Seahawks list inactives for Week 16

(12/21/2014) The Seahawks have listed Max Unger, Demarcus Dobbs, Russell Okung, Chris Matthews, Kevin Norwood, Travian Robertson and Tony Moeaki as inactive Week 16 against the Cardinals. 

Both Dobbs and Unger entered the contest listed as doubtful. Unger has been battling an ankle and knee injury. Dobbs also has an ankle issue. Moeaki was listed as questionable due to a shoulder injury. The other four players are considered healthy scratches.


Marshawn Lynch among notable Seahawks probable for Sunday

(12/19/2014) The Seahawks have ruled tackle Russell Okung (chest) out for Sunday's game at Arizona. Center Max Unger (ankle) and defensive end Demarcus Dobbs (ankle) were labeled as questionable. Tight end Tony Moeaki (shoulder) is the only player labeled questionable and is expected to be a game-day decision.

Meanwhile, the following players were labeled probable: Running back Marshawn Lynch (back), wide receiver Paul Richardson (hamstring), guard J.R. Sweezy (ankle) and tight end Cooper Helfet (ankle).


Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch doesn't practice Thursday

(12/18/2014) Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch (back) did not practice Thursday, the team announced.

Last week, Lynch was able to take part in practice in a limited fashion Thursday after taking his customary day off Wednesday. This week, he's looking at two DNPs heading into Friday. Lynch was listed as probable in Week 15 but could be facing a questionable tag (or worse) in Week 16. If Lynch isn't able to play Sunday, the Seahawks would likely expand the roles of Robert Turbin and Christine Michael.

Joining Lynch on the sidelines for Thursday's practice were tackle Russel Okung (chest), guard J.R. Sweezy (ankle), center Max Unger (knee/ankle), tight end Tony Moeaki (shoulder), wide receiver Paul Richardson (hamstring) and defensive end Demarcus Dobbs (ankle).


Seahawks without three offensive lineman on Wednesday

(12/17/2014) The Seahawks did not have three of their offensive linemen at practice on Wednesday, according to ESPN.

Max Unger, Russell Okung and J.R. Sweezy were all held out. Unger has missed the past four games due to an ankle and knee issue. He was able to practice last Friday, but did not play on Sunday. Okung is dealing with a bruised lung, but there's a chance he'll recover in time for Sunday's game. "[Okung is] going to have some stuff done [Thursday] that will let us know where he sits and all that," head coach Pete Carrol said. "He’s not out of the plan yet."

Sweezy is dealing with an ankle injury. His appearance on the injury report comes as somewhat of a surprise. 


Seahawks C Max Unger not practicing Wednesday

(12/17/2014) Seahawks starting center Max Unger, who's missed four straight games with knee and ankle injuries, was unable to practice Wednesday, reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Lemuel Jeanpierre will start Sunday night at Arizona if Unger can't go.

Coach Pete Carroll said Unger had a "tough recovery" after participating in last Friday's practice.

(12/14/2014) The Seahawks have listed Marcus Burley, Max Unger, Travian Robertson, Kevin Norwood, Cooper Helfet, RaShaun Allen, and Demarcus Dobbs as inactive Week 15 against the 49ers. 

Dobbs was the only player ruled out prior to Sunday. Unger came into the game listed as doubtful due to knee and ankle issues. Unger was able to put in limited work in practice, but hasn't improved enough to play. Helfet was listed as questionable due to an ankle issue.

(12/12/2014) Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch (back) was one of the two Seattle players listed as probable for Sunday's divisional clash against San Francisco. The other player listed as probable is cornerback Jeremy Lane (glute), per the team's official website.

Tight end Cooper Helfet (ankle) has a chance to play and has been listed as questionable, according to coach Pete Carroll. Center Max Unger (knee, ankle) was designated as doubtful, while defensive end Demarcus Dobbs (ankle) was ruled out for Week 15.

