News: The Ravens signed TE Jonathan Stupar and TE/FB Kris Wilson and released S Eugene Clifford and S Michael Ricks on Monday.
Analysis: Most of these players are just roster depth for Baltimore and can be ignored in Fantasy until further notice.
News: The Chargers released veterans DB Donald Strickland, LB Brandon Lang, WR Buster Davis, FB Kris Wilson and LB Jyles Tucker on Thursday, according to a team report.
Analysis: Wilson got some use as a tight end last year, but not enough to warrant much Fantasy attention. Owners should continue to ignore him.
News: The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Chargers TE Antonio Gates, who is listed as questionable with a foot injury for Monday night's game against Denver, could try to play against the Broncos. The paper reports that "indications are that he will try to play." Gates did not practice all week leading up to the Week 11 game. The Chargers could need Gates with third-string TE Kris Wilson dealing with a bad back. The Chargers signed TE Kory Sperry off the practice squad Monday since Wilson was also limited in practice Thursday and Friday and did not practice Saturday. He is also listed as questionable. If Gates is out then Randy McMichael would start against the Broncos.
Analysis: Wilson has minimal Fantasy value even if he does play and Gates is out. Ignore Wilson in all leagues for Week 11 against Denver.
News: Chargers TE Kris Wilson had one catch for 37 yards Sunday at Houston in Week 9. It was his lone target of the game. Wilson was the No. 2 TE against the Texans behind Randy McMichael with Antonio Gates (foot) out.
Analysis: Wilson has minimal Fantasy value even with Gates out. The Chargers have a bye in Week 10 before facing Denver in Week 11. Ignore Wilson in the majority of leagues.
News: Chargers TE Kris Wilson had one reception in Week 7 against the Patriots but he fumbled it away. Wilson caught a 9-yard pass from Philip Rivers, but Wilson coughed up the ball deep in San Diego territory. The Patriots were able to capitalize and get a touchdown off it. He finished with one reception for 9 yards in the 23-20 loss.
Analysis: Wilson has been a career backup and he showed why on Sunday. He doesn't produce consistently enough to warrant any Fantasy value. Ignore him in all formats at this point.
News: Chargers TE Kris Wilson picked up his first two catches of the season in the Week 5 loss at Oakland. Wilson, who was targeted by QB Philip Rivers twice, caught two passes for 17 yards.
Analysis: Wilson has been a career backup and is not someone who is expected to pick up Fantasy statistics on a weekly basis. He can be ignored in Fantasy for Week 6 at St. Louis and beyond.
News: The Chargers bolstered an already-talented group of tight ends Thursday by signing free agent Randy McMichael to a one-year contract. "Randy has been a targeted player for us for some time now," GM A.J. Smith said. "With the departure of Brandon (Manumaleuna) to the Bears, we wanted to sign another veteran. We were hoping that would be Randy. We're happy it all worked out. We just thought it made good football sense to add a player like Randy. He brings veteran experience and added leadership to our team." The nine-year veteran started all but one of the 116 games he played for the Dolphins and Rams since he entered the league in 2002. The 6-foot-3, 246 pound McMichael played under Norv Turner when the Chargers' head coach was the offensive coordinator in Miami in 2002-03. "We're excited to add Randy to the team," Turner said. "He brings experience and added depth to the tight end position." McMichael caught at least 60 passes in three consecutive seasons with the Dolphins in 2004-06, amassing 2,013 yards and 12 touchdowns in that span. He joins a group that already includes the NFL's top pass-catching tight end, Antonio Gates, as well as returning veteran Kris Wilson, seventh-round draft pick Dedrick Epps and undrafted rookie Richie Brockel.
Analysis: Wilson will compete with McMichael for playing time as the No. 2 TE in San Diego behind Gates. We expect McMichael to win the job, but neither TE has much Fantasy value. The same goes for Epps, who will struggle to make the final roster. Ignore all three tight ends on Draft Day in all leagues.
News: The Chargers kept one of their backup tight ends but lost another on the first day of free agency. Kris Wilson, the team's third tight end the past two years, has apparently moved up the depth chart. He re-signed with the Chargers, agreeing to a two-year deal. His ascension to No. 2 behind Antonio Gates owes more to Brandon Manumaleuna signing a five-year deal with the Bears.
Analysis: Wilson has minimal Fantasy value since his best skill will be as a blocker and on special teams. Ignore him in all leagues on Draft Day.
News: Chargers TE Kris Wilson made one reception in the Week 17 regular-season finale against Washington. The catch went for 3 yards. Wilson left the game with a hamstring injury that wasn't immediately considered serious.
Analysis: Wilson has minimal Fantasy value in San Diego. We would not consider him worth looking at on Draft Day 2010.
News: Chargers TE Kris Wilson caught one pass for 2 yards in Week 15 against Cincinnati. It was his only touch of the game.
Analysis: Wilson is too low on the depth chart to make a significant contribution in Fantasy. Leave him on waivers.
News: Chargers TE Kris Wilson had one catch for 21 yards during a Week 14 win against the Cowboys. He was targeted twice in the game. It was Wilson's second catch of the season.
Analysis: Wilson gets a cold tag because he has only two catches in 13 games. He used to figure more prominently on offense during his days in Kansas City. In San Diego, he is merely a backup option and hardly factors on offense. Ignore Wilson heading into Week 15 against the Bengals.
News: Chargers TE Brandon Manumaleuna, WR Kassim Osgood, TE Kris Wilson and QB Billy Volek didn't record offensive statistics Week 13 at Cleveland.
Analysis: None of these players ever contributes enough statistically to make an impact in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers.

