News: The Titans have signed safety George Wilson, The Tennessean reports. The Bills had let Wilson go on Feb. 11. He's expected to compete for a starting job. "George is a quality veteran player," Titans general manager Ruston Webster said. "He will contribute for us on the field, but his contributions also will come off the field, in the locker room and in the meetings rooms. He was respected as a football player and a leader during his career in Buffalo, and he will bring that veteran presence to our team."
Analysis: It's a nice signing for the Titans and certainly should result in a quality gig for Wilson. He had 104 total tackles last year and has compiled over 100 total tackles in three of his last four seasons. Assuming he starts, Fantasy owners should consider Wilson a borderline No. 2/No. 3 Fantasy DB worth a mid- to late-round pick.
News: On Monday the Bills announced the release of veteran safety George Wilson and linebacker Nick Barnett. Wilson had over 100 total tackles in each of the last two seasons with 11 passes defensed over that span. Barnett actually led the team in tackles each of the last two seasons with 112 this year and 130 in 2011.
Analysis: The moves will allow the Bills to get younger (and cheaper) at both positions. Both should land on their feet and have a chance to contribute to Fantasy owners in 2013.
News: Bills defensive back George Wilson led the team in tackles Sunday, in a 24-10 loss to the Dolphins. Wilson had nine tackles -- eight solo -- to give him 96 on the year.
Analysis: It would take a very quiet performance from Wilson for him not to end up topping the 100-tackle mark for the second year in a row. He has 19 tackles over the last two games, and can be considered a decent Fantasy IDP option down the stretch.
News: Bills defensive back George Wilson led his team in tackles in Week 15 against the Seahawks. He finished with 10 total (eight solo) in the 50-17 loss.
Analysis: Wilson has 87 tackles on the year and has a good chance at surpassing 100 for the second straight campaign. Since he has yet to record an interception, however, continue to view him as a low-end option in Fantasy IDP formats.
News: Bills defensive back George Wilson led the team with six tackles -- four solo -- in Thursdays 19-14 win over the Dolphins in Week 11.
Analysis: Wilson has 64 tackles through 10 games, putting him on pace for his third 100-tackle season in the last four. He has yet to intercept a pass this season, but his solid tackle numbers from the defensive backfield make him a decent low-end Fantasy IDP option moving forward.
News: Buffalo defensive back George Wilson had five tackles Sunday at Houston in Week 9. Three of his tackles were solo stops, and Wilson now has 53 tackles on the season.
Analysis: Wilson is a quality defensive back in IDP leagues and is worth starting in most formats. Keep him active in Week 10 at the Patriots.
News: Buffalo defensive back George Wilson posted another solid tackle total in Week 7 against the Titans Sunday. Wilson racked up eight tackles -- six solo -- in the game, with a pass defended in a 35-34 loss.
Analysis: Wilson has 48 tackles through the first seven games of the season, putting him on pace for another 100-tackle season. This would be his third in four years. This is where most of his Fantasy value comes from, however we still would like to see him make some plays in the secondary as well. Wilson had 10 interceptions in his previous three seasons, but has yet to record one this season. He remains a quality option in most Fantasy IDP formats at this time.
News: Bills defensive back George Wilson was fairly productive in Week 6 against the Cardinals. Wilson finished with six tackles in the 16-13 overtime loss and five of those were credited as solos. He now has 39 stops on the year.
Analysis: Wilson has been a decent source for tackles this season but has not really brought much to the table in any other category. Still, because he looks on pace to register his second straight season with 100-plus tackles, owners should leave Wilson active in the majority of IDP formats heading into Week 7.
News: Bills safety George Wilson turned in a solid performance during Sunday's Week 5 contest against the 49ers. Wilson registered a team-high six tackles, all of which were solo, in a 45-3 defeat.
Analysis: Wilson has been a solid source of tackles for Fantasy owners and has registered 23 of his 33 tackles in his last three games. Wilson is still looking for his first pick, but is comfortably on pace for another 100-tackle season. He can be started in deeper IDP formats.
News: Bills safety George Wilson had 10 tackles (nine solo and one assist) in Week 4 against the Patriots.
Analysis: Wilson now has 27 tackles on the season. After finishing 2011 with 106 tackles and four interceptions, Wilson is still looking for his first pick, but is comfortably on pace for another 100-tackle season. He can be started in deeper IDP formats.
News: Bills safety George Wilson totaled six solo tackles Week 3 at Cleveland.
