News: The Tennessean reports that the Titans released running back Jamie Harper and signed former Jacksonville running back Jalen Parmele. Tennessee had hoped the 5-11, 233-pound Harper would be a good change of pace back to complement Chris Johnson, but he leaves with 36 carries for 74 yards and four touchdowns over two seasons. Harper was bothered by an ankle injury at times last year and he wound up playing in 10 of the teams 16 games. The 5-11, 225-pound Parmele has played in 35 career NFL games over five seasons. He started two games last year for Jacksonville. One of his starts came Nov. 25 against the Titans, when Parmele carried eight times for 45 yards. Parmele went on injured reserve for the remainder of the year after suffering a groin injury in that game.
Analysis: Parmele will enter training camp in competition with Darius Reynaud as the top backup behind Johnson and Shonn Greene. He would only have Fantasy value if something happened to either one in front of him. Ignore Parmele in all leagues on Draft Day.
News: The Jaguars announced Tuesday running back Jalen Parmele was placed on injured reserve because of a groin injury suffered Week 12. The Jaguars signed Jordan Todman off the Vikings' practice squad to take Parmele's roster spot. Rashad Jennings is expected to start Week 13 at Buffalo with Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) expected to miss another game.
Analysis: This is a tough break for Parmele and Fantasy owners. Parmele had ascended to the top of the running back depth chart a few weeks ago and was performing well before getting hurt Sunday. Fantasy owners also lose a viable Fantasy option. It could be worth adding Jennings while Jones-Drew continues to recover. But Parmele going on injured reserve could mean MJD has a legit chance to return this season.
News: Jacksonville running back Jalen Parmele suffered a leg injury very early in the Week 12 game against Tennessee Sunday. Parmele carried the ball once for 13 yards in the game before getting hurt and being taken to the locker room. He returned to the sidelines and pedaled on the stationary bike for some time and finally returned to action with less than two minutes left in the first half. Parmele rushed a few more times before eventually leaving the game for good in the second half. He finished with eight carries for 45 yards to lead the team in rushing. Parmele added one catch for 7 yards. Rashad Jennings took over for Parmele while he was out and finished with 16 carries for 43 yards and a touchdown.
Analysis: Parmele took over for Jennings as the primary tailback last week at Houston and rushed 24 times for 80 yards in the game with three catches. That was the only game this season in which he's done anything worth Fantasy ownership but did appear to be a solid option going forward with Maurice Jones-Drew expected to miss even more time and perhaps the rest of the year. Parmele will have to be healthy enough to return for Week 13 at Buffalo before he has any Fantasy value. He has low-end value for now.
News: Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said Monday running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who has missed the last four games with a foot injury, is likely out Week 12 vs. Tennessee. If that happens, then Mularkey said he will stick with Jalen Parmele as the starter and work Rashad Jennings into the mix. Parmele made a surprise start Week 11 at Houston, rushing for 80 yards on 24 carries.
Analysis: Parmele averaged just 3.3 yards per carry Sunday, but clearly Jennings wasn't getting the job done and Mularkey liked what he saw from the journeyman Parmele Sunday. If Parmele does draw the start Week 12, then he will face a Titans defense yielding 118.3 rushing yards and 22.4 Fantasy points per week to running backs, which is the fourth-highest average in the NFL. That would make Parmele an intriguing Fantasy start Week 12. Consider adding him off waivers this week.
News: Jacksonville running back Jalen Parmele got the start over Rashad Jennings in the Week 11 overtime loss at Houston Sunday. With Maurice Jones-Drew still out, Jennings rushed for minus-1 yards on just three carries while Parmele had a solid game. Parmele rushed 24 times for 80 yards as he averaged 3.3 yards per carry. Parmele added three catches for 3 yards in the game. He did not score.
Analysis: Parmele entered the Week 11 game with 18 rushing yards on the season but the Jaguars decided to go with him for some reason and barely even used Jennings. MJD is not expected back just yet so it looks like Parmele will be the option for the Jaguars heading into Week 12 against Tennessee. Parmele may be added in deeper Fantasy formats but we're not expecting much.
News: Jaguars Jalen Parmele saw some playing time late in the game against the Colts in Week 10. With the game out of hand and Blaine Gabbert out with injury, Parmele was targeted two times by Chad Henne and caught just one pass for a big 26-yard gain in a 27-10 defeat.
Analysis: Parmele left a ton of Fantasy owners disappointed Thursday night as he came on for Rashad Jennings once the game was out of hand. Parmele is considered as the backup for Jennings while Maurice Jones-Drew is sidelined. He won't get much of a chance to make an impact in Fantasy against the Texans in Week 11. Keep him on waivers for now.