Analysis: None of these players ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers.
News: Chargers QB Philip Rivers' touchdown pass to Kris Wilson, which followed a short punt by Jeff Feagles, gave San Diego a 14-7 third-quarter lead during a Week 9 win against the Giants. The touchdown was Wilson's lone catch, but he was targeted three times.
Analysis: Wilson had no catches in his first seven games, so you can tell how much of a role he plays in the offense. Wilson has just five catches in 60 career games and usually doesn't stat on a weekly basis. Despite the score, Wilson has no Fantasy appeal heading into Week 10 against the Eagles.
News: Chargers TE Brandon Manumaleuna, RB Michael Bennett, WR Kassim Osgood, TE Kris Wilson and QB Billy Volek didn't record offensive statistics Week 8 against the Raiders.
Analysis: None of these players ever does enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave them all on waivers.

News: Chargers receiver Legedu Naanee, WR Kassim Osgood, FB Brandon Manumaleuna, TE Kris Wilson and QB Billy Volek all received no stats on Monday night against the Broncos despite being active for the game. Only Volek did not get off the bench.
Analysis: Naanee doesn't catch the ball enough to warrant Fantasy use and the same goes for the rest of the players listed above. You can leave them all on waivers for Week 7 at Kansas City.
News: Chargers FB Jacob Hester, FB Mike Tolbert, RB Michael Bennett, WR Malcom Floyd, WR Kassim Osgood, TE Brandon Manumaleuna, TE Kris Wilson and backup QB Billy Volek all dressed but failed to record an offensive stat Week 4 at Pittsburgh. Hester did score a touchdown, but it was on a fumble return on special teams and not on offense.
Analysis: Most of these players are backups for the Chargers and are not a big part of the offensive scheme. They have little to no Fantasy value heading into the team's Week 6 game vs. the Broncos (they're on bye in Week 5).

News:Malcom Floyd, Brandon Manumaleuna, Jacob Hester, Kassim Osgood and Kris Wilson did not record relevant Fantasy stats Week 1 against the Raiders.

News: In the Chargers' win at Tampa Bay in Week 16, TE Kris Wilson, backup QB Billy Volek, FB Mike Tolbert and FB Jacob Hester were active but didn't record any stats.

Analysis: None of the players on this list should be considered viable Fantasy option. They are not in a position to contribute regular stats as they aren't in line for regular playing time. They've got some depth chart climbing to do and should be left on the waiver wire.
News: The Chargers listed the following players as inactive for Week 10 vs. Kansas City: Charlie White (third QB), Anthony Waters, Derek Smith, Kynan Forney, Corey Clark, Buster Davis, Kris Wilson and Ian Scott.
Analysis: None of the players on this list should be considered viable Fantasy option. They are not in a position to contribute regular stats as they aren't in line for regular playing time. They've got some depth chart climbing to do and should be left on the waiver wire.

