gaines (knee), tight end Cory Harkey (thigh), tight end Jared Cook (back), linebacker Will Herring (foot) and linebacker Alec Ogletree


Rams' Donald, Dunbar, McLeod active Week 9

(11/2/2014) Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald (shoulder), linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar (toe) and safety Rodney McLeod (knee) are active for Sunday's Week 9 matchup with the 49ers.

All three players were listed as questionable to play but will be available for the divisional matchup. The team also had nine players listed as probable, and eight are active for the game. That list includes wide receiver Kenny Britt (hip), guard Rodger Saffold (shoulder), centers Scott Wells (elbow) and Tim Barnes (shoulder), defensive end William Hayes (foot), safety Lamarcus Joyner (hip) and cornerbacks Trumaine Johnson (knee) and Marcus Roberson (ankle).

(10/31/2014) The Rams have listed DE William Hayes, OG Rodger Saffold, C Scott Wells, S Cody Davis, CB Trumaine Johnson, C Tim Barnes, CB Marcus Roberson and DB Lamarcus Joyner as probable for Week 9 against the 49ers. 

All eight players were able to get through full practice Friday. Saffold is dealing with a shoulder injury. Wells has an elbow issues. Johnson has been battling a knee injury.

Barrett Jones (back) has been ruled out for the game, while Rodger Saffold (illness) is probable after sitting out Thursday's practice session. Scott Wells is also probable, though his absence from practice was not related to any injuries.

(3/5/2014) Rams starting center Scott Wells was considered a possible cap casualty at one point, but indications are Wells will be back on the team in 2014, reports ESPN's Adam Caplan. Wells, 33, is owed $5.5 million this year and is scheduled to count $6.5 million against the cap.

Injuries limited him to 19 games the past two seasons.

McGee was the only player listed on the team's injury report entering the game. He was questionable due to a foot injury.

The Rams will play the Cardinals in Week 14. No word on his status for that game.

While Stewart and McGee did not practice Thursday, both were able to fully participate Friday. Both Long and Wells practiced in full both days.

(10/26/2013) The St. Louis Rams posted the official injury report for the Week 8 Monday night game against Seattle on Saturday. Among those having issues practicing due to injuries were CB Cortland Finnegan (hamstring), C Scott Wells (thigh) and RB Benny Cunningham (ankle).

All three players listed above are considered questionable to play in the game against Seattle and will be game-time decisions for the Rams.
