(9/15/2014) The Bears re-signed fullback Tony Fiammetta to the 53-man roster and added rookie quarterback David Fales to the practice squad, reports ESPN.com.

(9/13/2014) The Bears have waived quarterback David Fales and released cornerback Kelvin Hayden and fullback Tony Fiammetta, ESPNChicago.com reports.

The team is dealing with multiple injuries to starters on the offensive line and at wide receiver, necessitating the roster juggling in advance of Week 2's matchup with the 49ers. Fales (shoulder) and Fiammetta (hamstring) had already been ruled out for Sunday's game. The team will likely send Fales to the practice squad if he clears waivers.


Bears rule out three for Week 2

Offensive linemen Roberto Garza and Matt Slauson will not go against San Francisco. Fullback Tony Fiammetta will also be sidelined. All three players missed the entire week of practice due to their injuries.

(9/7/2014) The Bears have declared the following players inactive for Sunday's season opener against the Bills: linebacker Khaseem Greene, quarterback David Fales, defensive ends David Bass and Cornelius Washington, offensive tackle Charles Leno, cornerback Kelvin Hayden and fullback Tony Fiammetta.

Greene played in 15 games last season as a rookie, making four starts. Fiammetta was questionable to play due to a hamstring injury after being limited at practice all week.


Bears enter Week 1 relatively healthy

(9/5/2014) The Bears announced their final injury report for Sunday's season opener at home against the Bills.

Safety Chris Conte was cleared from a concussion and was a full participant in practice for the second straight day. He's listed as probable for Week 1. Offensive lineman Brian De La Puente was another full participant in practice Friday and was deemed probable as well. Tony Fiammetta is questionable with a sore hamstring.

Fiammetta has yet to carry the ball, and has just four receptions for 57 yards in 15 games, but has been valuable as a lead blocker.

(11/24/2013) Bears fullback Tony Fiammetta caught two passes for 23 yards in Sunday's 42-21 loss to the Rams. Fiammetta was targeted three times in the game. 

Fiammetta, who played for Syracuse in college, now has four receptions on the season. 

The Bears face the Vikings in Week 13.