Analysis: Wilson is a threat for 100-plus tackles and a few interceptions per season. That potential is enough to consider him a viable Fantasy start in most IDP formats.
News: Bills safety George Wilson totaled five tackles (three solo) and one pass defense Week 2 against the Chiefs. Wilson has 10 tackles (six solo) through two games.
Analysis: Wilson is a very good strong safety and is a threat for 100-plus tackles, which is why he continues to be a high-end Fantasy defensive back.
News: Buffalo defensive back George Wilson managed five tackles, including three solo stops, during the Bills' 48-28 loss to the Jets in Week 1. Wilson posted just three games last year with five tackles or less, including one against New York.
Analysis: Wilson is normally a tackling machine -- two 100-plus campaigns in the last three years -- but was limited as the Jets favored the run. When they did pass, they were proficient and reached the end zone three times. Expect a quick bounce-back performance from Wilson.
News: Bills DB George Wilson continued to pile up the tackles Week 17 at New England, finishing with 10 (six solo) to give him a career-high 106 for the season. He also forced a fumble in the contest.
Analysis: Wilson's career high in tackles is especially impressive when you consider he missed three games earlier this season with a neck issue. Between the tackles and the occasional interception, he's a borderline No. 1 DB in Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: Bills DB George Wilson had four tackles Saturday against Denver in Week 16. He had three solo stops.
Analysis: Wilson is a solid DB in IDP leagues and should remain active in all formats in Week 17 at New England.
News: Bills DB George Wilson made an impact early in Week 15, recovering a fumble by Dolphins RB Reggie Bush. Wilson also made seven tackles in the game.
Analysis: Wilson is likely to reach the 100-tackle mark for the second time in his career this season. He remains a viable DB option in most IDP leagues.
News: Buffalo DB George Wilson seemed fine in Week 14 versus San Diego after missing three games with a neck problem. He tallied six tackles, five solo, for the Bills. Buffalo would lose the game, 37-10.
Analysis: Wilson hasn't made a sack this year, but with four picks and 85 tackles he's done plenty in his 10 games of action. Now that he's back on the field and healthy, Fantasy owners in IDP leagues should continue to view Wilson as a viable DB option.
News: Buffalo DB George Wilson was active on Sunday. He's been dealing with a neck problem, but made enough progress to be active for the Bills.
Analysis: Wilson has missed the last three games and it appeared early in the week he was going to sit out again Week 14. He may not rack up a ton of tackles, but Fantasy owners in IDP leagues should view Wilson as solid DB option.
News: Bills coach Chan Gailey had good news on Friday regarding his defense. He said both DBs Jairus Byrd (shin) and George Wilson (neck) are probable for Week 14 against the Chargers. He said both players should be active on Sunday.
Analysis: Wilson has missed the last three games and it appeared early in the week he was going to sit out again Week 14. But the doctors cleared him to return and it appears Wilson will do so. Fantasy IDP owners should activate Wilson for Week 14 if he manages to stay off the inactives list.
News: Bills DB George Wilson, who has missed the last three games with a neck injury, was cleared by doctors to return to practice. He hopes to play Week 14 against the Chargers. "I came in and had to show the trainers and the coaches what I could do as far as going to ground and showing my strength and I was cleared to practice," Wilson said. "I'm going to take it one day at a time and see how the week progresses, but I plan to be out on the field on Sunday when we take on the Chargers."
Analysis: Bills coach Chan Gailey wasn't overly optimistic at the start of the week that Wilson would play Week 14, but it seems his chances have increased. If Wilson returns to action Sunday, then Fantasy owners need to get him active. Wilson has been a stat machine this season and a high-end Fantasy option.
News: Bills coach Chan Gailey said Monday that DB George Wilson, who has missed the last three games with a neck injury, has an outside chance of returning Week 14 at San Diego. However, Gailey isn't overly optimistic.
Analysis: This injury has frustrated Wilson to no end, but it seems the Bills can take it easy with him thanks to the surprising play of his replacement, Da'Norris Searcy. Unless we get a more positive report later in the week, then don't plan on activating Wilson in Week 14. He is a high-end Fantasy DB when healthy.
News: Bills DB George Wilson (neck) was inactive Week 13 vs. Tennessee as expected. He was ruled out on Friday. He has now missed the last three games.
Analysis: Wilson had hoped this would be the week he would return to the lineup, but it just didn't happen. It's a tough loss again for Fantasy owners as Wilson has emerged as a high-end Fantasy DB during a breakout season. Keep him reserved until further notice.
