Analysis: Black has been OK this season but has yet to really make an imprint on a game thus far. While he does have two fumble recoveries on the year, he has yet to record a sack or force a turnover and is currently on pace for just 52 tackles. Fantasy owners should consider the 28-year-old merely a low-end option at this point in the season.

News: Despite missing the latter part of the 2010 season with a broken forearm, the St. Petersberg Times reported Wednesday that that the Buccaneers agreed to terms with LB Quincy Black. He signed a five-year contract worth a reported $29 million, with a guarantee of $11.5 million. Black had 61 tackles, two sacks and an interception last season in 11 games before suffering the injury.
Analysis: Black notched a career-high 84 tackles in 2009 and he was on the way to possibly bettering the number last season before the injury. With the Tampa defense only adding talent, Black should again be a productive tackler behind a quick defensive line. Assuming he's fully healthy at the start of the season as expected, he's worth a late pick in IDP formats on Draft Day.
News: Bucs rookie LB Dekoda Watson and veteran Adam Hayward will platoon to replace LB Quincy Black, who was lost for the season after suffering a broken forearm in Sunday's 17-16 victory at Washington.
Analysis: Black's season ends with 60 total tackles, two sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and three passes defensed. That certainly shows some promise for future years. Analysis: Black has been hobbled by an ankle injury for about a month, but he has played in the last two games. Black is overshadowed in the Bucs linebacking corps by the likes of Barrett Ruud and Geno Hayes, but he is a decent playmaker in his own right. He just remains a low-end Fantasy LB at this time.

Analysis: Black was quickly becoming a force in the Bucs LB corps before suffering the injury in Week 9. He did play without setback in Week 13, but he had just two tackles. Black is primarily a low-end Fantasy LB when healthy, so owners should look to healthier alternatives Week 12.

Analysis: Black has totaled 43 tackles, one sack and one interception in eight games. He definitely gets overlooked because he plays next to Barrett Ruud and Geno Hayes, but Black isn't a bad playmaker in his own regard. When healthy, consider him a viable low-end Fantasy start.
News: Bucs LB Quincy Black (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 10 vs. Carolina. He did practice in full Friday after sitting out Thursday. If Black can't go Sunday, coach Raheem Morris said LB Adam Hayward and rookie LB Dekoda Watson, a seventh-round pick, will likely split time at linebacker. "We'll try to keep them fresh for special teams as well," Morris said.
Analysis: Black has totaled 43 tackles, one sack and one interception in eight games. He definitely gets overlooked because he plays next to Barrett Ruud and Geno Hayes, but Black isn't a bad playmaker in his own regard. If healthy for Week 10, then consider him a viable low-end Fantasy start.
News: Buccaneers LB Quincy Black had a team-high eight tackles, including seven solo, Week 9 at Atlanta. He has recorded eight tackles three times this season.
Analysis: Black has yet to record more than eight tackles in a game, which means he's not an especially reliable source of the statistic. Treat him as a low-end LB in Fantasy IDP leagues.

News: Buccaneers DB Tanard Jackson (nine tackles, fumble recovery), DB Sabby Piscitelli (nine tackles, forced fumble), LB Barrett Ruud (eight tackles) and LB Quincy Black (seven tackles, interception) all had solid Fantasy outings in a Week 10 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: Ruud, who is currently seventh in the NFL in tackles, is a must-start IDP option, while Jackson and Piscitelli have value in deeper leagues. Black is the only one on this list not worth worrying about in Week 11 vs. New Orleans.
News: Tampa Bay RB B.J. Askew is listed among the Bucs' inactives for Week 6 against Carolina. The rest of the inactives are as follows: QB Byron Leftwich (3rd QB), WR Yamon Figurs, LB Quincy Black, DL Dre Moore and DL Kyle Moore.

News: Tampa Bay LB Barrett Ruud led the team in tackles during a loss at Washington in Week 5. Ruud finished with 9 tackles to lead his team. Quincy Black finished second on the team with 8 tackles and added a sack. Gaines Adams finished with 5 tackles and a sack as well.
Analysis: Ruud has 41 tackles on the season and remains a solid No. 1 LB in all IDP formats for Week 5 at Philadelphia. Black had a nice game but is owned in 0 percent of Fantasy leagues and can probably stay that way. Adams has just 10 tackles on the season and now has his first sack. He is just a low-end Fantasy DL for IDP leagues in Week 5.
News: The Bucs inactives for Week 9 against Arizona include DL Greg Spires, QB Luke McCown (3rd QB), RB Michael Pittman, LB Jeremiah Trotter, LB Patrick Chukwurah, LB Quincy Black and WR Michael Clayton.
Analysis: Keep Spires, Clayton and Pittman reserved in all Fantasy leagues. None of the other players are worth using.
News: Third-round draft pick Quincy Black signed with Tampa Bay on Wednesday, leaving the Buccaneers with three unsigned rookies going into training camp. The club also claimed interior offensive lineman Enoka Lucas off waivers from the Texans and released quarterback Zac Taylor and guard Anthony Wollschlager.
Analysis: Black could be a sleeper in IDP leagues, so check him out with a late-round pick in rookie-only drafts. Everyone else listed shouldn't be a part of Fantasy Football rosters.
News: Aside from first-round pick DE Gaines Adams, the Buccaneers' 2007 draft class includes: Tennessee OT Arron Sears, Oregon State SS Sabby Piscitelli, New Mexico LB Quincy Black, Syracuse CB Tanard Jackson, N.C. Central DE Greg Peterson, Portland State LB Adam Hayward, Fresno State OT Chris Denman, Virginia CB Marcus Hamilton and Alabama RB Kenneth Darby.
Analysis: Piscitelli is one of our favorites -- he's a strong bully of a safety who should put up some nice tackle stats over his career. Look his way with an early- to middle-round pick in dynasty rookie drafts. The rest of the players will provide depth for the Bucs and are good Tampa-2 defenders (Black is one to keep an eye on). Darby is a speedy runner but lacks bulk.
