Wesley Woodyard set with Titans

(3/15/2014) What was rumored is now official. The Titans have signed middle linebacker Wesley Woodyard to a four-year contract for $16 million, per the Denver Post.

The 27-year-old Woodyard will play that position after the Broncos did not allow him to. He lost his starting job at the end of 2013, during which he finished with 84 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks.

(3/14/2014) Free agent linebacker Wesley Woodyard doesn't figure to be a free agent for much longer. He told ESPN's Josina Anderson he's "about to sign with the Titans." It is believed to be a four-year deal according to NFL Network. Woodyard had 84 total tackles and a sack and a half for the Broncos last year. He's entering his seventh NFL season.

(3/11/2014) Free agent linebacker Wesley Woodyard, who's expected to leave the Broncos, will make his first visit to the Patriots, reports the Boston Herald. He had 84 tackles, two forced fumbles, 1.5 sacks and an interception last season.

Woodyard registered 15 total tackles (seven solo) in a 34-31 overtime defeat. He has 71 tackles on the year.

(10/25/2013) Seven Broncos have been designated as probable for Sunday against Washington. Included are offensive stalwarts such as quarterback Peyton Manning (ankle) and wideouts Wes Welker (ankle) and Eric Decker (toe).

Also among them are defensive linemen Mitch Unrein (groin), Shaun Phillips (hamstring) and Robert Ayers (shoulder), linebacker Wesley Woodyard (neck) and tight end Joel Dreessen (knee).

Cornerback Champ Bailey (foot) is out while offensive linemen Chris Kuper and Orlando Franklin are questionable with ankle injuries.

Woodyard missed the Week 6 clash against Jacksonville with the ailment after racking up 19 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks in his first five games this season.

(10/16/2013) The Broncos are 6-0 and about to receive a big boost to their defense with the return of linebacker Von Miller from suspension.

That was not the only good news on Wednesday. Fellow starting linebacker Wesley Woodyard (neck) and defensive end Robert Ayers (shoulder) returned to practice after being inactive for the Week 6 win against Jacksonville, according to USA Today. Their status for the game Sunday against Indianapolis has yet to be announced.

Woodyard, who has been playing through an ankle injury, collected 1.5 sacks in the 34-13 win to go along with eight tackles -- four solo.