News: The Chargers released fullback Andrew Pinnock on Monday and signed tight end Kris Wilson to take his place. The Chargers needed a tight end after Scott Chandler sustained a season-ending toe injury in the exhibition finale Friday night in San Francisco.
Analysis: Wilson had 24 catches for 180 yards and one touchdown last season with Kansas City. He was cut by Philadelphia Saturday. Obviously, he doesn't have the stats to warrant use in Fantasy.
News: The Eagles are down to 53 men on their roster and among the biggest names cut Saturday was 2003 first-round draft pick DL Jerome McDougle. The Eagles other cuts were: CB Kyle Arrington, FB Jed Collins, FB Jason Davis, WR Michael Gasperson, DT Mike Marquardt, WR Shaheer McBride, DT Montae Reagor, LB Justin Roland, LB Andy Studebaker and TE Kris Wilson.
Analysis: McDougle was supposed to do big things in Philly, but will leave the Eagles with just 33 games played in five years and no starts. McDougle was not supposed to be a Fantasy contributor this season. The rest of the players cut may or may not catch on elsewhere but all will not put up enough Fantasy stats this season to be considered valuable. Ignore them.
News: The Delaware News Journal reports that newly signed TE Kris Wilson has not performed up to par in training camp with the Eagles and is on the bubble to make the team. "He and [Matt] Schobel are competing," coach Andy Reid said of Wilson. "Schobel is having a good camp, as is Kris. It's good competition at a tough position."
Analysis: This is a battle for the No. 3 TE job with the Eagles, and one that as a Fantasy owner you shouldn't get worked up about. Wilson shouldn't be on any Fantasy rosters at this time.
News: New Eagles TE Kris Wilson is excited about going from fullback to tight end again, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer. Wilson, a second-round pick by the Chiefs in 2004, considers himself a tight end who learned how to play fullback. He was thrust into a starting role at fullback last season with the Chiefs when Ronnie Cruz suffered a knee injury, but he said he never stopped practicing at tight end. Wilson thrived at tight end during his college days at Pittsburgh, scoring nine touchdowns as a senior in 2003 and 15 in his collegiate career. Wilson will compete with Matt Schobel for a job and with Brent Celek for playing time, but right now he is learning the offense.
Analysis: Don't plan on drafting Wilson in any Fantasy leagues in 2008. He won't make much of an impact on your roster even if he makes the Eagles team this year.
News: The Eagles signed TE Kris Wilson to a contract on Wednesday. Wilson, who was a fullback in Kansas City, will assume a reserve TE role with Philadelphia. "I think that my skill set definitely allows for more success at tight end," Wilson said.
Analysis: Wilson had three carries for 7 yards and caught 24 passes for 180 yards and one touchdown last season. Smith were to miss significant playing time.

News: Chiefs TE Kris Wilson had three catches for 18 yards in Week 15 vs. Tennessee, including a 9-yard touchdown pass.

News: Chiefs TE Kris Wilson caught one pass for 1 yard vs. the Raiders in Week 12.

News: Chiefs TE Kris Wilson, TE Jason Dunn, RB Kolby Smith, RB Boomer Grigsby and QB Brodie Croyle didn't record meaningful statistics in Week 6 against the Bengals.
Analysis: Croyle might replace starter Damon Huard at some point, but these other players probably won't make a Fantasy impact without a rash of injuries. Keep all on waivers for Week 7 at the Raiders.
News: Notable Chiefs from Week 5 vs. Jacksonville include: RB Michael Bennett (minus-2 yards rushing), TE Kris Wilson (31 receiving yards), WR Jeff Webb (26 receiving yards) and rookie RB Kolby Smith (21 yards receiving).

News: Chiefs TE Kris Wilson, TE Jason Dunn, RB Dee Brown, WR Jeff Webb, TE Kendall Gammon, WR Rod Gardner and QB Damon Huard all dressed but recorded no offensive stats in Week 11 against Oakland.
Analysis: None of the players mentioned have minimal Fantasy value for Week 12 against Denver.
News: ESPNEWS reported that Chiefs TE Tony Gonzalez (shoulder) will miss 2-to-3 weeks. Gonzalez sprained his shoulder at Miami in Week 10. Jason Dunn and Kris Wilson are expected to divvy up his duties in the interim.
Analysis: Between the two of them, Wilson is the more athletic tight end. He has just eight catches for 69 yards on the season, but his two receiving TDs are tied for second best on the team. Wilson is worth snagging as a stopgap TE for those owners who have Gonzalez and are forced to bench him. Dunn probably shouldn't be owned in leagues as he's more of a blocker than a receiver.

News: Chiefs TE Kris Wilson made his first two catches of the season last Sunday, which was one more than Tony Gonzalez made. The Chiefs have been extensively using two-tight end sets and in passing situations. Wilson, the undersized and athletic third-year man whom the Chiefs have been trying to fit into the offense for three years now, gives them more speed than TE Jason Dunn. Wilson (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 6 at Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Make no bones about it, Gonzalez is still the primary TE in Kansas City. It won't happen on many occassions that he won't be the leader in catches by Chiefs tight ends. Wilson is not a recommended Fantasy tight end for Week 6 at Pittsburgh.

News: Wilson has been impressive in camp early on and an injury to Billy Baber (knee) might open up the door for more opportunities early on.
Analysis: Wilson is not yet worth adding to a Fantasy roster, but any long-term injury to Tony Gonzalez would warrant consideration.
News: According to published reports, Kris Wilson has been one the stars of the Chiefs training camp so far.
Analysis: As long as Tony Gonzalez is able to play, Wilson shouldn't make too much of a splash during his rookie season. He is one to keep an eye on for the furture however.