News: With the game out of hand, the Jaguars used Jalen Parmele as their primary running back in the fourth quarter Week 9 against the Lions, sending starter Rashad Jennings to the sidelines. Parmele finished with five carries for 15 yards and one catch for 8.
Analysis: On a per-carry basis, Jennings wasn't so bad in Week 9, so his late benching was more about preserving his health than anything else. Though Parmele may be the backup right now, keep in mind that Jennings is normally a backup himself when Maurice Jones-Drew is healthy. With a favorable matchup against the Colts in Week 10, Parmele likely won't get much of a chance to contribute in Fantasy. He's worth a look only in the deepest of leagues.
News: The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed kick returner Jalen Parmele. He previously was a backup running back for the Ravens and Dolphins.
Analysis: Unless he makes the team and unseats Maurice Jones-Drew for playing time, he's not worth owning in Fantasy.
News: The Ravens released RB Jalen Parmele on Saturday. Parmele entered the preseason as the team's backup to Ray Rice.
Analysis: Parmele could find his way to another roster before too long and could be in for a small role with an offense. Don't add him to rosters, but keep your eyes peeled.
News: The Baltimore Sun reports that Ravens RB Jalen Parmele hopes to compete with newly-signed RB Ricky Williams for the No. 2 job behind Ray Rice. Williams could not play in the teams 13-6 loss to the Eagles in the preseason opener Thursday night. Parmele, meanwhile, led all tailbacks with 35 rushing yards on seven carries. Parmele said he hopes that he made enough of an impression with the coaches to demonstrate the seriousness of his candidacy to compete with Williams for the No. 2 spot. Its all about establishing a role, Parmele said. Thats what these preseason games are for. Im just establishing a role and developing a comfort to where the coaches can say, OK, this is what hes good at. So lets put him in. Thats my goal, to develop that role.
Analysis: We expect Parmele to be third on the depth chart behind Rice and Williams, but if he does play well he could improve his outlook. Still, Parmele has a lot of work to do and isn't worth drafting in the majority of leagues. Ignore him on Draft Day.
News: The Baltimore Ravens had six players fail to record an offensive stat in Week 16 at Pittsburgh with WR David Tyree, TE Edgar Jones, TE L.J. Smith, RB Jalen Parmele, WR Mark Clayton and backup QB Troy Smith.
Analysis: Clayton was dealing with a knee injury but was listed as active and just did not have a catch. The rest of these players have minimal Fantasy value and should not be used in Week 17 at Oakland.
News: The Ravens had five players who did not record any stats on offense Sunday against Chicago with TE L.J. Smith, WR David Tyree, WR Justin Harper, RB Jalen Parmele and TE Edgar Jones.
Analysis: All of these players have minimal Fantasy value. Don't plan on using them in any leagues in Week 16 at the Steelers.
News: Ravens RB Jalen Parmele got some carries in garbage time on Sunday in a Week 14 win over the Lions. He gained 17 yards on five carries, with a long of 7 yards.
Analysis: Parmele had not been given a single carry before Week 14 against Detroit. He wont likely touch the rock Week 15 against Chicago unless theres another blowout, so keep him on waivers in all formats.
News: The Baltimore Ravens had five players fail to stat in the Week 13 Monday night loss at Green Bay. Those players are: WR Demetrius Williams, WR David Tyree, TE Edgar Jones, RB Jalen Parmele and backup QB Troy Smith.
Analysis: None of these players have any Fantasy value heading into Week 14 against Detroit.
News: Ravens WR David Tyree, TEs L.J. Smith and Edgar Jones, RB Jalen Parmele and backup QB Troy Smith all dressed for Baltimore's Week 12 win over the Steelers but failed to record an offensive stat.

News: The Ravens have declared their inactives for Week 11 vs. Indianapolis: QB John Beck, RB Matt Lawrence, RB Jalen Parmele, LB Terrell Suggs, DL Brandon McKinney and DL Kelly Talavou.
Analysis: Suggs was named out earlier this week, so you should have already benched him in all IDP formats. The rest of these guys have no Fantasy value.
News: Baltimore has listed the following players as inactive for Week 10 on Monday night at Cleveland: 3rd QB John Beck, RB Matt Lawrence, RB Jalen Parmele, DL Oniel Cousins, DL Kelly Talavou and LB Antwan Barnes.
Analysis: The Ravens have listed a bunch of players who are most likely never going to be viable Fantasy options this season. You can leave them all on waivers in all leagues.
News: Baltimore will be without DL Haloti Ngata for Week 9 at the Bengals. The following players are also inactive for that game: DB Frank Walker, RB Jalen Parmele, LB Antwan Barnes, DL Paul Kruger, QB John Beck and DL Oniel Cousins.
