Kemoeatu rolls ankle in practice

(8/3/2009) Panthers starting defensive tackle Maake Kemoeatu suffered an ankle injury Monday in the team's opening training-camp workout. Kemoeatu rolled his right ankle while running early in the practice and was carted to the locker room. Coach John Fox said he was to meet with doctors later Monday. The Panthers' lack of depth at defensive tackle left undrafted rookie Marlon Favorite practicing in Kemoeatu's spot with the starters. "(Favorite) is a neat young man who gives you everything he's got," Fox said. "We saw that out of college."