News: Bills DB George Wilson will miss a third straight game Week 13 vs. Tennessee because of a neck injury. He was officially ruled out on Friday.
Analysis: Wilson had hoped this would be the week he would return to the lineup, but it just didn't happen. It's a tough loss again for Fantasy owners as Wilson has emerged as a high-end Fantasy DB during a breakout season. Keep him reserved until further notice.
News: Bills SS George Wilson (neck) did not participate in practice Wednesday but has a chance to return before the end of the week. Buffalo hosts Tennessee in Week 13. "My chance of playing this week is far greater than it was last week," Wilson said. "We'll see how the week progresses."
Analysis: Wilson has missed the last two games, but he sounds hopeful about a Week 13 return. It would be a welcomed return for Fantasy owners since Wilson was having a monster season before getting hurt. Continue to track Wilson's progress.
News: Buffalo DB George Wilson is officially inactive for Week 12 against the Jets because of a lingering neck injury. Wilson was ruled out for Sunday's game earlier this week. It's the second game in a row he will be sidelined.
Analysis: Wilson will miss out on an opportunity to play against New York QB Mark Sanchez, who has thrown an interception in his past four games and 10 total this season. Fantasy owners should continue to reserve Wilson in all IDP formats for Week 12.
News: Buffalo DB George Wilson was ruled out for Week 12 against the Jets because of a lingering neck injury. Wilson was also sidelined for the Bills' matchup against Miami in Week 11. Rookie DB Da'Norris Searcy is expected to replace him in the lineup.
Analysis: Wilson has been a key member in Buffalo's secondary this season with four interceptions and 79 tackles. His absence is likely to hurt the Bills against New York's loaded receiving corps. Fantasy owners should continue to reserve Wilson in all IDP formats for Week 12.
News: Buffalo DB George Wilson was ruled inactive for Week 11 because of a neck injury. Wilson was listed as doubtful on the team's injury report, but was hoping to still be able to play. Rookie DB Da'Norris Searcy is expected to replace him in the lineup.
Analysis: Wilson's absence creates a massive void for the Bills in the secondary as he led the team in tackles (79) and interceptions (four). Buffalo coach Chan Gailey said Wilson is day to day with the injury. Fantasy owners should leave Wilson stashed in all formats for now.
News: Bills coach Chan Gailey said DB George Wilson (neck), who leads the team in tackles (79) and interceptions (4), is doubtful for Week 11 at Miami, but he is holding out hope the veteran safety will be able to play Sunday. Rookie Da'Norris Searcy replaced Wilson in Week 10 when he got hurt.
Analysis: This is definitely a disappointing development for IDP owners since Wilson has been a star early this season. It appears Fantasy owners will need to look to healthier alternatives in Week 11.
News: Bills SS George Wilson (shoulder) is day-to-day, Bills coach Chan Gailey said Monday. Wilson, who leads the team in tackles (79) and interceptions (4), was replaced by rookie Da'Norris Searcy against the Cowboys in Week 10. He still had six tackles and one forced fumble in the game.
Analysis: Wilson has been making plays all year and continues to remain on track to post a career season. He has become a viable Fantasy DB in all formats, so keep tabs on his progress.
News: Bills DB George Wilson totaled eight tackles (six solo) and one forced fumble Week 10 at Dallas. Wilson is now up to 79 tackles in nine games.
Analysis: Wilson has been making plays all year and continues to remain on track to post a career season. Keep him active in all Fantasy formats moving forward.
News: Buffalo DB George Wilson matched a season low with five tackles during the Bills' 27-11 loss to the Jets in Week 9. Wilson's total was his lowest since the season opener when he also had five against Kansas City.
Analysis: Wilson had collected at least nine tackles in each of his five games coming into Sunday's outing, but New York utilized an aggressive ground scheme. He still has four interceptions this season and makes for a high-end option in Fantasy IDP formats.
News: Buffalo DB George Wilson had a big game in Week 8 in a win over the Redskins from Toronto. Wilson recorded nine tackles to finish second on the team behind Nick Barnett. Wilson added an interception of QB John Beck for the Bills. Wilson now has four interceptions on the season.
Analysis: Wilson has recorded at least nine tackles in five straight games and has all of his interceptions over that span. Wilson has been playing extremely well for the Bills and is definitely a must-start Fantasy IDP option at this point.
News: Bills safety recorded 10 tackles in Week 6 against the Giants. It was his fourth consecutive game with double digits in tackles.