Analysis: Ngata is one of the NFL's best defensive tackles, but he is a better run stuffer than pass rusher. Therefore, he remains nothing more than a low-end Fantasy DL in IDP formats, when healthy. Keep him and the rest of the players listed above inactive for Week 9.
News: Baltimore has listed the following players as inactive for Week 8 against Denver: QB John Beck, RB Jalen Parmele, CB Frank Walker, OLB Antwan Barnes, NT Kelly Talavou, and LB/DE Paul Kruger.

Analysis: The Ravens have listed a bunch of players who are most likely never going to be viable Fantasy options this season. You can leave them all on waivers in all leagues. Tyree is an intriguing new wrinkle to the roster but has yet to showcase any Fantasy value.
News: Baltimore listed the following players as inactive for Week 4 at New England: QB John Beck, RB Jalen Parmele, LB Tavares Gooden, DL Oniel Cousins, TE Tony Curtis, DL Brandon McKinney and DL Kelly Talavou.
Analysis: There are no shocking names on this list. Most of these players are reserves or contribute on special teams for the Ravens. They have little to no Fantasy value. Keep them reserved Week 4.
News: The Ravens list the following players as being inactive for Week 3 hosting Cleveland: QB John Beck; RB Jalen Parmele; LB Dannell Ellerbe; TE Tony Curtis; NT Kelly Talavou; LB Paul Kruger.
Analysis: There are no shocking names on this list. Most of these players are reserves or contribute on special teams for the Ravens. They have little to no Fantasy value. Keep them reserved Week 3.
News: Notable inactives from Week 1's Chiefs-Ravens game include: Chiefs QB Matt Cassel, QB Matt Gutierrez (No. 3/emergency QB), CB Brandon Flowers, RB Dantrell Savage, TE Jake O'Connell, DE Turk McBride and LB Pierre Walters. For the Ravens, QB John Beck (No. 3/emergency QB), RB Jalen Parmele, LB Dannell Ellerbe, TE L.J. Smith and LB Paul Kruger are inactive.
Analysis: Brodie Croyle is expected to start for the Chiefs in place of Cassel. No other Chiefs are worth using in Fantasy play. As for the Ravens, L.J. Smith's inactivity might mean a decent week for Todd Heap, so you might want to consider him. Everyone else on the Ravens isn't worth using in Fantasy play.
News: Baltimore had the following players active in Week 16 on Saturday night against Dallas but not pick up any offensive stats: QB Troy Smith, WR Marcus Smith, TE Daniel Wilcox and RB Jalen Parmele.
Analysis: Most of these players are reserves for the Ravens and hardly play a role on offense when active. Continue to keep them off Fantasy rosters heading into Week 17 against Jacksonville.
News: Ravens QB Todd Bouman (3rd), RB Jalen Parmele, WR Terrance Copper, WR Marcus Maxwell and DB Evan Oglesby have all been ruled inactive for Week 15 vs. Pittsburgh.

Not in uniform will be: third QB John Beck (coach's decision), DE Lionel Dotson (coach's decision), WR Brandon London (coach's decision), Jalen Parmele (coach's decision) and DE Rodrique Wright (coach's decision).
Analysis: None of these players have any Fantasy value and should be unowned in most formats anyway. Continue to ignore them.
News: The Dolphins have announced their inactives for their Week 2 game at Arizona. Not in uniform will be: third QB John Beck (coach's decision), DE Lionel Dotson (coach's decision), WR Brandon London (coach's decision), RB Jalen Paremele (coach's decision) and DE Rodrique Wright (coach's decision).

News: The Dolphins have announced their inactives for Week 1 against the Jets: WR Ernest Wilford, QB John Beck, DB Michael Lehan, RB Jalen Parmelee, DL Lionel Dotson and DL Rodrique Wright.
Analysis: Many people in deeper leagues drafted Wilford thinking he would start in Miami. So much for that. Keep him benched in all formats and you might need to release him some time down the road. None of these other players have any Fantasy value.
News: Dolphins rookie RB Jalen Parmele had a strong game Saturday against Kansas City in Miamis third preseason game. He had seven carries for 89 yards and a touchdown, including a run of 80 yards. Parmele got an extended look behind starter Ricky Williams with Ronnie Brown (thumb) out. Through three preseason games, Parmele has 15 carries for 114 yards and the touchdown.
Analysis: Parmele is fighting for a roster spot to be Miamis No. 2 RB behind Williams and Brown. He has minimal Fantasy value in seasonal leagues and is worth a late-round pick in rookie-only drafts.
