Texans injury report dominated by probables

(5:07 pm ET) As expected, the Texans have ruled out rookie outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee) and safety Shiloh Keo (calf) for their Week 3 game against the host Giants.

Most of the other players are their extensive injury report are probable, though featured back Arian Foster (hamstring), offensive lineman Ben Jones (ankle/knee) and safety D.J. Swearinger (elbow) are questionable.

The probables are linebacker Akeem Dent (hamstring), tight ends Garrett Graham (ankle) and C.J. Fiodorowicz (foot), wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (illness), defensive end Tim Jamison (groin), wide receiver Andre Johnson (ankle), cornerback Johnathan Joseph (foot), nose tackle Louis Nix (wrist) and fullback Jay Prosch (hand).

Watt and DT Louis Nix II are all probable heading into the game.

(9/5/2014) The Texans have a lengthy list of players on their injury report Friday heading into their Sunday opener against Washington.

Tight end Garrett Graham (back) and safety Shiloh Keo (calf) were the only two to miss practice on Friday. Both players were deemed Questionable.

The following players practiced in full on Friday and are ruled probable for Sunday: Cornerback A.J. (7/26/2014) Texans standout cornerback Johnathan Joseph had a reunion of sorts with his teammates Saturday during the first day of camp. Rehab from foot surgery had forced him to miss all the minicamp activities.

"Just trying to get out there and just feel my way through it," Joseph told ESPN. "Stay on top of technique and on top of the playbook and just catch up with the rest of the guys you know from what I missed in the spring."

Joseph played 15 games last year and finished with 44 tackles and three interceptions.

(12/16/2013) Texans defensive back Johnathan Joseph had arguably his best game of the season Week 15 at Indianapolis. Not only did he record his third interception, picking off Andrew Luck in the first quarter, but he also had a season-high nine tackles, all solo.

Joseph is averaging just 3.4 tackles in 14 games this season.

They are cornerbacks Kareem Jackson (ribs), Johnathan Joseph (groin), Brice McCain (groin) and Josh Victorian (back). The safeties are Shiloh Keo (illness) and D.J. Swearinger (foot).

(12/5/2013) The Texans' injury report for Week 14 featured a lengthy list of injured defenders, but all but one player from that side of the ball was able to take the field Thursday against the Jaguars. While defensive back Jawanza Starling (foot) was inactive prior to kickoff, 11 other injured players were able to play through their issues.

Defensive lineman Antonio Smith (not injury related), linebackers Joe Mays (knee), Mike Mohamed (hamstring), Darryl Sharpton (knee), Whitney Mercilus (hip) and Jeff Tarpinian (groin), and defensive backs Brice McCain (hamstring), Johnathan Joseph (groin), Kareem Jackson (ribs), D.J. Among those in the secondary are Kareem Jackson (ribs), Johnathan Joseph (groin), Shiloh Keo (neck), Jawanza Starling (hamstring) and D.J. Swearinger (foot).

Johnathan Joseph nets second interception

(12/2/2013) Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph picked off a Tom Brady pass during a 34-31 loss Week 13 vs. New England. It was his second interception this season and first since Week 4.

Joseph added three solo tackles Sunday and is up to 37 tackles (34 solo) in 12 games. He also has 14 pass defenses.