Helfet came into the contest listed as doubtful due to an ankle injury. Lane was questionable with a glute issue. The other five players listed are healthy scratches.

Helfet, Pierre-Louis and Unger had all been previously ruled out for the Week 13 game, while Lane was questionable. Also questionable to play was defensive end Demarcus Dobbs (knee), but he's active for the game.

Marshawn Lynch is listed as probable due to a back injury. He was able to put in full practice on Wednesday. Jermaine Kearse, Marcus Burley and James Carpenter have also been ruled probable. 

Demarcus Dobbs and Jeremy Lane are listed as questionable. Dobbs is dealing with a knee injury. Lane has a glute issue.

Finally, Max Unger, Cooper Helfet and Kevin Pierre-Louis have been ruled out. None of the three were able to practice during the week.

(11/25/2014) Seahawks starting center Max Unger, who suffered a high ankle sprain Week 11, was unable to practice Tuesday as the team prepared for Thursday's game at the 49ers. Unger's absence was a big factor in Seattle allowing seven sacks Week 12 against Arizona.

Coach Pete Carroll told reporters he didn't know if Patrick Lewis would get another start at center, or if the team would go with recently-signed Lemuel Jeanpierre.

(11/17/2014) Seahawks starting center Max Unger will miss 3-4 weeks after suffering a high ankle sprain and a twisted knee Week 11 at Kansas City, coach Pete Carroll told 710 ESPN Radio. Patrick Lewis, who replaced Unger against the Chiefs, figures to start Sunday against the Cardinals.

The team has yet to announce an injury for Unger, though did confirm he was carted off the field. Unger had been dealing with a foot injury in previous weeks, but was able to return, and was playing fairly well Week 11 before the injury.

(11/9/2014) Seahawks offensive stars Marshawn Lynch and Doug Baldwin are active Week 10 against the Giants.

Both players came into the game listed as probable. Lynch is dealing with a calf injury. Baldwin has a groin issue. The team will also have Michael Bennett, Jordan Hill, Russell Okung, O'Brien Schofield and Max Unger. All five players were also listed as probable coming into the contest.

Marcus Burley and Byron Maxwell should play as well. They were both listed as questionable. Burley is dealing with a hamstring injury, Maxwell has a calf issue. 

Guard Stephen Schilling is the only doubtful player who is active for the game.

(11/7/2014) The Seahawks have ruled out Zach Miller (ankle) and Bobby Wagner (toe) for Week 10 against the Giants. James Carpenter (ankle), Stephen Schilling (knee), Kam Chancellor (groin) and Malcolm Smith (groin) all missed practice Friday and were deemed doubtful for Sunday.

Marcus Burley (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice, while Byron Maxwell (calf) was a full participant Friday. Both were deemed questionable.

The following players were labeled probable: Russell Okung (calf), Doug Baldwin (groin), Max Unger (rest), O'Brien Schofield (head), Michael Bennett (toe), Marshawn Lynch (calf) and Jordan Hill (ankle).


Seahawks expecting 'six, seven' injured players back Week 10

(11/3/2014) Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said on his weekly Monday radio show on ESPN 710 Seattle he expects "six, seven" players that sat out Week 9 vs. Oakland to return Week 10 against the Giants.

Carroll is anticipating Max Unger, Jeremy Lane and Jordan Hill to be back Sunday. He also added Kam Chancellor and Russell Okung should be back after suffering muscle strains in practice last week.

Lastly, Carroll said Byron Maxwell "might" make it back for Week 10, but tight end Zach Miller will not play. It will be the sixth straight game Miller will miss since undergoing ankle surgery in late September.

(10/27/2014) In an interview with 710 AM ESPN Radio in Seattle, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said that cornerback Byron Maxwell and center Max Unger both have a chance to play Week 9 against the Raiders, per the Everett Herald on Monday. Maxwell missed missed the last two games with a calf injury, while Unger has been sideliened the previous three games with a foot injury.
