Bills' Anthony Dixon, Kraig Urbik named starters in Week 8

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/26/2014) The Bills announced that running back Anthony Dixon will get the start in Sunday's battle with the Jets.

The team lost its top two running backs in Week 7 and turned to Dixon to finish the game. He'll draw the first snap against the Jets but should rotate with Bryce Brown, with the team leaning on whomever performs best. The Bills also looked to boost the offense line by inserting interior lineman Kraig Urbik into the starting lineup at left guard.

(10/22/2014) Bills coach Doug Marrone is exploring the option of making a change to the starting offensive line in an effort to improve the struggling unit, and inserting Kraig Urbik into the lineup ahead of rookie Cyril Richardson is the most likely move, BuffaloBills.com reports.

"He’s got to be ready to step up and go," Marrone said of Urbik. "If he gets the call on Sunday I’m sure he’ll be ready to go."

The Bills have surrendered 13 sacks in their last three games, and the line faces a tough test against the Jets in Week 8.

Quarterback derby dominates Bills injury report on Friday