Analysis: Wilson continues to rack up tackles on a weekly basis. He came into Week 6 with an interception in his three previous games and has been a good source for passes defensed. Consider him a must-start in IDP formats as long as he remains healthy, but seek alternatives with the Bills on a bye in Week 7.
News: Bills safety George Wilson had 11 total tackles -- 10 solo -- and an interception of Michael Vick in Week 5.
Analysis: Wilson continues to gain steam as a valuable Fantasy DB. As the Bills get better, so will Wilson. If he's unowned in your league, snap him up. He's a fine No. 2 option for now.
News: Buffalo DB George Wilson collected a team-high 12 tackles and an interception during the Bills' 23-20 loss to Cincinnati in Week 4 on Sunday. Wilson picked off Bengals QB Andy Dalton late in the second quarter to help set up a Buffalo touchdown for a 17-3 lead before halftime.
Analysis: Wilson has now tallied 23 tackles and two interceptions over his past two games to continue his quick start to the season. The 30-year-old had just 35 tackles, but surpassed that total Sunday and now has 36 stops. Keep an eye on him in deeper IDP Fantasy formats.
News: Bills DB George Wilson totaled 10 tackles (six solo) and one interception in Week 3 against the Patriots. Wilson has 23 tackles in three games.
Analysis: Wilson is the Bills' starting strong safety, but since he doesn't get a lot of interceptions or pass defenses, then he remains a low-end Fantasy DB.
News: Bills DB George Wilson was able to snag his second interception of the season in the Week 15 win over the Dolphins. He stepped in front of QB Chad Henne's pass intended for Patrick Cobbs over the left side. Wilson did not register a tackle on the day.
Analysis: Wilson is a decent defender who normally just racks up tackles, but now he has two takeaways to his name. Still, he warrants marginal Fantasy value and he should be kept out of lineups moving forward.
News: Bills DB George Wilson totaled three solo tackles and one interception in Week 11 against the Bengals. It was Wilson's first interception of the season and seventh of his career. He finished with two pass defenses.
Analysis: After totaling a career-high 103 tackles in 2009, Wilson is down to 24 tackles in 10 games. The reason why he is now shares time at free safety with Jarius Byrd, so he is not on the field as much to make plays. Wilson is no longer a solid Fantasy option.
News: The Bills have re-signed six players, including safety George Wilson and linebacker Keith Ellison. Wilson, who started 12 games and had a career-best four interceptions last season, and Ellison were both restricted free agents and tendered contract offers by the team earlier this month. Ellison started eight games before sustaining a season-ending quadriceps injury. The Bills re-signed three exclusive rights free agents on Monday: linebacker Jon Corto, defensive back Cary Harris and tight end Jonathan Stupar. Free agent receiver Felton Huggins, who spent last season on Buffalo's practice squad, was also re-signed.
Analysis: Of these players, only Wilson figures to be a decent Fantasy option in deeper IDP leagues as a No. 3 DB. The rest of these Bills are fringe players not expected to be helpful in Fantasy play.
News: Buffalo DB George Wilson picked off a David Garrard pass on Sunday in a loss at Jacksonville. Wilson had four tackles in the game as well.
Analysis: Wilson now has three interceptions on the season to go with two sacks and 66 tackles. Wilson is looking like more of a playmaker this season, giving him some appeal in Fantasy IDP leagues. He is definitely worth using in most leagues at the moment as at least a No. 3 Fantasy DB. Treat him as such for Week 12 against Miami.
News: Bills DB George Wilson led the team in tackles on Sunday of Week 8 during a home loss to Houston. Wilson finished with 15 tackles in the game. Chris Draft finished with nine tackles and was second.
Analysis: Wilson now has 54 tackles on the season and that includes two sacks and two interceptions. Wilson is looking like more of a playmaker this season, giving him some appeal in Fantasy IDP leagues. He is definitely worth using in most leagues at the moment as at least a No. 3 Fantasy DB. Draft, however, only has 13 tackles on the season with a sack and is not worth using in Fantasy play. Neither guy should be used Week 9. The Bills have a bye Week 9.
News: Bills DB George Wilson, who recorded his first interception of the season last week, had another Week 7 at Carolina. He also had 10 tackles, including seven solo. He now has two sacks and two interceptions on the year.
Analysis: Wilson is looking like more of a playmaker this season, giving him some appeal in Fantasy IDP leagues. He'll need a couple more big weeks to deserve a roster spot in most of those formats, but he's a No. 3 Fantasy DB right now.
News: Bills DB George Wilson had possibly the best game of his career Week 6 at the Jets, recording his first interception and finishing with 11 tackles, seven solo. He entered the game with two interceptions in his career, both in 2007.
