Cardinals make a slew of moves

(10/5/2013) The Bills are bringing in veteran quarterback Dennis Dixon for a workout Sunday, and are looking to add a passer soon, a team source told CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora.

The Bills need a quarterback after starter EJ Manuel sprained his LCL in the team's loss to Cleveland Thursday. He is expected to miss at least a month. The only other quarterback on the roster is rookie Jeff Tuel.


Eagles cut baker's dozen off their roster

(8/30/2013) The Eagles have wasted little time paring 13 players from their roster, none of whom was surprising. They cut linebackers Everette Brown and Adrian Robinson, defensive linemen Antonio Dixon and David King, quarterbacks G.J. Kinne and Dennis Dixon, offensive linemen Matt Kopa, Matt Tennant and Dallas Reynolds, and wide receivers Ifeanyi Momah and Will Murphy.

The team also waived cornerback Trevard Lindley with an injury settlement and placed defensive end Joe Kruger on IR.

(8/1/2013) While Michael Vick and Nick Foles continue to split reps for the Eagles' starting quarterback job, rookie Matt Barkley is "a distant third," reports the Newark Star-Ledger.

Since the start of training camp, Vick and Foles have split all the first and second-team reps. Barkley has done all his work with the third team. Dennis Dixon has appeared for less than a handful of snaps per day.


Dixon signs with Eagles

(2/14/2013) The Eagles on Thursday agreed to a two-year deal with quarterback Dennis Dixon. Eagles coach Chip Kelly was Dixon's offensive coordinator his senior season at Oregon, when Dixon threw for 20 touchdowns, rushed for nine more and threw four interceptions. Dixon has attempted just 59 passes in four games over five NFL seasons with the Steelers and Ravens.
