William Moore contributes six more tackles

(9/14/2014) Falcons defensive back William Moore, who recorded six tackles in the season opener last week, had six more, including two solo, Week 2 at Cincinnati. He didn't force any fumbles like he did Week 1 against the Saints, though.

Moore averaged 5.4 tackles in his 16 games last season.


William Moore gets big strip in Week 1

(9/7/2014) Falcons defensive back William Moore had only a decent performance statistically Week 1 against the Saints, finishing with six tackles, including four solo. But he made arguably the biggest play of the game, stripping the ball away from wide receiver Marques Colston at the start of overtime to put the Falcons in position for a game-winning field goal.

"You've only got two eyes. You can't see behind you," Moore said of the play. "I'm going to continue to work on that and hopefully I can get some more throughout the season."

Moore forced three fumbles last season to go along with 86 tackles and three interceptions.


William Moore, Desmond Trufant record interceptions

(12/16/2013) Falcons defensive backs William Moore and Desmond Trufant both recorded interceptions off quarterback Kirk Cousins Week 15 against the Redskins. Moore's came in the third quarter and Trufant's in the fourth.

Moore also recorded a fumble in the game, but Trufant had two more tackles, finishing with seven, three solo. Moore had five, three solo.


William Moore strips the ball again

(12/9/2013) Falcons defensive back William Moore, who forced a big fumble against the Bills last week, forced another, this time on a sack, Week 14 at Green Bay. He also had six tackles, including five solo.

The sack was Moore's second of the season. He's averaging 5.6 tackles in 13 games.

(11/18/2013) Falcons defensive back William Moore delivered seven tackles, all solo, Week 11 at Tampa Bay. It was his third straight game with at least six tackles.

Moore is averaging 5.6 tackles in 10 games this season.

All three players have been able to practice this week, but have been limited each day. Both Umenyiora and Baker are dealing with knee injuries. Moore has a hip issue.

(10/20/2013) Falcons defensive back William Moore, whose production had been lacking since he recorded his first interception Week 3 at Miami, made a significant contribution Week 7 against the Buccaneers. He recorded his first sack, forcing a fumble that Thomas DeCoud recovered and returned for a touchdown. He also had seven tackles, including six solo. Moore is averaging 5.7 tackles in six games this season.

(9/22/2013) Falcons safety William Moore enjoyed a productive game as he came down with an interceptions Sunday at Miami in Week 3.

Moore picked off Ryan Tannehill in the third quarter for his first interception of the season. He registered five total tackles (five solo) and defended two passes in a 27-23 victory. He has 20 tackles through three games.

Falcons' Moore arrested

(4/19/2013) Falcons safety William Moore was arrested on a simple battery charge Thursday. Fulton County jail records showed Moore remained in custody Thursday night. No details of the arrest were immediately available. The Falcons released a statement saying the team was aware of the "situation involving William Moore" and was gathering more information.