Analysis: Wilson will need to repeat this kind of performance to have any Fantasy relevance, but he certainly bears watching. Leave him on waivers, but keep an eye on him.
News: Bills DB George Wilson totaled five tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble during a Week 4 loss to the Dolphins. He had all of three tackles coming into the game.
Analysis: Wilson had to step up Week 4 since Donte Whitner and Bryan Scott were out battling injury. Wilson has pretty much been a backup safety in his career and will return to that role as soon as everyone is healthy. Despite the big game, he has marginal Fantasy appeal.
News: The injuries keep piling up on the Bills, who could be missing three-quarters of their defensive backfield for their game at Miami this weekend. Cornerback Leodis McKelvin (broken leg) and safeties Donte Whitner (thumb) and Bryan Scott (high ankle sprain) missed practice Wednesday after they were hurt in a 27-7 loss against New Orleans last weekend. McKelvin is out and Whitner and Scott aren't likely to play. Drayton Florence is expected to fill in for McKelvin while George Wilson and Jairus Byrd will fill in at safety if needed.
Analysis: The harsh reality is that the only usable Fantasy DB on the Bills this week, and possibly in the coming weeks, is Terrence McGee. Consider him a No. 2 option at best, and that's if teams even throw in his direction and not in the way of the backup defenders. Everyone else on the list isn't worth owning in Fantasy play other than Whitner and McKelvin (No. 3 DBs when healthy).
News: In the Bills' 54-31 win at the Chiefs in Week 12, notable defenders included: CB Leodis McKelvin (two solo tackles, two interceptions, one touchdown), LB Blake Costanzo (six solo tackles, two forced fumbles), DB George Wilson (four solo tackles, sack), DB Reggie Corner (three solo tackles, forced fumble), DE Ryan Denney (three solo tackles, sack) and DL Copeland Bryan (solo tackle, sack).
Analysis: Of these defenders, McKelvin is the only one who will garner Fantasy attention. He's a quality player with excellent speed and quickness, two skills you need to play corner at the NFL level. Consider him a solid option in Week 13 when the pass-oriented 49ers come to Buffalo. The rest of the defenders can be ignored.
News: Bills starting safety Donte Whitner and starting cornerback Jabari Greer won't play because of injuries when Buffalo travels to Kansas City to play the Chiefs in Week 12. Whitner, who missed the second half of Buffalo's Monday night loss to Cleveland, is nursing a right shoulder separated against the Jets on Nov. 2. Greer, meanwhile, hurt his right knee in the Browns game. Buffalo's secondary might be even further depleted if Whitner's replacement, Bryan Scott, can't play. Scott is questionable because of a left knee injury sustained against the Browns. Rookie Leodis McKelvin will likely start in place of Greer, while George Wilson would start at strong safety if Scott is unable to go.
Analysis: Unless you're considering Terrence McGee, the only healthy starting defensive back in Buffalo, steer clear of all Bills DBs in Week 12. Only Whitner is worth holding on to in deeper formats.
News: Bills starting free safety George Wilson was placed on injured reserve Friday, ending his season less than a week after he broke two ribs. Wilson becomes Buffalo's fifth defensive regular and 14th player to be placed on the season-ending list this year. Coach Dick Jauron had been hoping that Wilson would be able to return should the Bills make the playoffs.
Analysis: Wilson is a safe drop from all Fantasy IDP leagues at this time. Even when he was healthy, he wasn't posting big stats on a regular basis.
News: The Bills have ruled out LB Coy Wire and FS George Wilson for Week 15 at Cleveland. Wilson, who has broken ribs, might miss the rest of the season.
Analysis: Neither defender posts enough stats to warrant use in Fantasy play. Keep them off rosters for now.
News: Bills safety George Wilson will miss the rest of the regular season with two broken ribs, but the team has no immediate plans to place him on injured reserve while it remains alive in the AFC playoff race. Coach Dick Jauron said Monday the first-year starter was scheduled to be released from a Buffalo-area hospital later in the day after he was held overnight for observation. Wilson was hurt when he was hit hard trying to catch a short kickoff late in the first quarter of Buffalo's 38-17 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Wilson, who muffed the kickoff, returned for a few defensive plays in the second quarter before missing the rest of the game.
