(11/10/2014) When Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis was carted off the field with an apparent knee injury during the first half of Week 10's game against San Francisco, he was initially ruled out for the rest of the game.

Apparently no one told Lewis because he returned to game action in the second half despite a significant knee injury that will require an MRI Monday, according to ESPN.

“Even though I was in pain, I tell myself, ‘If I can walk, I can try to go.’ My team needed me, and I just gave what I could give,” Lewis said, per ESPN.

While Lewis did eventually leave the game because of knee pain, he said it will have to be a significant injury to keep him out of Week 11’s game against Cincinnati.

“I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be hurting next week and I’ll be out there hopefully on one leg,” he said. “I’ll let the trainers evaluate me, we’ve got good trainers. And if I can walk, I’m going.”
