(11/21/2014) Lions defensive end Jason Jones should be fine for the Sunday game at New England after returning to practice Friday. He had missed the last two sessions due to a family medical emergency.

Jones has started every game this season with two sacks. He has contributed to 12 tackles.

(8/28/2014) The following starters will not suit up for the Lions Thursday night against the Bills: Quarterback Matthew Stafford, receivers Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate, running back Reggie Bush, center Dominic Raiola, guard Rob Sims and tight end Brandon Pettigrew, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, cornerback Rashean Mathis, defensive end Jason Jones, safeties James Ihedigbo and Don Carey and linebacker Kyle Van Noy.

(5/21/2014) Eight months removed from surgery to fix a ruptured patellar tendon, Lions defensive end Jason Jones is participating in OTAs on a limited basis, reports the Detroit Free Press. "I feel good,” Jones told the paper. "It’s definitely a long offseason for me, so I’m ready to get back out there."

Jones played in parts of three games before being shelved last season.

(9/22/2013) Lions defensive end Jason Jones had to be carted off the field Sunday during the Week 3 game at Washington. Jones suffered a left knee injury and could not return for the Lions. He will hope to play Week 4 against Chicago. 

Jones, who entered Week 3 with one tackle on the year for the Lions, did not have a stop in the game against the Redskins before leaving.
