(11/4/2013) Panthers backup guard Jeff Byers had season-ending Lisfranc surgery on his left foot Monday, reports the Charlotte Observer. Byers suffered the injury in the Week 9 win over Atlanta.

(11/3/2013) Not only did the Panthers lose starting right guard Chris Scott to a knee injury Week 9 against the Falcons, but they also lost backup Jeff Byers to a foot injury, requiring them to use former defensive tackle Nate Chandler at the position.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Scott was in a brace after the game, and Byers was on crutches.