Analysis: Wilson is a converted receiver who made the switch to defense this offseason. He took over at free safety in Week 5 after starter Ko Simpson (broken ankle) was placed on IR and backup Jim Leonhard missed three games with a calf injury. Wilson is tied for second on the team with two interceptions, and has been credited with 40 tackles in 12 games, including nine starts, this season. He might be a sleeper in the coming years, but he's a safe waiver wire drop in all Fantasy leagues.
News: Bills DB George Wilson was taken to hospital after sustaining broken ribs in the first quarter of Buffalo's 38-17 win over Miami in Week 14. Wilson, who scored on a fumble return before getting hurt, injured himself on a kick return. Coach Dick Jauron didn't have a timetable as to how long Wilson might be out.
Analysis: Wilson had started the last nine games for the Bills after filling in for the injured Jim Leonhard. He should be out at least a week or two, but he didn't have any Fantasy value before getting hurt. The Bills play at Cleveland in Week 15.
News: DB Terrence McGee (seven tackles, two passes defended), LB John DiGiorgio (seven tackles), LB Angelo Crowell (six tackles), DB George Wilson (six tackles), DL Ryan Denney (five tackles) and DB Donte Whitner (four tackles) all chipped in as Buffalo defeated the Dolphins 13-10 in Week 10.
Analysis: McGee and Crowell are nice backup Fantasy DBs in IDP formats, while DiGiorgio and Whitner have minimal Fantasy value in deeper lesgues as No. 3 or No. 4 options at their positions. None of these players should be starting in Week 11 against the superb Patriots offense.
News: Bills DB George Wilson (six tackles, pass defended), DB Jabari Greer (five tackles, forced fumble) and DB Dante Whitner (four tackles) all helped out in Buffalo's 33-21 victory over the Bengals in Week 9.
Analysis: Whitner has minimal value as a backup Fantasy DB in IDP leagues, while Whitner and Greer are not worth owning in any format. The Bills travel to Miami in Week 10.
News: Bills DB Jabari Greer, LB John DiGiorgio, LB Angelo Crowell, DL Chris Kelsay and DB George Wilson each had interceptions Week 5 against the Cowboys. Wilson returned his 25 yards for a touchdown, and Kelsay caught his standing in the end zone for an immediate score off a tipped pass. DiGiorgio led the team with seven tackles.
Analysis: All these players, with the exception of Wilson, already deserved attention in Fantasy IDP leagues, but the one who should get a second look on the waiver wire this week is Greer. He already earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his play in Week 5 and could earn it again for the way he covered Terrell Owens, holding him to two catches for 25 yards and knocking a potentially game-tying two-point conversion reception out of his hands late in the fourth quarter. The Bills have a bye in Week 6 before hosting the Ravens in Week 7.
News: Notable Bills inactive for Week 1 vs. Denver include DB John Wendling, DB George Wilson, LB Keith Ellison, DL Tim Anderson and DL Ryan Denney. RB Fred Jackson is listed as the third quarterback.
Analysis: Keep all of these players reserved in Fantasy leagues for Week 1. When active, most of these players have little to no Fantasy value.
News: Bills player George Wilson is switching from a wide receiver to a safety to better his chances of making the club, reports BuffaloBills.com.
Analysis: Wilson was not a big stat producer as a wide receiver, and he certainly won't rack up receptions as a DB. Keep him off Fantasy rosters.
News: Notable Bills inactives for Week 17 at Baltimore include: DT Tim Anderson, S Matt Bowen, LB Roy Manning, DL Eric Powell, RB Shaud Williams and WR George Wilson.
Analysis: Keep these players reserved for Fantasy purposes in Week 17.
News: Buffalo RB Daimon Shelton was placed on injured reserve Friday because of lingering effects of a concussion. Shelton was injured while blocking during a kickoff return against Miami two weeks ago and missed last weekend's game against Tennessee. Shelton, the primary blocker for Willis McGahee, finished with seven catches for 35 yards. Reserve tight end Brad Cieslak took over Shelton's spot in the Bills' backfield. WR George Wilson was promoted from the practice squad to replace Shelton on the 53-man roster. He played in three games with the Bills last season.
Analysis: Shelton and Wilson have no Fantasy value.
News: The Bills signed the following players to their practice squad: DB Eric Bassey, TE Brad Cieslak, RB Fred Jackson, DL Jason Jefferson, DL Ryan Neill and WR George Wilson.
Analysis: None of these players are expected to make any sort of impact in Fantasy Football. Ignore them for now.
News: Bills rookie WR George Wilson did not record an offensive stat in 2006. He played in three games, mainly on special teams, recording two tackles.
Analysis: Unless promoted during training camp 2006, he will have no Fantasy value.
