Hughes exits late after hard hit

News: Eagles defensive back Brandon Hughes was forced out of Thursday's contest against the Bengals after suffering an undisclosed injury. Hughes sustained the injury after taking a brutal block during punt coverage. He was able to walk to the sidelines under his own power.
Analysis: At this point, the extent of his injury is still uncertain, so we'll continue to monitor his progress moving forward. It seemed as if he took a shot to the head during punt coverage, but the team has yet to announce his status. Hughes has barely seen the field this season and has only racked up nine tackles this season. Healthy or not, continue to ignore him in all formats moving forward.

Eagles steal DB from Giants

News: The Eagles have signed DB Brandon Hughes off the Giants practice squad, a Giants team spokesman said Tuesday.
Analysis: Hughes has yet to play a game in the NFL, but he might now get a chance with the Eagles. Still, he will be a backup DB and not worth owning in Fantasy.

Hughes signs on with Giants

News: The Giants added DB Brandon Hughes to their practice squad on Thursday. He spent camp with the Chargers.
Analysis: As a practice squad guy, Hughes isn't likely to have any Fantasy value in 2010. Continue to ignore him.

Bolts cut ties with Hughes

News: Chargers CB Brandon Hughes has been released to make room on the 53-man roster for QB J.T. O'Sullivan, who was signed Monday.
Analysis: Hughes spent his first season in the NFL on injured reserve in 2009 and now he gets to start his second season looking for employment. Ignore him in all Fantasy IDP leauges.

Chargers make roster moves

News: The Chargers have reached the 75-man roster limit by placing cornerback Brandon Hughes on injured reserve and wide receiver Demetrius Byrd on the reserve/NFI list and by waiving LB Anthony Felder.
Analysis: For now, none of these players were expected to produce enough stats to warrant Fantasy use. Keep them off of rosters.

Hughes has knee injury

News: The Chargers could be looking for help at cornerback. One week after cutting backup Cletis Gordon, rookie Brandon Hughes, a fifth-round draft pick, suffered what Norv Turner called a "significant" knee injury in Saturday's exhibition loss at Atlanta. "It will be a while before he is able to go," Turner said.
Analysis: Hughes played for former Chargers coach Mike Riley and finished his college career with 178 tackles and three interceptions. This injury could keep him out a while so go ahead and ignore him in Fantasy IDP play.

Chargers sign DB Hughes

News: The San Diego Chargers have signed fifth-round draft pick Brandon Hughes to a four-year deal. Hughes, a cornerback from Oregon State, is the first member of the 2009 draft class to sign.
Analysis: Hughes played for former Chargers coach Mike Riley and finished his college career with 178 tackles and three interceptions. He is going to provide some roster depth for the Chargers, but is not expected to start early in his career. Hughes doesn't have much Fantasy IDP value Draft Day.
